We just call it Fat Tuesday here and most Americans use it as another excuse to drink copious amounts of alcohol.

I feel pretty good today My right leg is a little sore but that's it. As much as my back hurt yesterday, it's all better today.

I didn't understand why Easter moved around either for a long time.  One year I got a diary for Easter and the next Easter I wrote about having the diary for a year.  It confused me why Easter wasn't on the same date.

Her name means Guardian in Indigenous Australian. It's apt.

Bakana is having a blast! 

I'm smiling because I flew back home to the UK after a very fun week in Nashville, TN, for a guitar class get-together, catching up with friends and experiencing Cracker Barrel for the very first time! Loved the gift shop and bought some very cute salt-shakers in so many shapes: bunnies, mushroom, fried egg, snail... saw no pony merch though...

It's from yesterday now but found out yesterday that the new project I'm starting with at work means I'm getting a 15% raise. Been frustrated with how I've been working there 3 and a half years and never got a raise once so this is very good news and a long time coming.

John remembered he had a portable discreader for his PC. He plugged it into the computer and my Secret of Nimh DVD works on it! So he moved it to my computer! It's not a bigscreen TV but I can at least watch it! I am so happy!

Yay! I'm so glad you resolved it!!!

My happy thing for today - two little seedlings poking through on the trays on my windowsill. It has been sunny lately, and the radiator underneath means they've had some warmth. Hopefully they keep going!

One of the drivers had been in Japan for vacation (she's from there originally) and when she came back she had brought a lot of weird japanese snacks. While disussing those I asked her about Pocky and she said she had not thought of buying those, but next time.. weeks went by, I had three days off from work and when I started my workphone yesterday she had left a message that she had put Pocky in my file compartment.. so I went to look and there was a box of strawberry pocky! That was so sweet .

I had a nice surprise at work this morning...a belated birthday card my colleagues had signed (they didn't actually know my birthday till last weekend, so I wasn't expecting anything like that). And then a colleague came in from her shift at another branch and said, "I have something for you..." so she gives me this gift, which is a pretty, sakura-themed pencil case (I love stationery!) which says "the scent of sakura" on it in Japanese.

And then I got home and my birthday present from my friend in India had also arrived, with some pretty bookmarks from delhi

BC:  awesome shirt, I only have 1 pony tank top I can still wear these days.  I had a few from Hot Topic but they have all shrunk due to age

I had a nice dream last night, I went to a yard sale and found little "vintage" embroidered patches that do not exist in real life, but they were Snoopy and oh so cute.  i also found a textbook that I had seen once at university but was never able to find for purchase.  I wonder why my brain does this "fantasy shopping" thing... it's very common with ponies.  Although I don't ever think any dream will ever be better than the "yard sale with the MLP in barrels that I loaded into a massive truck and drove away with"
