I have a small shelf next to my bed with some favourites on it, but that's basically it. However, my nightstand is actually a tub of ponies, so they're all kind of displayed. Usually I'm very much attached to a peaceful and orderly environment to sleep in, but sometimes I really need to be surrounded by ponies. When that's the case I dig up more favourites and put them on the headboard, my nightstand and the windowsill. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Got a free bar of chocolate in the mail today from our energy company as a gift. I already got a mail about that a while back, and they said the flavour you receive will be picked randomly. They sent me a 85% extra dark chocolate bar. I. HATE. DARK. CHOCOLATE.  That brand has all these awesome flavours (white chocolate with red velvet, cookie caramel seasalt, birthday cake flavour!), and they send me this.  I feel guilty for being so ungrateful, but it's such a bummer! My father loves it though, so I'll just give it to him. Complaint #2: The radio at work. The same mindless songs ten times a day, and it's TOO. LOUD. I work at a social work place (no idea what that would be in English, but it's production work for people with various disabilities), shouldn't that be quiet and peaceful place? Also, it doesn't really help that our team leaders pump up the volume and start to dance a few times a week. I wish I was making this up.

I love runny yolk. My favourite ice cream flavours are hazelnut and vanilla.  Plain, yes, but it's sooo good! I also like strawberry, pistachio and pecan/walnut. Oh, and I once had sea buckthorn ice cream, it was heavenly! Anything cookie dough would be a favourite, if it weren't for the fact that I haven't found anything yet that actually tastes like it. Not in ice cream, not in chocolate... Actually, Lidl sells a white chocolate bar with coconut and corn flakes, and believe it or not, that bar actually tastes a lot like cookie dough. That being said, soft serves (with sprinkles!) and magnum-types are my favourite kinds of ice cream. I don't like real magnums very much (too smooth), the generic brands are good!

Thanks for the replies everyone!  It's nice that they are liked here on the Arena! I hope to find them somewhere someday, I know Jamin (candy store) has a section of American candy, maybe I should have a look at it... Maybe they have candy corn too; another American thing that fascinates me. The Dummies we used to have were definitely different flavours, I think they were strawberry, raspberry, orange and lemon.

So, at work today we had to put German stickers on American boxes of rainbow Nerds, these: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHowever, I noticed that the expiry date said "Best by May 22", and I was wondering if that's common? I'm used to seeing "Best before", not "by". Doesn't "Best by" kind of mean that you should wait until May 22, because by then they will be at their best? I'm not trying to be a smartass; I am genuinely curious because I have never seen it phrased like that before. Now, because I don't really want to dedicate a whole thread to a simple language question... Lets talk about Nerds!   Do you like them? I've never had them, I don't think we have them here (the ones going through my hands today were going to Germany, unfortunately). However, we have (or had?) Dummies, I think they are pretty much the same? I always liked those. I would love to try Nerds too.  And I fell in love with those little creatures on the box, haha! They are adorable.

By coming here! It's been a while again, but now I'm finally on the couch after a long work day, and I feel like catching up on pony business. In that case spending time with such a person, & you love him, is not going to be boring at all. you could watch paint dry with such a person & not be bored...
