Contrary to the previous incarnation, this one is much closer to the original. I'm kinda excited about it LOL
I hope the PVC figurines come back as well !

This is a huge year for Care Bears....lets hope they revert a little to their roots in style! They look like they could be doing this...fingers crossed

Oooooh Care Bears! They were a MAJOR obsession of mine as a kid, and I love that they're not too different than I remember them.

LOL Yup we had the original 80's bears. Then the remakes that only looked like the old ones in that they had symbols on their tummies. Then the next remakes went back to looking like the old ones. The the next were the last set with little bodies and big heads. So this would be the 4th set of remakes and the 5th set of bears.

I was gonna say, it's been more than their first re-design! :) Gahhhhhhhh... wish that companies would release new things instead of making it more complicated to collect for the older characters! These look really "CGI" and I am not sure I'm fond of it...

Idk. I sorta like the Adventures in Care-a-Lot designs better. I didn't start out liking them, but they quickly grew on me.
Now I'm expected to learn to like the pre-AiCAL designs again?
Bigger question is, will Oopsy Bear be in this version?

Thank you for the pics. Except for the last incarnation, the difference between gens is not as big as seen in MLP.
And no, the new toys aren't pictured yet. Maybe they were also shown during the toy fair, but nothing has been published on the net so far.

I didn't collect them but I loved the 25th anniversary bears. I hope these ar as cute. I'd buy a PVC figure of the Cousins!

I was kinda concerned when I read the series would be cgi but the picture on there looks promising^^ You're right. It does look close to the original even if it is going to be cgi.

I love Carebears!! I really hope the come bach as those poseable figurines like they used to do.

Childhood nostalgia, d00d. I still have my 80s figurines with the hair. Plus I only have a few of the 3rd-ish gen plushies, with the only Cousins being Loyal-Heart Dog and Proud-Heart Cat.
I'm not to sure if i'm going hyper on the "4th gen" CB. And yes I agree that I want to see the Cousins, especially Swift Heart Rabbit. (BTW, I see Swift as a tomboy-ish girl *coughRainbowDashcough* with runner's athlete clothes....)

Yes for me is it also childhood memories, only i never got a Carebear back in the 80ties from my parents....

I always loved the show as a child! I never had any toys, though. I wasn;t really interested in plush that young, but I wouldn't mind picking up a few when they come out.

I loved the G3 Care Bears but I didn't care for the last gen at all, this new series looks promising.
