Favorite pre-G4 pony shippings?

G4 ones are nice of course but specifically, does anyone else ship G1, G2 or G3 ponies?

I know I do! I like to ship ponies that are either seen around each other a lot or have a common theme.

For example, Medley and Firefly are always together right? Boom. Girlfriends.
Glory and Moondancer actually had a porcelain figure of them getting married so that one's too easy. (Here it is!)
In the G2 game Friendship Gardens, Light Heart and Sweetberry live in the same house.

In G3, Star Catcher and Skywishes are becoming popular! ♥
 
For themes, it's easy to ship Quackers and Sprinkles because they are both duck themed.
You can also ship Fizzy and Lickety Split for this reason, because ice cream ponies!

Sometimes I like to fill in gaps in a generation's canon with ships.
For example, have you ever wondered why Baby Sweet Tooth is a unicorn, while her mom is an earth pony?

Well, I think it's because Sugar Sweet and Sweet Tooth are her biological moms!

I could go on lol. But I wanna hear what you guys have! What are some of your favorite pre-G4 pairings, if any?

I ship my ponies all the time! Haha.
I tend to ship ponies with complimentary colours rather than matching.. (Tuxie dating Bowtie for example would feel wayy too close to family on family )

Tornado with Mimic (This one happened because I traded my extra Mimic fir a Tornado... So they've always been kinda connected in my mind)
Uk Wind Whistler with Gypsy
And Quarterback and Wiggy!

Everyone else in ponyland is single.. Sad right?
Now that you got me thinking on this subject again I'm sure that'll change though!

And do custom ponies count? even though I don't think Twilight Pink likes/loves anybody...  she's usually forced to be with stallions she doesn't like..

Well... I ship Cute Curtsey and Island Delight, no real reason, I just like how they look together. They even have a baby, who has no name yet.
OBVS i ship Starcatcher and Skywishes, I mean its pretty dang canon.
Its kinda strange, but I also like Sparkleworks and Minty, I saw them nuzzling and then I was like...Yep. GFs.
Silly Sunshine and Flower Garland have been eyeing each other up lately as well, (I think Twilight Pink is trying to set them up, shhh)
But honestly this is probably just the tip of the iceberg. I really do think that i could sit here all night and tell you guys about my lesbian pony dreams lol.

That gif, and the following picture I capped, is the reason I believe that Moondancer and Glory have an open marriage!
(Cotton Candy and Applejack sometimes have fun platonic cuddles with Glory and Moondancer is totally cool with it. ♥)
