Though, I am wondering whether there should be a limit on what kinds of ponies used. Should it just be limited to basic ponies, or should special molds like Gilda be allowed? What about boys?

I'm thinking it should be up to the discresion of the person who is making the pony. Maybe a limit of 1 special mold/boy pony request per person

I hope so! I can't host anything right now though, as I'm in three swaps, and, anyway, I still have a month before I've been an Arena member for a year. So, if I'm hosting this, it wouldn't be for a while. (I'm always up for a private swap, though...LOL.)

Alrighty :) I'm just checking in to see if this is a go. I am still in need of customizing tools like hair hanks, paints, and a rerooting tool.

I agree with this. Gilda would take a ton of sculpting and boy baits are expensive.

I would LOVE to do this one if it happens after my current swaps end. I think April/May would be great.

though if i were to get a boy i think it would be fun to see it interpreted as a g4.

There are different ways to handle it. One of the easiest ways to turn a girl into a boy is by adding a little bit of clay to the muzzle for a more rounded look. I made two ponies like that, but I know that not everyone likes the way that looks... ^^;

The thing I'm looking forward to about this is having some new colour combinations into my collection (my collection is drowning in pink right now ^^;)

I'd love to be in this swap! I just finished my first G4 custom, and I reaaly like doing them!
One of my bigs worries was to make a boy using a girls base. But some people told me it was more in attitude then in shape... and really I think my persona (he is a boy) turned out great... and manlier...
Wel, this swap sounds wonderful for me! And would be the only one I really like to join by now!
Here in Brasil we do not have blind bags... but I think the databass would fit this hole perfectly!

Also another question... will be partiners decided by skill or just handom?!

This will most likely be a skill-based swap. :)

I'm sure you will. :) I still have to decide what the requisites are... Once I'm cleared from some of my current swaps, and after I've hit my anniversary, I'll try to get this approved.

While we are on the subject, I was curious about if everyone has though about their top 5 Blind Bags they want to see in their own collection?

Here's my list (Images from Strawberryreef.com)
Spoiler
5. Forsythia (her colouring is just so pretty. It's a colour-combination I don't have yet)

4. Cherry Spices (Definite Colour change, no brown ponies have ever been released in G4.... Yet)

3. Rainbow Swirl (Super pretty colours!)

2. Golden Delicious (pretty green shade :D)

1. Minty (I've loved the minty colour-scheme since G3's take on Minty. I especially loved the colouring when I saw the prototype (sad it didn't get released))
