How to qualify: two or more finished customs and at least
three feedbacks. Ebay/MLPTradingPost feedbacks can be used

RULES

2. You must provide pictures for at least two customs to determine your level. If you intend to sculpt anything in this swap, please include pictures of sculpting.
3. You must have been an arena member for at least three months before sign ups are over.
4. No shipping early or shipping late! If you realize you can't ship on the given time let me know as soon as possible. Addresses will be given once the last check in is done and your partner is ready too.
5. Progress pics are needed and I need to see your all done custom before you send it out.
6. Let NO ONE know who your partner is. It must remain a secret.
7. Let me know when you ship and receive.
8. This swap will include all generations of ponies and Dr. Who. If you don't want some pony generation let us know in your swap form. No using fakies unless you're asked to do so!
9. You must not be in more than two other swaps, making a total of three with this one.
10. Keep your shipping receipt until your partner receives their pony! You must be able to provide proof you have shipped.

Hehee, I thought it would be good to have lots of time as Christmas will be during the working time and that may eat up lots of time from people ^^ Also there may be lots of sculpting to do and perhaps some people have to take several tries on their pony to get it right (I know I have this problem ahead of me, I can't sculpt clothes for the life of me!).

Oops, I had written that the first check-in would be on December 31st. It was supposed to be November 31st :blush: It's fixed now.
Alatariel-Silimaure, I haven't thought about slots :blink: 27 people liked the idea of this swap in the poll so I don't think slots are needed, most likely we'll stay under 30 anyway :)

Yay another participant, welcome to the swap d13tp3ps1!
Soon is time for my trip to France so I will be away from my computer for a week or so then, starting on Wednesday 3rd. You can of course send your forms during that time but I won't be able to respond to them and possible questions :)

The main problem behind possible mistakes is my father who is hospitalized and because of this I have been severely stressed out for couple of weeks. Plus this is my first time hosting a swap :blush:

1. It doesn't matter to me. It can be a Hasbro pony made to look like the TARDIS or my pony Toadstool Treasure dressing up as one. :)

I have no preference, I think both can look amazing :D I would love to see G1 Nightglider in a Whovian theme.

I have a feeling that Doctor Donna would be perfect in G3 diva pose :blush: Other than that I give totally free hands on the poses, I think even G3 core pose could look good if done correctly.

kinda fuzzy on this one, not sure if mine would fall under a themed pony. so... whatever floats your boat!

only one of mine had a pose i kinda had in mind and i put a note on it already. no real idea for the others really, so whatever works best for you (tho not too fond of 'flat' poses, ie. CP, moondancer/glory/medley poses. i like a lil attitude to them like northstar and fizzy etc)

Uh never thought about it - to be honest but what Uninu said - a Tropical Sea Breeze with space & tardis theme sounds nice :D

I really luv the G3 "Sweet Sparkle" pose - dunno what that pose normally called.
For The G4 (don't care as long it's no light up pony lol)

Eluluu - sorry if I didn't explain fully on the theme it would be like if you chose things like Time Vortex (like I did) or say like the or Tardis spirit or Crack in the wall which was a recurring theme throughout the season, or umm... you know, any of those recurring themes like that

hmm... id say something galaxy-ish would be cool for soemthing like that, tho it can be a bit complicated. i adore nebula and star paintjobs and think thatd be an awesome background for something like that, but i realize thats a tall order. so.. whatever my partner feels up for is fine by me. =]

I don't think I picked anything theme-like, but if I did then I'd prefer an original pony over Hasbro.

like for the doctor I'd stick with earth pony, if it was something more magical like the tardis I'd go for unicorn... really just depends :3

I would prefer earth pony for the Doctor and companions, a unipeg for the TARDIS, and like a pegasus for something like the Weeping Angels.

With you on that. Hear is whats in my Doctor Who pony collection so far-
Doctors- 3rd -earth, 4th -earth, 5th -earth, 10th -earth, 11th -earth,
Companions- Jack-earth with furry feet, Susan -unicorn, Donna Noble -earth, Amy -uni, Rori -peg, Rani -earth
Villains- Davros -earth, Weeping Angel -peg, Master-earth, Cyberman -earth
Other- Tardis -alicorn
Its been a little earth heavy~ but I think I would do all the Doctors/time lords as earth- and most of the companions as peg/uni because there special for humans XD

Sculpted hair can be very cool and beautiful, but I prefer brushable hair. Glorious, lush brushable hair ^.^ Other sculpting is fine.

Well, whoever has my name, don't care what techniques you employ, just do your best;) I will love it. Personally, I suck at styling hair on a pony. My hands shake too much. Just please don't glue yarn to the pony's head and shove some pins in there. One of the best ideas for a custom I ever received had that, but I was a little dissapointed even though I loved it to bits.

My design didn't call for hair at all but since I find hairless ponies a little sad, I'm tweaking this design a little. In my head, it looks pretty cool, now will I make it into a cool pony? Only time will tell :p

Ended up ordering from Retrodolls UK instead of Dollyhair for couple of reasons, mainly because I am hoping that it would arrive sooner than Dollyhair :) I ended up buying nine hanks of hair when I needed four at most :lol:

does anyone by any chance have any uncut Lemon Drop? i only need half a hank and miiight be able to squeak by with a quarter, but it needs to be full length. i was getting ready to put the tail on my extra last night and much to my dismay saw that i have 3 packs of Golden Delicious and no Lemon Drop (which is already in the mane, so i cant just flub the color) i said a few choice words when i saaw that cause it either means i was sent the wrong color or my fool self ordered the wrong one and didnt notice til now. =[ no way i can reorder and it get here on time =[

finally found someone with some. so yay crisis (hopefully) averted.
so far with the actual custom progress is going well. im hoping to have the paintwork done in the next few days, then a day for hair, a day to let the glue set, then style and trim. so if nothing tragic happens i should have it done by the mystery deadline *bites nails*
when exactly do we have til? im waiting on that hair im getting from someone and frantically painting while i wait. pretty sure the info post just says 'early feb'

yeah the old man (my cat) only likes to sniff them and occasionally knock them over to lay on, but the fatcat homes in and chews. he gets a 'get out of death free card' cause hes a cat, but if he makes a move on it again hes gettin a spanking and timeout in the bathroom for a while.

5 needles, 6 hours to rehair one bloody head. I was not impressed. This custom has gone wrong at every frikking turn *sighs* I hope to have it finished tomorrow to get it shipped on time. Not my best, but I really tried... just kept giving me hell. :\

Been helping my mom readjust to life at home after a month in the hospital:/ Already asked in advance for an extension which was granted, so sorry for holding up the works. Okay, there was a small problem (okay a huge) with the way I gave the partners. Somehow I managed to give out one person twice :shocked: :cry:
So one person will be receiving two packages because of this one one custom will be missing. No worries though, I will make things right and will make the missing custom and will ship on time even if it kills me.
So sorry everyone, this swap hasn't really gone as planned on my behalf. :sad: It has been a huge learning experience but I worry that there will be people that are not pleased with how things have been done - and I can't blame them. Sorry.

spacepony "Void Dancer" is done with 4 reference photos of different galaxies, nebulas, and a black hole, a LOT of wetblending and paint washes, about 78 cups of coffee, and a careful blend of 8 colors =P Sour Grapes (dark purple), Wisteria (lavendar), Fairys Breath (pink), Lemon Drop (yellow), Bluebell (medium blue), Water Nixie (light blue), Arctic Frost (whiteblue), Snowflake (white)
and a few pics of Moonstone while im at it. (i forum stalked my partner and found out they have multiple varient armies... i saw the moonstone one was a little smaller than the others so i decided to do that one (and cause im kinda partial to Moonie anyways =P)

Oh my! Who was my partner? I got an absolutely awesome box and 2 ponies but they're not signed and there was no card so please speak up!
I'll post pics tomorrow but seems like my partner knew I love green as I got an all green pony with a sonic screwdriver symbol and a very creative pocket watch pony with clock needles, ring and chain included and a hint of green in her hair!
I also got a green glass beads bracelet :3
I feel so spoiled! Please let me know who you are and I'll post pics tomorrow!

I thought I put a card in there, though, right on top. I'm so sorry if it didn't make it in. I did forget to sign them. I'm really bad for that. *blush*
You can learn a lot about someone here in the arena *mwhahahahahaha* so yes, I saw that you love green. The green pony was actually meant to make up for the lack of other extras that I didn't get finished in time, but I ended up liking her more than the pocket watch one. She was hard to let go of!
Your box didn't end up being as Whovian as I had hoped and planned, but I'm so glad you like it! I had a blast making those ponies and thoroughly enjoyed my very first swap!

I still don't know who made my pony, so I haven't left feedback yet. And now I'm worried that my pony hasn't arrived yet, since it should have been there a while ago. It does have tracking, so I'm going to check that once I get home (I'm in Seattle right now, so I won't be home until Thursday).

yay i got my pony today! but... the mailman wasnt too nice to her, she didnt handle shipping too well. :cry: :huh: :(
i was sitting at my desk reading and heard the P.O. truck pull up outside, didnt look up from my book so i didnt see them do it, but i heard a THUD on the deck WITHOUT hearing the gate open first! so i go out and sure enough theres a package for me on the deck, upside down... i pick it up and hear it rattleing and immediately thought 'oh god no...'
take it inside and sure enough, its my swap pony and goodies and an awesome but sadly very broken coffee thermos (haha i guess my addiction isnt much of a secret :coffee:)
im eating some of the candy now and glareing out the window thinking bad thoughts about whichever delivery guy this was, petting my mini ood (hes SO cute!)
anyways, heres a few pics i snapped just now. the lighting in here is pretty terrible, so post better ones if you have them Ala! =]

the Crack in the Wall =D the note says her stars and stuff glow in the dark, ill have to test that in a bit =]

and her after you hit the little button and make her eyes glow! =] her head is removable so i can change her batteries

and the other side... it looks as if all of the stars on this side have completely rubbed off, i can kinda make out the raised bits where the paint should be so ill go thru and touch them up later if i have Ala's blessing. the other side just has a few minor rubs here and there, dunno why this side in particular suffered so much more. :(
shes really cute and fun hun its just a shame that she and the box were so roughed up.. so sad :sad:

actually the star fade out was intentional >.> no rubs. I was kinda trying to go for the effect that the crack was creating the silence... and the stars were bright around it, but it was slowly fading away the universe, because it was making things not exist anymore... so the one side has nothing, and I used glow in the dark paint right on top of the black so that you could only see the stars when it was glowing in the dark on that one side.
I hope that clears it up @_@, sorry my theory wasn't the greatest on it, but yeah that's what I was going for.
I'm sad to hear the thermos cracked :( stupid mail man >:I I would throw snow at him if he was here -.-

oooh so it glows UNDER the black? thats kinda wicked cool. ill have to check it out! =] i was just worried that maybe it had rubbed off from all the shaking and rough handling. thanks a lot hun!
i wasnt sure if the string was supposed to be attached to the tentacles or the hand so i just left it as is. now that i know where its supposed to go ill reglue it =]
im tempted to put the Crack pony in a random dark corner of the front room, like behind the nintendo or something, and switch the eyes on and scare the bejeezus out of the inlaw in the middle of the night =P

it glows over top of the black, I painted the glow in the dark paint right on top of the black paint on the faded side, that's why it doesn't actually show up, all the ones that are white have a layer of white paint, with glow in the dark paint over top hehe :3
You'll probably be able to see where the string broke off on the ood if you look close :3
and bahahah!!! freaking out the inlaws would be great >.>

I came home today to a beautiful Donna pony! Unfortunately, my mom unpacked her and threw out the box, so I'm not sure who sent her. She's absolutely beautiful though!

Oh man i am a recent add to the Doctor Who fandom but i'm really really enjoying it and so when i discover this swap i flipped. The ponys that have been posted are AMAZING! Love loved the tardis in space pony and the detail on that pony with the Doctor and his scarf hanging out of the tardis....dropped my jaw.
I am now a silent stalker on this thread!
