Welcome to the Arena! :good:

Pokémon and LPS are some wonderful interests, too. May I ask who's your favourite pokemon?

Griffin, parlor palms, Areca palms and ponytail palms are cat safe :) I have those (well, had the parlor)

Thanks, I'll check those out! I did look up some lists again and found some good ones. The difficulty has always been that lists of toxic plants are abundant, but it's much rarer to find lists of plants that are cat-safe. I need ideas! And preferably with pictures even, because it's annoying to then google all those plants individually, I usually lose steam before I get half-way through the lists. Especially if the lists are in English, as I'll need to find out the Finnish names, too, if I want to go shopping. So much work! :P

Palms may be out of question though because they apparently require quite a bit of light... I could try the corner by the window where I currently have the cat tree.

I never got around to repotting my plants this spring but did some basic care and maintenance yesterday, like removing snapped or brown leaves from my spiderplants, cutting off some of the pups, and watering all plants that needed it. I typically let some of the spiderplants grow pups because they look fun trailing down the cabinet in the kitchen, but I now have three plants from the same mother and a couple of pups growing in glasses of water, I don't want them to take over my whole apartment, lol!

I've recently been in the mood for redecorating (well, mostly just trying to actually get to some of the ideas we had when we first moved into this apartment NINE years ago :yikes: ) and decided to move one of the smaller spiderworts into the living room. I hung it by the window and I'm amazed at how different the whole vibe of the room is! Thus far we haven't had any plants in the living room because it's pretty dark, and because all plants need to be placed somewhere where the cats can't reach them. Apparently spiderworts are toxic to cats but luckily they have not shown any interest in them. I'd love to have a taller plant to brighten up the livingroom but I haven't found any that are cat safe, I believe most palms and the monstera are toxic. A banana tree would be cool (and pet friendly, I just learned after googling), but I don't think the room gets enough light for that.

I also repotted some store-bought herbs a few days ago but I'm not sure if they'll survive... The basil looks good so far but the coriander (cilantro) and the flatleaf parsley are not looking too happy, haha. I've never had any luck with coriander, usually it gets attacked by mites whatever I do, this time around I don't think it even survived the repotting. Maybe I should try growing it from seeds or something? I still try repotting a store-bought coriander every year because it seems like such a waste to throw away the plant (herbs I buy in the supermarket usually come in pots or at least with their roots, but if they aren't potted they rarely survive in my experience, so I feel less bad about throwing it away.) I wish I could grow fresh herbs all year round but I'd probably need a special planter or something for them, something that comes with a growlight and ideal humidity conditions... And growing herbs from seed would be ideal but somehow the early spring always just slips away and then it's too late, ooops.

Are you looking for suggestions from all generations? :)

My G1 favourites are Gusty, Butterscotch (but maybe not ideal for a colouring book), the Brush 'n' Grow set, the Rainbow Curl set, Barnacle and Wigwam (or any boy pony really).

This is so cool! :wow:  The fiery bull looks amazing and I love the trees fading into the background - great use of watercolour here for the desired effect!

After the weird late-spring heatwave, we've been enjoying rather normal Finnish summer weather and temperatures. Sunny, cloudy, some rain and thunder here and there. At the moment it's cloudy, about 17°C (62-63°F), a bit windy. The weekend and next week should be a little warmer, between 20-24 degrees, which in my opinion is the ideal summer weather, I don't need it any hotter than that. :D

I'm sorry so many of you have to deal with heat and other unpleasant weather conditions. :( High humidity is the worst, too!

My Windows keeps crashing especially when I watch Netflix, and just now it randomly crashed on a normal website (no videos or pictures), which hasn't happened before. I think the issue started after the latest system updates some time ago. I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to issues like this... so I'm not sure what solutions to try. I'm using Firefox, and both the browser and the system have the latest updates installed. I get the blue screen of death but it just flashes quickly before restarting, so I haven't been able to read what it says about the error and google for solutions. A general Google search did not help much...

Steeleye Span - Commoner's Crown (album) and before this, Below the Salt (album) because in my dream last night I had this terrible urge to hear 'King Henry' from that album :D
