Title: How's college/high school going for you?
Post by: Kazzellin on October 07, 2017, 07:25:21 PM
Provided you're in school, of course. :)

I've unfortunately let my reading pile up in a reading-heavy class, so am having to play catch up, and have yet to even log in to my online Spanish II course (stupid of me, I know; in my defense, my computer isn't hooked up right now and neither phone or tablet are supported by the web site), but aside from those I think I'm doing "okay."

You? :D

I am on the longest hiatus ever, and I hate it! I have to finish paying what I owe from the last two undergrad courses I took before I can get a new copy of my transcript. I need the transcript to pick up where I left off in my grad certificate program.

I'm only in one class, a digital art class, and it's stressful only because I have anxiety. I'm so scared of people (specifically my teacher) thinking I'm not working hard enough or not talented enough.

But I learned how to animate in Illustrator and am learning so many other cool things too!

I'm taking my last two classes at community college to get my associates. I'm just ready for it to be over. One of the classes is biology, which I'm just horrid at, and it's a real grind to get through it.

Does uni count here? Because the house I study in is called college  First month and I am trying to survive. Already many essays due and should actually be studying phonetics right now, but ponies are important XD

OH boy I am not even going to tell you guys the year I graduated from high school.  Have a great year guys.  I graduated from college several years ago and it is such a nice feeling to have a degree after all those years of school and hard work. :)

Frustrating at the moment! I'm attending a community college and the major I started out going for (graphic design) removed the very class that inspired me to even go back to school so I changed my major to web design which includes a little programming and network security curriculum as well. It's not so much the work itself but because it's computer oriented, they want to keep most classes as online only with the only way to get help is to either go to the school on your time which for me is a 45 minute drive, or email the instructor personally. I'm a slow learner with some things and have to rely on the internet or youtube video instructions to figure out how to do something. I'm kinda thinking of just getting a certificate since I have only one class left for that or going through with this degree for another year or two and then think about pursuing a different degree. If it wasn't so costly, I'd go for a four year college where they teach what I"m really interested in learning.

High schools going okay for me. I go to one of the biggest high schools in Canada, so there's plenty of people to help. There are plenty of nice people, but also plenty of snobs and general grumpy people. Anybody else also hate people who bathe in axe or other body spray stuff? Let me tell you, it's terrible! But overall, it's pretty great. I like going! Not only do I get to learn, but I get to help other people in my classes. It's like a two in one for me!

Well, I'm officially a senior in college. It only took me ten years, but my life has been really rocky in those ten years. The fact that I'm back is really a bit of a miracle in of itself. I had really resigned myself after my previous university in 2013.

I'm still not really in my field, though. My first oboe teacher recommended I go to a local university and go for a general music major for my Bachelor's and then transfer to grad school for my real degree - Musicology.

So while I am a senior, it doesn't really feel like it! But it is really nice to be making real progress for the first time in a long time. I look forward to really going into my degree, finally! All of my years at college and university I've always been a generic music major, until finally I found out what I want to do.

First year business student! I wanted to be a marketing major, but community didn't offer it, and I figured most of the classes would be similar enough to count for something when I transfer. Classes have felt more like a 13th grade, and much less formal than high school did!
I'm enjoying having more time to myself, and more time to work!  :good:

Congratulations Harmonie! I'm 24 and have had a lot of rocky times through college, too. I don't know if I'll ever graduate. But seeing people overcome obstacles like you is inspiring!
