Pony Corral / Show me: Unique and quirky TEs
« on: September 21, 2022, 04:00:13 PM »
My partner has been hearing me rant and rave about twinkles for the past day due to me spending time helping a fellow collector out irl.
I have been searching high and low for these TEs with strange eye colors/symbols to show, does anyone got pictures of errors and funky ones to share with me? I used to have a documented drive, until it died. I'm desperate to re-experience the wonders that is weird pony variants. 😭

Pony Corral / Re: How do you keep count of your herd?

I used to be very neat about my collection, but after cohabiting with my fiancé and getting another cat, I had to prioritize other things. Still love to brush and note them down, but I have lost my track. My main collection are in tubs deep in the basement due to the tiny sized flat we share. Boo :(

Pony Corral / Re: Mythical Discord Giant Display Toy? Barnes & Noble
« on: September 21, 2016, 12:50:47 PM »
Could it perhgaps been a display piece much like past times giant ponies and forest families pieces that are huge? I know there is someone who owns a giant sundance that was on display, so perhaps it was a one-time display item for store fronts.

Things I never knew!
I started looking into the regulations to Sweden because of this and according to tullverket.se
* Goods under 1 500sek (~150euro) may not receive customs fees but may be taxed.
* A package with a value less than 300sek is free from both taxes and customs fees.
* Gifts under 500sek will not have customs fees, but will always be taxed.
* Gifts between 500-1500sek in value have a fee of 2,5% of it's value.
* Gifts over 7000sek in value will have fees between 0-20%. The value is calculated depending on the total price of all the goods that are over 300sek.

Off Topic / Re: Asperger's Syndrome and pony collecting...
« on: March 15, 2016, 05:19:29 PM »
I just came here to say, yes I have AS and collect. Before collecting... I liked organizing, I have an organized chaos as I also struggle with ADD. The days when I function well my collection and management is super amazing, the days I don't, collecting can be a hell. My entire family is pretty much defined by hoarding.

I remember seeing some like these in a lot somewhere in one of the Facebook groups! They remind me of DollyMix ponies
I did share them on facebook, the seller auctioned them off in a local group for childrens toys and retro items however. :)

I can't stop holding them between 2 of my fingers, they are so ittybitty, like petities but squishier! Love it!

Thanks everyone! I was aiming to do a G2 themed cake, as a fellow collector introduced me to a figure making book featuring a pony house. The book arrived later than expected so I decided that the dream castle would be better, and mimic with her shoes was fitting as my aunt enjoys blingy fashions lol
I am very happy with the result as I have now learned how to shape figures from 1 piece of marzipan instead of multiple, it makes assembling peices without breaking waay easier!
Don't know when the next big order will be, but I hope to make some lovely figure cakes soon again!  :lovey:

We don't do fondant, I use marzipan for sculpting. I've yet to master piping in that sense, but I can pipe whipped cream - which reminds me that I should probably finish my decoden project.

Ever since I got back into collecting like 5 years ago, I have been dreaming of a birthday cake that is themed MLP. Perhaps it's my inner child speaking up about the lack of cake had in the past? Don't know but now the time has come, the time for cheer and festivity. On my 22nd birthday I had this giant cake of amazingness:

Ever since I got into being a pastry chef apprentice I have had the luxury of doing my own things at work, so when my birthday came around a couple of weeks ago I requested my supervisor which is also my mom to do a pony cake. My aunt had already decided the filling (vanilla mousse with fresh strawberries) but I had the choice of the exterior, so here's the dream castle and mimic on top, loosely referencing the golden horse shoes episode.  :silly:

I love you moonjumper piece, you're probably going to end up on my list called "people I need to commission". In all seriousness though, that piece was probably the cutest thing I've seen.  :lovey:

I was playing Undertale until about a week ago, the Undying boss is making me have a not so fun time so I quit playing for the time being. I just dusted the inside of my PC so uh, maybe I'll get more performance now since it was always lagging before.

Pony Corral / Check out these ridicoulously small and vintage fakies!
« on: March 03, 2016, 10:52:07 AM »
So I was bidding on a lot a few days ago because I wanted the MB firefly in it, but it also contained some random pony items and these tiny fakies. They are super tiny and look like they are copying the following poses: CP/Bowtie/Secret Surprise Pose (blue), Firefly Pose (yellow) and Gingerbread/Glory/Majesty Pose (orange).
Since I don't have any information about these I'll be thankful, the seller said it's her childhood ponies but didn't have more info. They came mixed in 80s goods. They have the same kind of neck as G1s, a moulded tail, rooted hair and are squishy like G1 ponies.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Advice needed on this trade!
« on: March 01, 2016, 01:55:32 AM »
He said he would send them last firday LATEST. Since friday went by I opened a claim on 3 transactions and so did my fiancé too. He then acted dissapointed; "Ok... Sorry. I want to be better. I can do it."
Because I went in for a minor surgery I haven't talked to him since as I needed to rest, but that response just feels unserious. Maybe I am asking too much however, but I feel that almost 3 weeks and item not sent is not okay. Especially since my partner who was supposed to have the item is in the US and thus super cheap and fast to mail items to.

So no items and no proof of postage. He claimed he bought me ponies, but that doesn't justify items not shipped because how would I know he even sent them? Incredibly dissapoint.
