Title: Help ID This Breyer
Post by: True on February 24, 2018, 03:55:48 PM
Sorry about the bad pics, I just took a few quick ones to show a friend, (it looks just like his horse!)
And as I was cleaning it I noticed a Breyer stamp.

Hes kinda a almost pearly finish to him?
I don't really know much about Breyer aside from admiring them as a child but never having enough money to collect them lol. I found this one at Goodwill, and honestly only picked it up because it looked just like my friends real horse, didn't noticed the breyer mark until later.

(he didnt come with the halter, i was just seeing if it fit xD)

Thank you! I guess I should have asked "are they terribly htf?" I was planning on doing some slight modifications to him, as a gift for my friend, but I don't want to customize something that is rare.

I don’t see one on eBay at the moment, and I don’t collect that line, so I’m not that sure of their rarity. Hopefully an expert can help out :)

Here is a link to the identify your breyers website. Specifically for the dapples/pony line.

Looks a bit like Robin, but the color on his legs is off.

It could be!? I'm kinda thinking it might actually be that same horse? Mine is a bit more yellow, but that could just be due to fading possibly? I know literally nothing about Breyer and how they age. He is also riddled with paint rubs especially on his legs and back, so I think that might be why the markings don't exactly match up.

Here is another site.

If you go to the 2002 page you'll see the set Robin came in. He has a golden coating on him. What throws me is the gray on his legs. On the other hand, there seems to be no other white-gray stallion on that pose. The. 7035 pose is too dark.

For the record yes, they're very difficult to find. Especially since Breyer gave both lines such generic names that screw with searches and most of them have no actual names.

I've tried in vain to grab Blueberry, Berry, the black appy, Raven, Oatmeal Cream, Flicka, the first red roan and Dustin to no avail.
