OMG I'm writing a novel!

I woke up one morning and decided this.
I am currently at 28K words with my minimum goal being 50K.

It makes me so happy! It's a great creative outlet.

Anyone else working on writing something? What inspires you to write?

Im not writing anything due to not having the time to. Ive wrote short stories before, & they were always very fun    One day I may have the time to write a longer book, or least its a goal in the future. I get inspirations from the outdoors, reading older novels such as Anne of Green Gables ect., My daughter is a great helper with Imagination too. Good luck with yours and have fun!

Oh man I'd imagine children would be a great well of inspiration. Some of the things they come up with is just golden.

That is awesome! Best of luck with it! And everything inspires me. I like to observe the world around me and something will always jump out eventually no matter what I'm doing. Sometimes I don't even know what it is that starts it but suddenly the characters start bouncing around and yammering on again or sometimes a complete new character shows up. My head is very........Chaotic most days.

Congrats!  That's a great word count. Keep at it!  I'm writing a novella with my friend, and I'm starting another teen nonfiction book. I get inspired by really random things, like facts I learn while writing nonfiction.  Honestly, what inspires me to write right now is my friend and wife. But money helps too.  I can talk out stories with the two of them.
