Perhaps they are just a hot seller for kids, being so cheap and all... Or... there is another pony person in my town... DUN DUN DUN!!!

I also dream of going to Japan someday, but that's going to take a lot of saving up... so unless someone got tired of their Takaras (which seems unlikely since there are so few collectors who own any) and put them up for sale and had a layaway option, never gonna happen.
