Just thought I'd say. a surf dancer and her shell sold for £26? (i think, i cant remember off the top of my head) today on ebay :)

Sea Ponies with their shells sell for a lot, so if you sold them all together in a bundle listing, they could potentially go for a hefty sum :)

(Just checked and she actually sold for £28, so i wasnt far off ^.^ )

I'm definitely a tie between a night owl and a permanently exhausted pigeon. I don't like falling asleep, but I love sleeping. Once I fall asleep I can stay asleep for hours (19 hours is my record), and when I'm awake I'm always exhausted >_<

Post Merge: June 22, 2018, 11:46:49 AM

I'm a night owl, in that I only "wake up" around 9PM.  At that point I have been awake since 5:30 AM and should be tired, but I spend all day exhausted and then *DING* it's time to start some long, involved project because I am wired!

Me too! I can sleep all day, and be exhausted all day, but at around 11pm my brain goes ping and I'm awake all night

This thread is honestly pure gold, I've never laughed so hard.

Either the creators were always having bad days or they were just too lazy to correct their mistakes and thought no one would ever notice

Oh boy, its all so confusing

I just thought I'd ask with them being so visibly different, everything about the stamped one is bigger than the nc!

Thanks for the replies though haha, she can go with the rest of my purgatory ponies (unconfirmed origins) for now!

These are hilarious  I have all the episodes on VHS and I've been watching them repeatedly for years and I've never realised the mistakes!

The only one I've ever noticed was in a Tales episode where the ponies meet the Berrytowns, the mum calls the baby pony Posey, and then a second later calls her Cherry.

Surely they had to notice when watching the episodes through?

More on the kids and parents ignoring them thing:

I hate it when adults leave their children to the teenagers at family gatherings, like I'm sorry, but I'm here to see my family, not to be your personal baby sitter -_-

At my last family gathering, which was a memorial day for my late uncle (he was 21, so it was still sore), everyone was really emotional as can be expected, but they were telling their children to go find me and hang out with me so they could get drunk. Within half an hour I was nannying 16 kids, only a three of which I'm related to. I also have social anxiety, so being left with a whole clutch of loud, obnoxious kids who are complete strangers did nothing to help my anxiety at all. What made it worse was that every time they went to bug their parents or got too loud, I got an earful off the adults. The kids were not my responsibility and so to be shouted at for someone else's kids messing about was a huge blow. I ended up having a huge panic attack and grabbing my three little cousins and fleeing to the local country park until late. I felt bad for abandoning all the kids, but at the same time, they're really not my responsibility, I didn't even know their names. My cousins were the only ones who were actually listening to me and being quiet!

If they really didn't want to be with their kids they should have got a baby sitter, or someone else to mind the kids so they could go alone :(

(I don't know about nirvana, but for the photo:)

Get rid of anything except the img tags and everything in between. It should say: blahblahuselesslinks[img]flickrurlthing[img]moreannoyingthings

Basically, get rid of everything in red. Only keep the img tags and the photo link between the img tags.

Hope you get the actual info you want ;)

Thank you!

I love the flutter ponies! They're so delicate and small and I've been lucky enough to get my girls with their original wings and curls still intact. I'm too scared to handle them to much because I'm skilled in dropping things, but they're very aesthetically pleasing to me ^.^

Hi!

I asked the same question a few months back about a Mummy Apple Delight I've had for years without a country stamp and came to the conclusion that she was just a Hong Kong pony, but, a few weeks ago I received a bundle with another Mummy Apple Delight that made me question whether of not she could be a Spanish?

Both ponies are different, the China stamped one (left) has bigger eyes and symbols than the NC (Right)? They're very obviously different to the eye (I'm not sure if the picture does much justice to their differences).

Oh gosh, I don't know!

I actually only collect G1 and G3, although i do have a lot of childhood G2 ponies.

If i was to completely start over I would still collect both generations but I think I would start by year, so G1 would be collected first

I...I took a whiff of my daughter's Coconut Grove. I dunno if the smell has mutated with age, or if hasbro legit doesn't know what coconut smells like, but I did not find it particularly pleasant. It's kinda put me off getting one for myself.

I have two of Coconut Grove, one was a childhood pony and the other i got in a bundle a few months back. My childhood coconut smells sweet like coconut but the other one, oh my god, she smells awful. I really want to soak her in some perfume for a few months to get rid of the smell >_<

Pony Corral / Re: What were your pony misconceptions?
« on: June 20, 2018, 02:29:43 PM »
I thought that Posey and Kiss Curl were the same pony for long enough.

I also thought that the Tales were relatively new because they were being rerun on the tv when i was a kid, it was only a few years ago that I found out they were made in the 90s.

I also thought that the year stamped on the ponies foot was the year they were made. It wasn't until my mum pointed out that some of the ponies that have 83/84 stamped on their feet weren't in stores when she was a collector that I realised it was the pose year.

What an amazing haul, you had some great luck! Only makes me more excited for PonyCon!

And seeing that MIB Sunnydaze brought back some memories for me, wow, I remember getting her from Toys'R'Us when I was around 4

Mine would probably be Quackers. But I didn't find her, my dad did, for 50p! Shes very well loved because I got her a good 10 years ago and I wasn't exactly the most careful child... Her symbols are perfect still though.
