Pony Brag Arena / Re: Just Re-found my Berry Bright!
« on: April 11, 2018, 01:34:21 PM »
I'm forever loosing ponies and then finding them in the weirdest places too! I once found two under the bath, one stuck behind a radiator, and my mum found two in the medicine cabinet (I really don't know). It's a great feeling to find them again though, right? I'm missing quite a few from my G3 hoard and I can't wait to find them in a decade

I finally had the courage to go into town alone today (I have social anxiety so its rare I actually leave the house)! I didn't get very far before I realised that my brain was automatically taking me to CEX. I always hide in there looking at games and movies while my parents are shopping. I'm glad I went in though because I found two My Little Pony Tales dvds and My Little Pony The Movie (the 1986 one) which I was really excited about because my copy is that well-loved it no longer plays. I also found the Harry Potter ps2 games that I was missing from my collection! The guy at the till gave me a weird look though. Just a teenager buying my little pony dvds...

Pony Corral / Re: Unpopular Pony Opinions

I have a few!

I really really don't like the G4 toys. I love the movie and the tv series, but the toys? I don't know, they just look too skinny, unrealistic and awkward especially to me, someone who grew up with the chunky, more horse-like ponies from G1 and G3.

I love green ponies, I think they're really underrated.

I love collecting the brushes and ribbons for ponies i do and don't have. People never seem to want the accessories, but to me ponies are worth more when they have their stuff?

I'm not too keen on the Big Brother ponies or the Mountain Boy ponies, I mean I'd buy them if I saw them at a carboot, but I wouldn't go out my way to bid on one.

I don't really like G2 for the same reason I don't like G4. I have a few of them, and my first ever ponies were G2, but again I don't go out my way to buy them.

I can't think of anymore at the moment..

Pony Corral / Flutter Ponies!

Hey!

I'm interested in knowing how much and how sought after flutter ponies with their original wings are? I recently managed to get my hands on a mint condition Morning Glory with her factory curls and wings in immaculate condition (they're not broken or damaged in any way and still flutter) for quite cheap. She also still has her original comb and ribbon!

I'm never planning to sell her but I'd love to know what shes really worth!

Wild Rasberry and Marlin, sadly I don't know the breed, I have just always heard the term broiler chicken, so I'm not sure.  She's just a white eating chicken, LOL!  I hope she dosen't explode.  My doctor did mention that, while trying to get her to walk again, that she was too top heavy because she's been so bred and pumped full food and things to get her to market.  He says hopefully with exercise and some weight loss she can move around better.
Well, it's 6:30am here, shortly I'll be heading down to the barn to see if she made it through the night.

She sounds like she could be a Ross Cobb chicken. They're really heavy and stocky and their legs are prone to giving way occasionally, but with some love they always come back around. We've had quite a few and its very hard to make them loose weight. They are naturally heavy and good doers, even if they haven't been bred for meat, they can get fat off air  I hope she makes it ok!

Hey! Good to see another UK collector on the forum. I’ve lived in Manchester for 10 years but I’m originally from South Yorkshire - my parents and sister live near Barnsley. Whereabouts are you from? Good luck in your A-Levels - not long to go now! I’m a Sixth Form teacher so I know how stressful this time of year is!!

Thank you and I'm from Thorne! Its a town just outside of Doncaster. And Thank you, I'm already stressed out about everything and I still have two months until my GCSE's and two years to my A-levels, haha I'm a huge stress head

Introductions / Hello from England!
« on: March 15, 2018, 01:54:36 PM »
Hi! I'm Madison and I've been a collector my entire life (literally). I actually received my first ponies before I was born, my mum was given them at her baby shower. The first pony I ever remember receiving was a Year One Kimono, who was and still is my favourite ever pony!

As well as my plastic ponies, I have three big fur babies! Their names are Sadie (a 15.2hh, 24 y/o, bay OTTB who is absolutely mental), Kasper (a 12.2hh, 7 y/o, appaloosa Shetland x Cob who's body is wayyyy too big for his legs) and Bee (a 15.1hh, 3 y/o piebald Percheron x Cob who is a really just a big baby and the one in my picture!)

Personal:

How old are you? I'm 16!

Where do you live? State, Country? I actually live in South Yorkshire, England!

Do you work or attend school? Profession or major? I'm in my final year of high school! In September I'm off to college to sit my A-Levels and then I'm going to study Equine Veterinary! I am also a volunteer at my local riding school where my mother also works as the head riding instructor. I work in exchange for rides on a Sunday.

Who are the important people in your life? My parents definitely. My brother is there somewhere (he's not that bad, sometimes). Also my animals, they count right?

Ponies:

How long have you been collecting? All my life, so nearly 17 years.

Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4? I mainly collect G1 and G3. I have a few G2's and G4's though!

What made you want to collect ponies? Well my parents started collecting ponies for me and seeing as I have my own ponies and have been riding since before I could walk, I have naturally collected them over the years.

Tell us about your collection! I have 431 ponies in total! I have 8 G4 ponies, 11 G2 Ponies, 367 G3/G3.5 ponies, and 45 G1's! I stopped collecting ponies for a while a few years back but jumped back into the collecting world head first back in November!

I don't really know what else to say, apart from the fact that I'm a really awkward and not at all helpful person, haha!
