I obtained a rainbow dash from the same set as the others, but had a hell of a time finding twilight sparkle... finally I got her at target, but she is from a different set.

Trying to decide if I still want to spring for scale tipping (having each scale individually outlined) even though they upped the prices...

FS is a little lopsided, so I will have to fix that, but the rest seem quite sturdy!

I am going to be interested to see how the baking goes.

all I have in my boss' trailer is a propane stove and I am not sure about the temperature control. I will test one pony first, incase I fail.

Since I have been having a pony itch since I got on the road (traveling to different renfaires), but I don't have any of my crafting supplies, I went out to the nearby walmart and picked up two G4 vict... I mean... baits.

The only ones available were the masked Rarity and Applejack.

I got them back to the trailer and began work: removing their tails and heads and slicing off their legs.

AJ decided to fight back and I popped the tip of my thumb with the blade...

Anyway...

It was kinda late when I started all this so I just got the bases of the tails started.

Right now they are sitting on the windowsill like so -

The reason I am using black clay is that I find the more heavily pigmented clays more malleable. I will be painting them with pearlescent acrylic inks after baking.

After driving 2 days straight, I am in New York.

Blaring Queen with the bass up kept me sane... (ish)

I may get a cat soon.

Aaaaand I met a fellow mermaid who had seen and liked my pictures! Small world!

My fundraiser to get my own tail and be independent from the festival is at 27%

Tomorrow is the last day of the Colorado faire and tomorrow night I leave for New York...

I am in Larkspur, ZennaBug :)

There is one weekend left: Fare thee well & Mardi Gras carnivale weekend.

I work in the pirate ship booth in the middle of the faire.

The owner wants mermaids next year, and I am working towards hopefully being one.

I am working on a new top. Not sure of the specifics, but it will be glorious...

And I am working towards a new tail so that I can do more gigs... a really fantastic tail.

Similar color scheme though

It is always great when the cast members support you and come up with amusing hijinks, such as feeding you gummi worms in the middle of a shift.

Hey pony peeps! Long time no talk :)

I have had a crazy last few months on the road and the only real pony things I have seen is a carousel pony board game at a thrift store.

As a few of you may remember, I posted a thread a while back about becoming a mermaid at my local Renaissance festival.

http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,327924.msg804891.html#msg804891

Anyway, for those interested, I am still performing as a mermaid.

I am also working on performing at various faires across the country.

I am currently in CO selling kitschy things in a pirate booth and on Sunday I am leaving for NY to work as a magician's assistant. Yaaay Renaissance.

Though I intend to work as a mermaid at 3 festivals by next year.

I am also running a promotion on my page that may soon involve custom ponies! (If there is any interest)

However, the main point of this post is that I would really like to talk about mermaids or field questions about my character and maybe gain a few likes on my page :)

I hope your day goes swimmingly!
