Is believe the codes stands for the production date:

81141 means made on the 114th Day of 2018 (the 1 is a control number) Ugh I hope they arrive in my country soon. Really want them. X3

That's what I was worried about when I saw that 7 - 8 of the ones I found at Target today all had the same code.  I picked out three with different codes just in case it turns out to mean something but I suspect it will turn out to be the production date as said.  For anyone wanting to compare here are the codes from the ones I got:

That code is the only difference I can find on the labels.

My Target didn’t have the Cutie Mark Crew stuff out yesterday I want the  seaponies   Has anyone seen All About Tempest or the baby Hippogriffs since Target reset toys?

That really sucks. I feel a lot of companies do this to squeeze us adult collectors. Kids are usually fine with what they can get and if they get doubles can trade them directly to their friends. Adult collectors are more likely to pop the dupes onto ebay and just buy more.

...I actually sort of enjoy there being the element of surprise, although I see the frustration. At least this is a ~$5 product, and I can use doubles to customize if there is no ebay interest for them. I actually hope I get some doubles to make keychains out of. 
My walmart is very untrustworthy when it comes to ponies being in stock, but I'd be willing to try to see if the numbers mean anything by buying two of each code, although it is very possible they mean nothing. It's just that the production codes being different ponies that one time makes me suspicious.

I feel this way whenever they decide that almost every new character has to be released in a pack with a Mane 6 and a bunch of  accessories.  Or a really big pack full of rereleases and only 1 or 2 are new.

When I was there looking at them, there was a little girl and her dad trying to pick something to spend her birthday money on.  She was going to pick one of the blind boxes but really wanted it to be Cadance with Celestia (not included in the blind boxes) as her second pick.  The dad asked if there was any way to tell, and I told him I didn't think so but that I did know that two of the larger packs they had with "mystery" ponies included Celestia.  The girl eventually settled on the school themed pack so she could be certain to get Celestia even though it used up almost all of her money.

I checked Walmart and they didn’t have any of the new MLP out. I was hoping they’d at least have the new Cutie Mark Crew sets.

They finally made G4.5 Cutie Mark Crusaders.  I may have to get that School of Friendship pack just to compare them to the G4 molds.
