Pony Corral / Re: Would you name your kid after a pony?
« on: May 25, 2014, 01:13:47 PM »
Cadence/Cadance is actually a real name too.  I heard it long before FIM and I've always liked it. Of course I have a fondness for most musical based names, except ironically Melody and Harmony. I really like Aria, Allegra (although the medication has ruined it a bit), Cadenza, Calliope...but Cadence was always my favorite.

I've heard a story, that someone very important in Hasbro has daughter, whose name is Cadance, and they named a pony after her. I don't know if it's true, but I think, it's a right direction: try to get a pony named after your daughter, not the other way around :)

Why don't you name her Jenny after Macau Jenny. Then she would have normal name (and won't be ridiculed at school) and you still could call it a pony name.

Pony Corral / Re: Need help with sunfading from other European ponies
« on: April 10, 2014, 12:05:17 PM »
My guess is that it's UV radiation, that does the job, and this is strongest during summer and around midday times. Also it's strongest around the equator, so in countries furhter towards north (Poland^^) you might be less lucky.
Anyway I never sunfaded any pony myself, so i'm speaking theoretically, but... if you substract all the magic and voodoo stuff, you just want to do it when, and where the sun radiation is strongest :)

Trade for a rainbow curl pony, not a fan of Twinkle Eyes.

Glimmer Wings Fluttershy, mint?

Anyway, more-or-less, how many different ponies are there across the generations? This would tell us how big it is possible to get.

I for one am pretty sure, that my collection is the biggest on my street, because it's the only one - big fish in small pond, ya know^^

I would vote for the white one with pink hair, but I have no idea, what's her name^^

Baby Ribbons n' Hearts?

When I come back home from work, open the door and I see the little herd staring at me from their shelves, it's just so surreal and funny, that it immediately makes me feel good.
Also, the joy of unpacking a new pony, styling it's mane and adding it to the herd, it's like having Christmas every few weeks. And it is an outlet for the girly-girl inside of me... oh wait XD
And there's also the show, from which it started for me (at least when it comes to ponies in my grown-up life). The show is very well made and funny, but it's mainly about the characters, to which I got kinda attached over those years, and I'm looking forward to see their new adventures. All the "girls" from the Mane 6 are quite believable in their behavior, over long time you can even see them evolving a bit, and well, what's not to like about them?

Blindbag Fluttershy... I'm doomed. On the other hand, this pony did so many strange things to me (in similar forum threads) that it's not even funny :P

I made my own lightbox from a cardboard box and printer paper. Printer paper plays role of light-dispersing "windows", though it doesn't let much light pass through, so I need to put the lamps really close... but well, at least it was cheap, and works good enough.

Anyway those are I think, the best pony photos that I made (If you seen them before on some google+ profile, yes, that's my fake profile  )

Pony Corral / Re: Why exactly are pony tails fizzy?
« on: February 13, 2014, 10:51:25 AM »
Some months ago I got a Pinkie Pie and Wysteria from the boutique series, and both of them had so bad tails, that if I had bought them on Ebay (which I didn't), and if I didn't unbox them myself, I would totally leave a negative comment for the seller, as it was my first contact with those bad tails. But yes it's hasbro fault. More or less every second pony now has this problem. And  what Hasbro managers are thinking, is probably "no worries, they will be buying the ponies anyway".

BTW thanks for the oil tip, this forum is so awesome^^

Actually I did.
Once I ordered a custom plushie, that I couldn't really afford at that time, and till next payday I had to eat paint from the walls. So I sacrificed comofort of my life :P No, really I had to be really creative in transfering money between credit and debit card to avoid those pesky phone calls from the bank ><
