Looks like it suits dolls of her size, but not so much the bear, & I'm not sure a Soft Newborn could sleep in one either. They tend to fit in baby doll sleeping bags

I can understand why no ponies but I wonder why they went with Care Bears instead of Strawberry Shortcake or Rainbow Brite?

Probably because Cloudco is a business that Mattel has had successful business relationships with in the past. Strawberry was sold from Cloudco's IP portfolio and went into the hands of another company that Mattel has not had a great business relationship with in the past. And Rainbow is owned by its original company still, and has no plans to partner with anyone.

I found this at a thrift store today. Just a few dollars. I seriously thought about buying it, trying to make it look like the boat Cloud Clipper on the old Care Bears movie, and display my figures on it.

OOOOO that display is a good idea. Always think outside the box when it comes to the chunky playsets in the toy aisle at the thrift store! You can paint and seal just about anything.
