Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - Been looking forward to this for months now, didn't know what to expect but I love Puss, can't believe it's been what... 11 years since the first film? I give it 9.5, knocking off half a point since I wasn't a big fan of the art shift in the action sequences (I found it distracting/a bit uncanny valley at times). No spoilers, but OMG it was so good!!!!! And that ending, wow. I loved it!!

The Wolfman (original) It was a werewolf movie. It was fine. I liked Larry Talbot and Maliva. 7/10

Blended  6/10★
I liked Drew Barrymore, and it ended fine, but Sandler’s comedy irks me sometimes.

Saturday I watched two movies, Minions The Rise Of Gru and Lyle Lyle Crocodile. Both were good. I liked Lyle Lyle Crocodile more because the young character, Josh, was like me in a way I could understand the most. The minions movie was interesting too.

Tár 7/10★
This movie was bizarre, creepy, and unsettling at times, which is not what I was expecting for a conductor/composer movie, but the tone is intentional. I thought it was going to be more along the lines of Whiplash, but it wasn’t. I liked it though. The end was great.

Skinamarink 8/10★

Wonderful film about childhood fears, whole movie is a slow burn so if you're fine with that, check it out! I'm a big fan of experimental horror and this was it!! Not 10/10★ because I feel like some of the scares were cheap (not a fan of jumpscares, weak tactic imo) and pacing was off (ironic for a slow burn movie, huh?)

Call Me Miss Cleo 8/10★
I love documentaries about “eccentric” people. Fascinating story. While she had her faults, it’s sad how these men took advantage of her as a figurehead.

The Two Towers Extended Edition at the cinema last night. It is something special in seeing it with a bunch of other fans who know hows it goes, who laugh in a scen before the pun because they know they pun is coming. I watched the first film last month and I hope I'm off work to catch the last one in March.

10/10

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (74) First time watching any of these films. It was grimy, uncomfortable, and made some weird noises. Two of the people she was with were idiots. I did kind of crack up, when the well meaning truck driver decided to get out of there after Leatherface stood back up from cutting into his own leg. I don't understand why he did some kind of bizarro dance with his chainsaw in the middle of the street? It was a good film. The camera work was excellent.  7/10

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of my favorite horror movies!
I also like a few other movies related to this, which were made later (some even in the 2000s), but nothing beats the first original, of course. I still get chills down my spine even though I've seen it many times. I love those creepy sounds.
Maybe his "dance" is raging madness when his prey manages to escape.  :wonder:

---
I watched the horror drama Shepherd (2021) and liked it very much.
The film had beauty (barren landscapes, freezing air, hills, stormy sea, thunder), sadness (death, loss, loneliness, cold color scheme), horror (unknown mystical and terrifying threat, the dead) and brutality (blood, corpses... i.e. the animals lose their lives as the film approaches the end, I don't recommend that scene for sensitive people!)

 :green: 9,5 / 10
