Baby it's cold outside!

Montana has had a pretty mild winter, at least on the west side of the Rockies. Typically by now it has been snowing non-stop since Thanksgiving and we should have at least 2 feet of snow on the ground if not more. This year, we barely have anything. It's been so warm that as soon as the storm has passes the snow melts away.  It's been especially hard on our ski resort. They only recently fully opened but we still aren't getting the snow. It's all rain in our forecast and we are only 60 miles from Canada!!

Anyone who wants snow, you can have mine!  And the ice, freezing rain, windchill, scraping the car, beating the ice off the steps, and 3 layers of clothing!  I can't stand winter!  I can't wait 'til it's spring!

Our winter has been whacky this year.  Fery little snow (except for right now..theres a few inches on the ground).  Unusually 'warm' for hte most part, hovering at just below freezing.

But i really like winter weather, i have rather this cold then summerheat...

I prefer cold over heat too! Although I'm very cold at work 

I know when i was a kid i stand hours and hours in front of the livingroom window to look at the snow flakes falling down....
For me is snow a very magical thing...it it also very still outside when it snows...the birds do not fly and bundle up together in the trees. The other beasties are in hibernation...and the world turn in to a place where it is peacefull and virgin white....

I still love to watch the snowflakes falling!

Gazzy, here when snow is on the ground and sticks it's called accumulation. We have about 4" accumulation of snow on the ground as of today. It's supposed to get up to almost 50 degrees F today, almost 25 degrees above normal, crazy eh? Good bye snow!

We have cold...then the occasional not serious snow and this week it's been in the 40's...very VERY weird for Wisconsin.

I'd swop with anyone who is complaining about cold in a heartbeat! We can do a house swop! I LOATHE the summer and last week it hit 38degrees C (that's just over 100F??) here - Cape Town rarely goes above 31 in summer...

Great Falls Montana has been very warm.  Well not sure warm is a constant term, but we have no snow.  We had so much wind though, it's been about 50 degrees here.  Much better than last week when it was -20 before windchill.   They are predicting us to have a very bad very late winter though.  Last year we had that too which sucked since that meant Going to the Sun road in Glacier wasn't open until almost August.

I've been calling this The Winter That Wasn't  We haven't gotten much snow in the past few years but usually it at least gets cold. The worst day we've had so far was more like a brisk autumn day than winter. Today we had temperatures up in the 70's and it's February! This is nuts. I want my winter

With the exception of a few snow storms, it's been an incredibly mild winter.  I was in a t-shirt the other day, which is outrageous!  I love the mild weather, but it's not a good year for snowboarding.  There's so little snow at some of the ski resorts that they don't even have all the runs open.
