The constant heat and smoke exposure is finally starting to get to me. I feel so sick and stressed.

Thunderstruck by ACDC

I was listening to this one at work today! Love me some hard rock. <3

Right now I have Jimi Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower stuck in my head.

Hm yeah, could someone w/ an account edit that bit out of Mimic's article? I'd do it myself but I don't have an account on there; maybe it could just be rewritten to make it clear that's speculation and not proven fact?

I'm running off to work right now, but I caught this and edited the article. Left the sought after part there as she is... well, sought after. We're just not sure why.

Pony Corral / Question about fade-prone hair colors!
« on: April 08, 2021, 01:30:19 PM »
Hi peeps! I'm still around, just not very active in the toy-collecting community these days.

Anyways, I'm taking the last of my ponies out of storage, and I'd like to know: what hair colors are prone to fading? I know light pink is one, but I wonder if there are others I should be concerned about.

Secondly, can these colors be faded by indirect sunlight? Most of my ponies are stored on an open bookshelf right behind my bedroom door. As such, they're usually in semi-darkness. Is it still safe to store fade-prone ponies there, or do they need to be banished to my closet?

Thanks for taking the time to read. Hope life is treating everyone well.  :good:

Thanks, everyone. I'm running out the door and will have to update this later, but the TL;DR version is that multiple police reports were made. Apparently a lot of people heard when he was cussing me out the other night.

I am being stalked and verbally harassed by a local at my workplace. He is known for being a dangerous character, too - I don't know why the hell he hasn't been arrested yet. Thank God I have a team of strong women who have my back. We're done with his crap.

Definitely not a trivial complaint by any means, but I don't want to make a full thread for it. Just needed to get it off my chest.

Pony Corral / When did MLP prices get so high?!
« on: December 23, 2020, 10:42:13 AM »
Hey pony peeps! I'm still around, just a little frazzled by all the holiday stress. ;) Hope everyone is doing well.

Now that I have more (regular) income, I'm tentatively starting to look into rebuilding my collection. Still got a handful of my childhood ponies left, but most of them have been long gone. While I understand that they went to great homes and am grateful for the income they brought,  I -really- regret downsizing the way I did.

The bulk of my collecting was done from 2007-2011, at a time when G3s were still abundant in secondhand shops (along with the occasional G1.) Nowadays I'm lucky if I can find a G4 while thrifting, let alone the older gens. I thought, "Well, you can find anything on the *internet these days! I can get some of my old ponies back!"

* Internet being eBay, MLPTP, the Arena, and Craigslist

...If I'm willing to shell out at least $10-$15 for a common G1. Even G3 prices are starting to creep up; and I haven't even looked at G2.

Am I just looking in the wrong places? Are these oddly high prices? Or has inflation hit the secondhand toy market and I wasn't paying attention? I don't ever remember first-release Seaponies being $30-$40 each, if not more. (Granted, I was also in my tweens / early teens at the time.) It seems like other collectors' markets, like Care Bears and video games, have skyrocketed too (although I suspect Covid has a lot to do with the latter.)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. I was really looking forward to adding to my collection, but if it's going to cost me a few hundred dollars to do it... it may just be a pipe dream.

HUGE congratulations on your new house! That is such a big achievement, especially in this day and age. And it's adorable to boot!

I love house / room tours, always fun seeing what people do with their interior decor. Thanks for sharing!

Redditor is a masterpiece.

Pheasant is a beige pegasus pony with black, grey, and white hair, a party theme, and Twice as Fancy symbols.

Not much of a party person, but okay lol.

I threw my real name (which I'm keeping private) in for grins and giggles. She suits me really well!

[Redacted] is a silver pegasus pony with purple, pink, and white hair, a dog theme, and super-long hair.

Thanks for sharing, Ragamuffin! This was fun.

That is so frustrating, BlackCurtains! I know I haven't spoken to you directly, but from what I've seen of your previous posts, you've been trying to get that claim for a long time. :( Hope everything works out for you.

The cold weather has been making it difficult to use my hands - if they're even slightly cold they tense up. Not sure if it's due to an underlying health issue or if I just need to stretch them more.
