I was once given Wigwam as a gift by an ex. I'm afraid through a combination of being annoyed that he had presumed to know which ponies I wanted, and the fact that it was early in my collecting days, he ended up being unceremoniously dumped in the bin 

I regretted it not long afterwards as I realised that I did, in fact, want to collect the boy ponies and I needed Wigwam, and because I realised I had done the unthinkable and taken a valuable collectible pony out of circulation forever.

I learned my lesson, however, and will never, ever, EVER get rid of a pony in that way ever again and if I do, I will at the very least donate to charity so someone else can have the delight of finding him/her in the wild.

Personally, I would not take ponies out with me as I don't want to risk losing them, damaging them or anything else that might happen to them I prefer to keep them at home and ogle them in their storage boxes. Occasionally one or two might be lucky enough to make it downstairs to...wait for it...
