My apologies if this would be more appropriate in the sales thread.
I’m actively buying again for the first time in a long while and I’m curious if there are other good places to check besides eBay and Etsy. Certainly you can find what you want both places but the inflation seems pretty bad right now. Thought I’d look for some alternatives.
Friend of mine suggested Mercari. Anywhere else you like to haunt?

Mercari and eBay (and here!) are the places I check most often. I see every thread posted every day here, so I guess I have the most visibility there, then eBay, then Mercari (usually if I'm bored at work or something). Some people buy and sell on Facebook now.
Prices have been inflated for a good amount of months now due to an influx of collectors during the pandemic. I still find thrift stores to be my favorite place to source G3 (although it is mostly core 7 and G3.5 at this point).

I hadn’t considered COVID but now that makes sense. I need to remember to check here more often.

I mostly look on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and here. I look here for specific ponies, I look on the other places for "lots." eBay seems kind of pricey lately. FB Marketplace is extremely hit-or-miss.
I have had poor luck with thrift stores, but middling luck with flea markets.
