Ummm...no  :nope: He sent the wrong item and it is his responsibility to make it right. If you were returning this for any other reason, I would say that Ebay policy would prevail on paying the return shipping. But this was his mistake and he needs to pay for the return shipping and also find out where your pony is and get it to you safely.

I agree. Whenever I'm sent the wrong thing or an item arrives damaged, I always offer to return the item after they send a shipping label. I refuse to spend my own money correcting someone else's mistake.

What a jerk, what is wrong with some people!
Had I made the same the mistake, as a seller, I would pay any shipping, do anything to find the right pony and get it to the buyer asap. Plus add some extras or a partial refund on top of that, to make up for the inconvenience.

Also, sorry to break it to you (and sorry if I'm wrong) but is that Sunbeam even italian in the first place?
I looked him up on ebay and saw the auction... to me the pony looks just like ordinary Hong Kong Sunbeam..?

Yeah, I was wondering about that also.  I've been looking for a regular Sunbeam too and basically put in a low bid that I would be happy with either way- even HK Sunbeam has been hard for me to find in good condition.  I was surprised when I won the auction but happy that she was on her way- go figure  :P

I think I'd wait until Sunbeam was in my hands, then leave a neutral or a negative. The fact that they wouldn't part with such a paltry amount as $2.50 is less repellent to me than the fact they weren't quick to respond or keep in touch after you told them something was wrong. It's bad form and they should get aa neutral or neg for it, because their inaction was neutral and negative.

I would leave negative feedback. If a seller expected me to return an incorrect item, I would have explained why I shouldn't have to pay out of my own pocket to mail it. If they refused or ignored me, I would have reported them to eBay then. I know mistakes happen, but the seller is responsible for giving you what you paid for. You agreed to pay $___ for your pony and you shouldn't have to pay a penny more.
