You can always check Yutube. You can find some helpful tutorials there! There are some (like Andreja's) that you only "watch"the process, and some that the person actually explains every step and the materials used ^^

Knibitz, That's so sad to hear TT'
I've already waited several months for dolls (don't really think it's "bad" even thouht it's very inconvenient)...
But if it's a matter of quality and lack of safe packing, than it's really a problem ;-;

Too bad, I was still considering to buy from them... But maybe (since the dolls are the avarage price)  they're not too dificult to find second handed? (well, I trully believe they're way easier to get than an actual Kinoko Juice doll) @@'' ... so... that means we need other sources? XD
... really, I would apreciate other options for Kinoko's-impossible-to-get dolls uu'

I've died already for those Kinoko Juice dolls (in SPANK! outfit they're just irresistible TT).
I really tried to get one for quite a while... I was really willing to pay a little fortune for one of them -_-''
But time passed by and I kinda lost my interest.. probably because of the huge amout of frustation for not being able to get one even if I had the money...

I did a lot of research and I kinda felt like if I wanted one yet, I'd rather get an Enfant Ai.
Anyway.. not a Kinoko Juice doll, but since they're way too expensive and almost impossible to get, then:

(The one in the image is Choo)

Quite adorable if you want a doll in this style...
The stock pics aren't that brilliant, but I do think a nice and cute faceup, hair and outfit wouldn't let these Enfant Ai's Choo dolls way too far from Kinoko Juice's Kiki... And The other faces of Enfant Ai are cute too.

Those are chubby/babylike, but if it's not your intention than you can aways think about an hybrid (spare bodies are there for this kind os purposes ;D).

Well, I'm pretty used to BJD and I use to get the bigger dolls, so I actually think anything less than $150 for a tiny is actually a good price @_@'' (my bank account usually desagrees but...)

This Bunny IS cute >< I'm having some trouble to resist it as well... But I don't have much space for tinies ._. They'd be like forever inside a box, such a waste! u-u

But ChaCha's sexy belly (X D!) and bent year is so dawn cute! T_T

But what I keep saying myself is that if a doll is perfect for a character, it's better so save more money and get it rather than buying a cheaper doll and don't get as happy with it as you could ._. ...

The Dollhouse / Re: How Does Layaway Work & Who Offers It?
« on: September 14, 2012, 01:32:20 PM »
Because BJDs are quite expensive, it's pretty usual to see stores (and people of the second hand market) offering layaway.

The main rule is:
You pay the first part of it just to "confirm" you're serious about the buy.
You pay the other parts considering the "gap" of time the seller offers you till you complete the order.

It depends how much you'll pay in each parcel, and how many days you can wait to pay each parcel. Each dealer give their own rules. Some ask  50% of the full amount at the first payment, some might split the full price evenly. And the number of parcels/ days to pay each parcel may vary.

So you might always ask the deales/read on the site the layaway rules.

Layaway system is a good thing if:
> You are the type of person that can't hold money to pay a full doll (because you'd buy other things instead rather than keeping a big amount), so you get "stuck" to the duty of paying the doll.

> You are interested in a doll that's limited quantity/limited period for order, and you don't have enought money to pay full, so you "split" the payments so you don't miss the limited doll.

> You are interested in a doll/part of the second hand market. You can't pay full, but don't want to miss the deal to someone else that might buy the iten before you. So tou contact the dealer and, eather the dealer "hold" the iten for you for a while, or he might offer you a layaway.

I usually prefer to pay full (I keep my "doll money" and use it when I have enought. I tend to pay by layaway when I want a limited doll and can't affoard it full by the order period.

I also forgot to list I have two Little Mermeid dolls. They are:
Ariel in a pink/disco outfit (mermeid tail and top) and very long hair.
Ariel with the classic shell top and an jeans tail you´re supposed to paint/decour yourself. Medium hair (like in the cartoon).
 ^.^

Well, Not actually Harry Potter "Barbies"... Those are dolls from the very beginning of the series (or the movies at least). I just treat them as part of my Barbie collection because they fit just fine among the Barbies. They're smaller, like Barbie kids (because they where kids atthe begining of the serie) and have a full joited body (those are very well made dolls with stunning face and details). They also can share clothes with Barbie's younger sister that I just forgot the name right now ^.^

About Sailor Moon, I have... well, the Sailor Moon doll
The doll is in her sailor suit and have all the accessories (the moon rod, the tiara, boots, chocker....) to resume, nothing is missing ;)

If you´re interested, let me know

The tiny chubby bunny is cute, but I also like the bubble headed one ^.^
I cant help but thinking it would match just fine with a bubble headed pullip   ;)

I never keep anything in a box X D
I'm the kind that gets the new doll and want it out of the box as quickly as possible ><'

But I do keep a lot of boxes ._.' I might do some "cleanning"around here, since I don't have any space left for boxes, and I do have new dolls on the way... so I'm desperatelly looking for space... But it will be really difficult to throw some of these boxes away T-T

Your doll is too pretty to stay inside a box, debox her soon and take nice pics of her surrounded with lots and lots of candies lol

Well, I do have a few Disney Barbies that I might be willing to sell.
I keep these dolls for years, I aways had this "collector soul" XD So they where kept in very nice conditions (not mint thought, but they're all in nice shape).

I do have Pocahontas (the one that had the leaves drawning apearing on her dress under the sun... I think this effect might still work).
I also have Jasmine (in a very pretty purple bath suit version).

About other Barbies, I have Anastasia and Dimitri, I do have Harry Potter and Hermione, Sailor Moon and a few other characters.

But I actually never thought about how much I might ask for them. Mabe if you're interested and you make a good offer, I might accept it

 ^.^.

The Dollhouse / Re: BJD Sizes. *noob question alert*
« on: September 12, 2012, 10:08:33 AM »
Hi!

I found some pics that might help you understand the sizes!

Here you can see a Bambicrony Yo (about 26cm):

And here you can se another Yo next to a Pullip:

And here you can see an SD (about 60~66cm) next to an Yo and a Pullip:

Those YoSD above are sightly taller than Cherish Molly, as you can see here:

Here you have another Bambicrony (as the one pictured above with the Pullip) and another Yo from Custom House (Petite Ai). Between them you can see a Cherish Doll, wich is quite smaller... So CUTE!

Hope that helps, good luck with your girl ^^
