Someone has changed the sign post saying "Thetford Ranges" to say "Thetford ORanges". Not only in one direction of the dual carriageway, but in both directions. I only noticed that it goes in both directions today.

First summery day of the year, so I filled a water bottle, grabbed Bakana & my phone, & took a walk along the coast paths. I even saw red admirals!!! They're beautiful butterflies

yesterday i put up some of the new artwork i got. and i also put a shelf together. now i just need to add the doors and my shelf area in the living room will be assembled. now i just need to fill it up

My snails are nerite O-ring patterned. I was going to get sun spikes, but they were from California and I didn't think they'd survive the trip. I'd like to get three more of a different pattern. Nerite snails don't breed in fresh water so I don't have to worry about that. I have a lot of algae and diatoms in my tank, so they have plenty to eat. They liked the shrimp food I put in too. The shrimp are doing well so far

What made me smile today though... I was watching videos of pet dart frogs (I think they are awesome and want to get some some day), one video was a compilation of frogs eating. Michael Jackson's Beat It started playing and I thought okay. But I was wrong. It was Weird Al's Eat It. It made me laugh so hard I haven't listened to Weird Al in a long time, so after the frog video I looked him up on YouTube and there's a playlist of his best songs. I got through three of them and had to stop because I was laughing too much. I forgot how funny the videos are.

yay for the UK hopefully getting some better leadership! also can no one get that man an umbrella? i don't like the "secure a better future for our children" talk. gives me bad vibes.

My daughter is learning letters today and has started to say the phonic names for letters in the word d u c k, because it's her favourite word. We were using giant foam letters to learn with. When she brought over to me the letter F I kept telling her that we didn't need it to say 'duck' but for some reason she insisted. I keep having the strange impression that she has lived many lives before.

i wish we could have early general elections in the US. i think it's something only in parliamentary governments and from what i understand the UK has much better campaign finance laws so the elections are less miserable and shorter.

Taffeta, the "secure a better future for our children" talk was something i also noticed it from Liz Truss. It's very similar phrasing associated with white nationalists and super far right people here in the US. except the white nationalists say "white children". it could be nothing. but i didn't like seeing it again
