I bought a box of bait ponies from a member here a while back, and just finished up with restoring all of them . Well, one of them suffered from marker... and needed sunbathing. Since we are in Canada, and the sun isn't so great at this time of year, it took many months to get her to where I was satisfied calling her 'done!'. So here she is... before and afters.

Lotsa tail rust

Ewww! I literally had to go into her legs as the rust was in her feet, her horn, everything. It's amazing how much that actually discolored the pony!
And now... AFTER

The pink marks faded completely. There is still a tiny pen mark on her raised leg, and one by her eye, but they are much lighter than before. Her eyes could probably use a touch up of black paint as they have rubs, but not now. I just want to enjoy her!

Gorgeous! I just love Milky Way, and seeing before and after pics gives me warm fuzzies all over.
I'm working on a Parasol, currently. When I got her she was covered in grime and moldy mildew spots. She's also got a severe mane trim up front, but she's cleaning up really well! Who would have thought under all that grime, she has PERFECT blush? :D

I love cleaning grimy ponies! Gives such a feel good feeling! And I think, of all the ponies I have, Milky Way has to be one of my favorites! If I would have had her as my first actual pony, she would be. As it is, Lickety Split is my fave because I had her as a child and LOVED her. Powder is pretty awesome too...
I think if I could have a Milkyway army, I might!!! She's so pretty!

That must be a very happy pony!
Iel is that mold inside the pony! I don't want to know how my ponies look like from the inside.

-
Magnificent job. MW is lucky to have you ;)

Iel is that mold inside the pony! I don't want to know how my ponies look like from the inside.
Thankfully, not mold! Just very flaky rust. it seems to get everywhere inside those little plastic bodies! It was not easy getting it out of the feet... I spent a LOT of time doing that!
I'm sunfading a few more ponies... one with mold spots or cancer... not sure that will do much, but it may fade them a little. The other looked like it had some sunfading before, but it didn't get rid of it completely, so I'm doing so now. Another pony had a price written on her in black pen o.O Grrr. The blue marker on her is gone, as is the rust stain on her behind. I love the sun! :)
