These are absolutely wonderful, I love Merry Anvil's design! I also like your unique shading style tailrustedleaf mentioned.

Looking forward seeing more of your work!

Thank you so much! <3 I really appreciate the kind words! I'm adding more recent art right after this reply!

Pony Brag Arena / Herd newbies! [Image Heavy]

This week has been extremely eventful for my herd. Firstly, I got two nice G4s, Coloratura and Sapphire Joy!

These two lovelies are gorgeous, but then I got lucky on a $10 shopgoodwill pony lot and a trip to the local antique store. Here are my finds from those!

First up, the G1s:

L to R: Confetti, CF Snuzzle, Masquerade, Powder
Confetti and Snuzzle are in great condition, especially Snuzzle since she has 0 marks and her colors are pretty bright! I think Snuzzle's tail might have been cut, but if it was it was a pretty clean cut so it's barely noticeable. Masquerade is sadly missing her tail but I'm sure can get her a new one, and aside from a few marks, she's otherwise in pretty good condition with no scratches on her eyes that I can see. Powder is pretty much bait quality but I don't have her yet so I don't mind.

L to R: Shaggy, Medley Eraser
When I visited the local antique store yesterday, I found a few $5 bags of ponies. Mostly G3 McDonalds ponies, but this one bag had a baby Shaggy and an awesome Medley eraser that I couldn't pass up! Shaggy's only real big flaw is some rubbed blush on one cheek but that's easily fixable. The eraser is discolored but otherwise nice, and it was so neat, I've never found one in all of my pony collecting days so I couldn't leave these behind. Plus Shaggy is precious.

Next we have the G3s and G3.5:

L to R: G3.5 McDonald's Cheerilee, Tea Lily, Royalette, Tumbletop, random crown accessory.
Cheerilee and Tumbletop are in great condition with no real flaws. Tea Lily is absolutely adorable, and aside from her hair being a little on the frizzy side, she's in great condition. Royalette has some ingrained dirt and marker stains and her hair's kinda frizzy as well, but she's still cute.

L to R: McDonald's 2008 Minty, 2005 Daisyjo, 2008 Cheerilee, 2008 Scootaloo, 2005 Star Swirl
Bottom pic, L to R: 2005 Butterscotch, 2008 Toola-Roola
They're all in fair condition with a few scratches here and there and some have frizz. The bottom two I got in the same bag with Shaggy and the Medley eraser.

Next we have the G4s:

L to R: Pinkie Pie (Rainbow Power), 2014 Rainbow Dash (Bagged Brushable), Apple Bloom
They are all in really great condition aside from Pinkie whose tail is probably the frizziest I've ever seen, oh my goodness. It's kind of ironic that her mane, with all that tinsel, is perfectly fine, but her tail isn't.

McDonald's G4s
L to R: 2011 Applejack, 2014 Princess Celestia, 2014 Fluttershy, 2014 Pinkie Pie, 2012 Applejack
They're all in okay condition; all of them have frizzy hair and some scratches/rubs. 2012 Keychain Applejack is missing her little clip.

Blind Bags
Back row, L to R: Wave 9 Peachy Sweet, Wave 9 (?) Applejack, Wave 7 Lily Valley, Wave 8 Golden Harvest, Wave 8 Pinkie Pie, Wave 12 Pinkie Pie, Wave 9 Shoeshine, Zecora (Spa Pony Set)
Middle Row, L to R: Wave 7 Fluttershy, Wave 9 Tropical Storm, Wave 7 Apple Stars, Wave 10 Junebug, Wave 8 Rarity, Wave 8 Lemon Hearts, Dr. Whooves (Rainbow Pony Favorite Set)
Front Row, L to R: Wave 8 Mosely Orange, Wave 14 Twilight Sky, Wave 8 Royal Riff

These are all pretty nice! A few of them have rubs but otherwise are great. I was super happy to get the four male ponies <3

That's all I have for now! I might have another lot incoming, we'll see ^u^

Great job! Apple Splits pose is so cute, I didn't know he existed but I can definitely see why you like him :) And your ponysona is beautiful, and her design is awesome! Plus your vampire pony is cool :)

Ahh thank you so much! Yeah I believe he was only in one episode. I have a tendency to get attached to background characters, hehe. So much potential! Thank you!

I love your shading! Your highlights make everything look like a plush doll, I love it. Merry Anvil has a wonderful color scheme!

Oh my goodness thank you so much, I actually did start using that highlight style with the intention of making it look toy-like, so I'm so happy you noticed! Thank you <3

Welcome to the Arena! I would love to see your drawings, whether it be pony or not :) You can post them in the Arts and Crafts corral if you would like! Ooh, and being a blacksmith sounds awesome :) Glad you joined, I look forward to seeing you around!

Thank you so much! I've made a thread over there, hopefully I'll have more new works to share soon! It's really awesome, I love it <3

Welcome to the arena! :)

Thanks!  ^.^

Welcome to the arena! Being a blacksmith sounds interesting, it's not often that I hear about those entering a trade!

Thank you! It's certainly a neat job, and something I get to do at home so that's always nice. Plus it's such a vast field with so many possibilities! I'm lucky enough to have a great blacksmith community in my state too.

||Dakota's Arts & Crafts||

I figured, why not make a thread to show off my art? Art has always been a favorite relaxing hobby for me so I do it a lot, and ponies were one of my first art subjects! I do a lot of different arts and crafts, from digital and traditional art to custom ponies, plushies, and sculptures! So keep an eye out, I'll be updating this as I create more things.

||Digital Art||

NEW 3/2/2018! A character design I sold on deviantART named Starkissed Satin.

NEW 3/2/2018! A pic of one of my characters. He's a design I adopted from BeBopSparkles. This interesting closed species was created by Pomihei on deviantart, and they're called Space Cotton Mouths.

NEW 3/2/2018! A request freebie for someone on the Equestria Amino of their bat pony boy, Frost Note

There's this little minor character in FiM named Apple Split and I adore him, so I did a little fanart of him.

Next up we have my ponysona, Merry Anvil! She's blacksmith/sword-themed since I'm a blacksmith IRL and I love swords.

Here we have a sketchy little experimental headshot of my vampire pony, Nightlore.

And lastly, a two year old piece that is currently the only fullbody ref pic I have of Nightlore. I'm working on a redraw of it since I've improved a whole bunch since I drew this.

That's all for now! Check back soon for more <3

Hi all! I'm a gal from Oklahoma who's been collecting and drawing MLPs for a little over 15 yrs now <3 Irl, I'm a blacksmith who owns two real horses, a gelding named Ringo and a rescued mare named Dusty.

Personal:

How old are you? I am 20 years old.

Where do you live? State, Country? I live in Oklahoma, USA.

Do you work or attend school? Profession or major? I was homeschooled almost my entire life, and currently looking into attending a trade school for my welding certification. However, I am a blacksmith as my main profession.

Who are the important people in your life? My family <3 Specifically, my mother, stepfather, and little sister.

Ponies:

How long have you been collecting? A little over 15 years now! I started when I was 5 years old.

Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4? I collect all of them, but I mainly focus on G1, G2, and G3.

What made you want to collect ponies? I got into ponies when I was in kindergarten because some other little girls had them. Being both a horse-crazy child and an artist from a young age, colorful ponies were an obvious choice! And I still haven't outgrown them.

Tell us about your collection! Sadly my family went through a financial crisis a few years back and had to move, so I downsized my collection to help out. But I still have a pretty nice little group of ponies! Some highlights of my collection are Rosey Posey (whom I found in a thrift store in mint condition with her hair still in its original packaging), my nearly mint Dancing Butterflies and Baby Dancing Butterflies, Love Wishes (who I actually received through the points program while it was active), and of course my two beloved boy ponies, Steamer and Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations. I have a goal to collect all the male ponies that I can, from G1 all the way to the current G4 ponies. I currently have two shelves full of ponies with more on the way!
