POUTING over a pony... what do you do to console yourself?

I gripe on the Arena and ask for consolation, just like this!  ha ha


And pout a little, could last a few days.  Maybe buy another pony, but that actually doesn't really make me feel much better.  Time is really the only thing that helps me get over it, but I'll never really feel satisfied until I get the pony.

This happened to me a while ago when my grail was on eBay for only around $30. I had been watching it all week but I took a nap and slept through the auction! I was so mad at myself. I found her several days later for a good price, but it was still more than 30.

Usually I cope by buying a bunch of more toys. Or I listen to a lot of angsty music.

This. Although I also tend to binge-eat out of frustration. At worst case, I tend to go into depression fits, although I think I pretty much have that under control now.

First there's sadness and anger that I've not been quick enough. Then I go and analize the whole situation once again, pointing out the GOOD sides of not winning the pony. Like for example: the pony was not is such a great condition, it was worth more than it should be, that by not winning it I saved some money to buy more ponies that are in better condition etc..

Yep, I do this too!  By the time I'm done reassuring myself, that pony magically has cancer, pin dot mold, is missing an ear, smells of limburger cheese... 

And then I go clean something in my house.

Yuck...I know this sensation only too well.

If I am honest I cant give good advice on getting off the ledge...as personally I throw teddies and dollies and pillows and everything out the pram when I miss something. A complete tantrum does take place. According to family, friends and co workers its obvious when I miss something on ebay as I am very very grumpy!

I know there is always the consolation that you may not have won the auction or another one will come along soon...but I fully support the need to rant and flounce a little!

I go one Pony threads and watch Pony stuff on Youtube, but most of the time I go on Transformer sites...Which probably won't help if you are not into it.

I pull out my longtime ex-grail (only an ex-grail because I found her) Algodoncete and brush her hair for a while And then I pull out her piggy friends and brush their hair too!
