Popular, You're gonna be Pop-u-lar!

Has anyone noticed that their favorite childhood ponies are also some of the really popular ones. 
Or, am I just thinking my favorites are popular because I search them out and see others liking them too (I wouldn't be searching for ones I don't like)?

For example Sugarberry (UK Strawberry Fair).  I fell in love with her when she came out.  I "earned" her by being extra good at a very very boring thing my mom wanted to go to.  She is still one of the most beautiful ponies I think exists.  It also seems many other people think the same thing.

So do you have a favorite pony that everyone else really likes too?

Mimic...wanted her as a child, grew up and thought I CAN HAVE HER NOW....well guess what!!

Quackers and Baby Rainribbon were my first two childhood ponies, and I still love them.  Of the ones I didn't have, I always wanted Lickety-Split, Fizzy, Cupcake, Wind Whistler and Galaxy which are also popular ponies :-)

I had all the "commons" - Cotton Candy, Bow Tie, AJ and Moonstone as a little girl so thankfully most of these girls are easy enough to come by. But I remember getting Masquerade as a special present - I was even allowed to pick her up in the store and she is always a popular gal with people nowadays!

The wingers and flutter ponies were my favorite when I was little. I'm finding that some are easier to get than others

My favourite pony as a child was Gusty,
and though not rare/expensive she's certainly popular!

ye I found that to I always wanted mimic when I was younger but  she was not relised in the uk    so hula hula had to stand in when i reenacted the cartoon.  but I got her now  it only took twenty years or so. (and I didn't break the bank either)

I love Gusty.  I had her as a so soft and really wanted the regular version of her.  She is the only pony I tried to deflock by scraping at her fur.  I think I ruined her.    I still haven't replaced her for some reason, but she is always on my mind as one to buy. 

Mimic was one I wanted but couldn't find in the stores.  I also was shocked she was a rare pricey pony.  I still hope to get her someday but I feel like I can wait.

Glow 'n Shows and Sparkle ponies were my faves as a kid, and they all seem to be quite popular  But then, who doesn't love glittery glowy things?

I had really common ponies as a child Though I think Masquerade is a bit popular and my sister had Fizzy and Galaxy I always loved TE And now I own Mimic - my most beloved pony I can never thank my family enough for her!

My favorite ponies were Sparkler (my first MLP), and the Ballerina Babies, and the Magic Message Ponies.

So...were my favorites the popular ones? NOPE. I hardly ever hear people talking about these lol.

My favorite is Rainbow Curl Ringlet...she's not UNpopular, I guess, but not one of the most popular. Though I also really love Gusty.

Well, I don't know because I wanted ANY pony when I was a kid. That's right, you heard it straight. I never got one.single.pony. when I was a little girl. So I would go over to my neighbors house next door - and she would push over 1 or 2 really ratty ponies, while she happily played next to me with about 40 mint ponies of hers. 

Now I get every pony I want and that girl can kiss MY behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wingwhistler  was and is my favorite and seems to remain a popular pony though luckily fairly easy to track own.

My favorite pony was Raincurl, who seems fairly popular.  I remember saving up my allowance and buying her and one other pony (can't remember, perhaps a yellow pony?) from the drugstore when I was little.  I remember spending seven dollars, so they must have been 3.50 each.  I have no idea what year that was!  Feels like ages ago!
