Pony Corral / Pony Fonts - G1
« on: December 26, 2015, 11:14:40 AM »
I know several years ago someone had created a font based on the G1 logo. Does anyone have a copy/link for this still?

Thanks!

I've been searching everywhere for small enough boxes to ship g4s that are mint on card. Can anyone point me in a good direction?

Anyone have an idea what the Rainbow reissues sets are worth MIB? I'm thinking of letting mine go and I've had no luck finding sets online that are recent sales.

You can always send a note (or even include it the package itself) to remind/ask your buyer to leave positive feedback and 5 stars. :) Something like 'As a new eBay seller feedback is very important to me.' She can also let them know to contact her if their are any other issues to help prevent poor star ratings.

This is something that really buns my biscuits. Paypal has feels because it is a money handling SERVICE. If you a selling something (outside of picking something up at a store as a favor for a pony who doesn't have the item available to them and selling at the same cost you paid), and you use Paypal as a means of accepting payment, then you need to pay the fees for said service, per Paypal policies. It should just be par for the course of selling. I understand a lot of people do it here, so when a seller asks me to send payment as a gift, I will, but it still makes me nervous. I don't like lying about things like that. If that extra cost bugs you, up your prices a little.

I get almost all my etsy payments through Paypal and I do not ask my customers to pay any of those fees. I am paying for a service that makes accepting online payments much easier, so that's how I see it. A lot people don't want to send a MO or cash anymore, so the fees are worth keeping customers.

My sentiments exactly! You are still using the service, and for the record I don't like it when small stores want you to pay a fee for using a credit card either...

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions, but just thought that your "two man book club" idea was incredibly sweet.  Good luck! :)

Thanks! I try really hard to make both of my stepkids feel special and loved, I just feel like we still have a disconnect there. Sometimes its hard for us to find stuff to talk about when its just the two of us and reading is something I think that will help cure that. :)

You've all given me such good suggestions! And books I already know he likes - Percy Jackson and Eragon - so I'm hopeful we'll find something here!! I think I'll look up some of your suggestions and then let him pick.

Keep them coming, we'll need a lot!

Off Topic / Young Adult Book Recommendations
« on: September 21, 2013, 05:34:08 PM »
Hey all, I'm looking for some book recommendations. My stepson and I are still in the bonding stages of our relationship and we don't have a ton in common...but we both love fantasy, mythology and reading so I thought maybe we could try having our own two man book club.

I'm looking for a series (preferably finished...I can't stand waiting!) that is geared around the 12-13 year mark but won't be too boring for an adult.

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

It has been a very long time since I've bought or sold on the Arena, but I have to say, if it's becoming common practice to ask the buyer to pay SELLER'S fees I would be very put off with that seller - same with being asked to send my payment as a gift.

Firstly, as a buyer you are a customer, and I can't think of any business that would ask you to pay their fees for spending money there. You build it into your prices, as others have stated. Why do you think so many sellers on eBay offer 'free' shipping? It is because if their item costs $14 VS someone that sells their item for $10 + $4 the buyer will opt for the 'free' option every time. Its ingrained in us, we want free stuff and we're more likely to use you...and if you feel like you are loosing money buy selling perhaps you should save your extras and baits for meets where none of this comes into play.

Secondly, lets be honest here, we can all argue over how much PayPal and eBay's fees are and whether or not they are excessive, but your transactions as a buyer are almost 100% protected - especially if your item doesn't arrive. Please don't throw that protection away by abusing a gift option that is only supposed to be used for that purpose.

The site looks great!  I looked up my two breeds and I love the information

Not sure if its information your looking for but Jack Russell's should be at least 55% white, and can also come in red/white and well Tri-color and brown/white.

Cavaliers is my other breed and I love that you listed the heart and skull problems, so many people over look this. They are a lovely breed and I love my Chloe but they are not always the healthiest.  I believe they also can have eye issues.  Oh and they are heat sensative like other short nosed breeds because they don't get the air exchange to cool down like other dogs.  I have to be so careful with Chloe because she is ball crazy and will not stop when she is overheated and people just keep throwing it for her.  The one day I came home from work, she was acting really strange (didn't greet me ect.). Not only was she overheated, I looked at her feet cause she was walking very gingerly.  She ran so much she wore soars on all 4 feet.

Anyway back on subject! It's a great site.

Have to show them off

Nice  ^.^ I had to give an infromational speech a while back and my topic was the history of the American Eskimo Dog.

Tiki - I have to tell you I always adore your userpics, I've been noticing them for ages. I used to have an Eskie myself, but we lost him in May. :(

wow! looks really cool!
are you going to have an area for general dog care or training?
or what not to feed your dog, or possible health "human" snacks?
that's always the kind of sites i search for.
maybe doesn't directly apply, but can definately draw a different audience to the site.

I would love to add more dog info all around when I get the chance, but right now I'm focused on trying to finish the histories, that's where my passion is and there are a lot of breeds out there that its difficult to find any info on that I want to get added. I have about 70 more breeds to add and then I'll have all of the breeds recognized by "major" kennel clubs.
