Ebay question.
« on: May 24, 2012, 12:43:05 PM »
Ok, so when a sale is more than a year old you can no longer view the listing details. Is there any way to view it? Basically got a situation and need some evidence and I cannot get lisitng details, so anyone know a sneaky way to get them?
Thanks!

Do you have a item number for the listing? I can't think of a way to pull up an auction over 90 days old to actually see anything but maybe ebay could help you out if you had the item number.

Unfortunately no.  Ebay only stores that info for up to 90 days.

And if you had a problem with a seller that is a year old there is not anything you can do about it to recoup your money either.  Sorry

Sometimes, if you have a direct link to a page, you can see the listing. This one is from January 2012

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MY-LITTLE-PONY-MLP-2003-G3-Spanish-GIANT-MINTY-Huge-HTF-NEW-Super-Rare-NIB-/130614674434?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e693dc402#ht_2592wt_933

The pic is gone but the listing is still there.

I was trying to find a way to do this myself earlier this year, but unless its a real serious problem (in which case I believe ebay can get the info from their archives once you contact them),   there isnt a way of getting the listing details from them. Its worth trying a direct link to the page if you have one  though. It didnt work in my own case, but the one teresat posted here works, and sometimes you can get them to show on Google as well  :)
