Generation 1 ponies ribbons and FTBs

This is sorta on topic but move if need be.

Are the MLP regular Gen 1 ribbons the same as or different than EDIT(fairy tail bird)  ribbons.  I know they are the same size but are they the same material? 

Please let me know as soon as possible.  There are 2 that would be the correct color for sale but I want them to be the correct ribbon material.

What do you mean by "MLP ribbons"?  The Gen 1 ribbons are cotton and have a distinct look/feel, but not sure what you are comparing them to.

I meant are the same as FTB not the same as MLP ribbons sorry I mis-abbreviated

I don't have any MIB birds to check in my own collection, but judging based on the pictures I've seen, most of their ribbons look significantly shinier than packaged MLP ribbons.  I'd tentatively say they're probably not cotton, but it seems odd that Hasbro would use two different kinds for similar toys.  It could just be the way they are wrapped up.


Anyone with a MIB Fairy Tail able to check?

I have some original Fairy Tail ribbons but no MLP original ribbons.  Someone else suggested they are more shiny(satin)  than the completely matte MLP original ribbons..but just making sure.  The FTBs seem more shiny on one side..are mlp ribbons not shiny on either side?  They share so much in common (hair, names, bow barettes) you would think they would share ribbons.

All the MIP pony ribbons I've had in my possession are matte on both sides, and have a certain thickness to them - they're pretty unique, you can easily identify a real ribbon by touch.  Shiny on one side, matte on the other sounds more like a polyester ribbon, not cotton.
