Popular Ponies You Just Don't Care as Much For

All of the Core 7 for me.  They aren't even that popular; just in Hasbro's bubble.   I used to love Pinkie Pie when I first got her toy and saw her in A Charming Birthday, but then they spammed her.  Same for Rainbow Dash.  And Skywishes (I do want the G4 one, though).  That computer game that had Sparkleberry Swirl with it left a very bad taste in my mouth for Twinkle Twirl...

I guess I'm kind of "meh" over Mimic too.  If I saw one for really cheap and in good condition, I'd swipe her up in a heartbeat and hang on to her because I have an obsession with rare things, but design-wise, she doesn't appeal to me much.  Same for Rapunzel...

Those background ponies from the FiM show that appear for like a scene at most, yet have a huge fanbase since folks build up all sorts of more or less silly background stories/fanon. Same for Trixie, but she had atleast an entire episode.
Not that I dislike the ponies themselves, but what comes with them.

Despite actually really liking her in the cartoon, I still don't like Pinkie Pie toys. I remember her being generally hated through G3 because we were all so bored of her, and sadly the personality overhaul hasn't changed the fact that she's boringly monochrome.
I'm also not a huge fan of rapunzel. Much as I love pink, that particular shade is a bit yuck to me

Alot of the "fanbase" characters, I don't get why people obsess about ponies that are seen very briefly or are just random mashed together background ponies.
I do want to see toys of the ones that do occur alot though (the one with candy cutiemark etc)
And also G3 Pinkie Pie, I don't like the colorscheme as a whole with the pale pink hair :/

G4 Twilight Sparkle, I absolutely detest her personality. She irritates me quite a lot.

I don't like the piggy ponies (they look odd to me), any of the G2s, Mimic (I honestly can't understand what the fuss is about her. She's just average.) and G1 Bluebell.

Contrary to most on here though, I *adore* Pinkie ..  more Pinkies for me then!

Expensive ponies. You know the ones that you can't afford and think they're really expensive for what is essentially a lump of plastic? Mimic, Ice Crystal, Tux, Rapunzel etc.


But every time I acquire one (for a good price, I hasten to add!) I totally understand the hype about that pony. So now, I'm not going to say that I don't like a pony until I've held one in my hands.

*Also never saw the appeal of the Baby Brothers.

Sweetscoops - I personally think she's so boring for a pony and her price is high.

I actually love her! Her colour is fab, and I tend to go for ponies with sweet/food symbols.


Edit to add: I can't believe I forgot my absolutely least favourite pony of all time, Princess Sparkle (earth), she is just so horrendous, with her pink glittery body, tinsel, fiber optics and garish accessories. I'm sorry if I offend anyone here, I just think everything about this pony is awful!

I'm not too fond of Nirvana ponies, they cost quite a lot and a few of them have pretty terrible colour combinations d:
Some of them are cool though, but I probably won't not be getting any anytime soon.

I don't really have a particular pony I dislike but ponies with tinsel/pink are not that appealing to me.
Design wise, I'd say 3.5 don't appeal to me at all. I can't understand the 'cute' or playful they are supposed to be, they just scare me. So a tinseled pink G3.5 would be my most disliked pony. lol

The princess ponies and Rapunzel...I don't have a problem at all with tinsel, but I find the princess ponies kind of boring because they don't have real symbols or even interesting ones, and honestly...I think Rapunzel's one of the least appealing ponies I've ever seen, even after seeing one in person. I'm surprised so many others here seem to not like her either!

That said, though, I can see why other people like those...they all are very different from the other ponies, and stand out as something special and unique. They're just not my thing at all.

Well, i really don't like G4 and not because of the fanbase or anything like that, I just don't like the style of toys. I even got one that I thought had a cute design but it still didn't help

as for G1s, I don't get the hype around Mimic and Red Roses. They are cool, don't get me wrong, but I´d never pay that much for them. also Firefly, I guess, cos she seems to be somewhat popular. I have never seen any G1 cartoons (I got into G1 through toys as a kid) so I´m entirely judging her through the toy I like her in the shy pose though ^^

Another Rapunzel non-fan.  I don't dislike her, but she's just not for me.  Also the G1 princesses.  I just don't like the symbols.

There's not so many ponies I outright dislike.  From G4, I just don't like Fluttershy.  Her color scheme is so ... blah.  There's other show-related reasons I don't like her, but we're talking about the toys.
