Hello! I'm so so so excited to get my hands on some of the Celestials, but I absolutely do not want to support Amazon if I can help it. In the past we've had some very helpful lists of small toy stores with both web and brick & mortar presences for the Basic Fun releases - thought I'd get the ball rolling on that now. Apologies if this has already been done! I scanned a few other threads but couldn't find a consolidated spot dedicated to this. Please post if you've found the Celestials at your local toy store! All locations welcome

So I live in a pretty dry place (SoCal) and my collection here is stored in a cabinet with UV light protected windows. But I've definitely noticed that new additions that come to me with minty soft straight hair (a Star Dancer, for e.g.) have been growing more brittle than I'd like. Obviously these toys are pushing 30 years old, but if I can receive them in pristine condition there must be a way to preserve that without locking them in a dark moisture controlled box.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I feel like the solution is probably something on the pricier side...

The episode is 1x06, Saints, which aired a few weeks ago - but I didn't see any posts on it & I'm only just catching up  As a gothic horror the show's tone couldn't be further from MLP but for an early 80s flashback it makes a lot of sense & emphasizes the initial innocence of the character, Lottie. An amazing show if you can stomach the creepiness!

I always assumed all the non-Nirvana Rockin Beat ponies had crimped hair MOC, but I recently noticed it’s actually only Sweet Notes (based on a few wiki images) - can anyone confirm?

Hi! Hope this is allowed - I pulled a screenshot off an already bought eBay listing because I saw these accessories lumped in with some G1 baby pony stuff and they struck a chord in me. They are SUPER familiar but I can't place them - at first I thought Enchanted Kingdom or Fashion Star Fillies but I don't think thy are. Hmmmm... I wanted to take a poll here and see what people think is the right thing to do in this weird circumstance I find myself in - I'm not sure just yet how I want to proceed. A buyer won a pony out of my eBay auctions this morning after a (very medium sized, but still) bidding war. They paid already, which is great!
Not great: they just messaged me to say that actually they have this pony already, so they want me to cancel the order. My first reaction is to refuse as this isn't exactly my problem and there's no guarantee the auction would go the same way if I relist the item, but is this jerky of me? Acts of grace just aren't really the way eBay works. What would you do in my place?

Hi everyone,
I have a half-deflocked SS Twilight who has some abrasions on her body that I'm looking to repair using epoxie sculpt, but the more guides I look through, the more confused I get. I'm not sure what brand to use, whether to buy pre-coloured or paint myself to match -- and I can't seem to see any quick and dirty solutions here. Do you guys have preferences/recs you can give me, or at least a guide you've used that you like?

Just wondering if anyone's had any luck/experience with UV + light blocking film overlays on their glass display cabinets? I have my fading pinks way at the back behind non-problematic ponies and in spots that don't get any sun, but I'm starting to get paranoid and was thinking of grabbing something like this to cover the glass windows. Or if anyone else has any other solutions I'm all ears! Just want to be able to see my collection without destroying it at all :/

After being high on my wish list for many, many years, I finally found myself a Flurry! She was in an unnamed listing + the photos were kind of out of focus but I snagged her for a (relative) song and when she arrived today I was somewhat shocked by how minty she is. She's as beautiful as I'd always hoped! I've never seen fading pink hair this bright?! I'd be suspicious of a re-pinking but the seller didn't seem like a collector at all and she's totally pristine otherwise so I have to assume just very well preserved. Now to grab a Cool Breeze...

Hi guys! In the midst of all this global craziness I'm thinking about rehairing a So Soft Buttons I'm deflocking whose mane/tail were both write-offs.
Aside from feeling mildly daunted by this new skill, I'm not sure what to do about buying the hair itself. I want to match the colours as closely as possible (which I believe are atomic turquoise and heartthrob) but I've been reading the unsavoury news about Dollyhair and I don't think I want to purchase through them. I've been through all the Arena guides and recommended sellers and I can't seem to find an online store that carries those two shades/approximate matches of nylon. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Would really appreciate it!
