Powerhouse (Toy Shop Terror) - Animaniacs OST

Well, from a fanmade OST, anyway. Wish they really would release the scores from this show :P I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Unusually sunny in my latitudes for the year. It's hot too. Nice if you ask someone in a Northern country where it's mostly rain, snow and cold.

I remember the G1 and the cartoons when I was a teenager. I had a friend with a little sister and she was totally obsessed with the G1 when it was the big thing in the -80s. Of course, we then also had the opportunity to watch VHS tapes with the ponies.

I actually enjoyed the stories, it wasn't as bad as a guy of that age would think. It was cute somehow.

The years passed, and quite a while later I saw DVD movies in the grocery store with ponies. So couldn't resist buying one of every episode I found in the pile. It was "My Little Pony Tales" and I remember it being completely different from the previous G1 movies I had seen.

But it was so cute, it was in my own language so my little daughter loved it. And we probably watched those movies 1000's of times over and over again.

I grew up with G3 and I don’t remember how exactly I stumbled onto G1 ponies, but I actually didn’t like them at first! I really don’t know WHY since they aren’t all that different from G3 in hindsight, but I guess they were just different enough that it seemed wrong to me. Then I stumbled onto the G1 baby ponies and Aikarin’s custom ponies and got converted pretty quick. :P I also remember finding the G1 cartoons at Toys r Us on DVD and loving the cartoons! Even though the animation was a lil janky, I remember being excited by the more intense story lines compared to G3.

Me too. I have a few G3 toys at that point, then I saw G1 show on TV. I thought it was weird and kind of ugly, but the story of cute little ponies and 3 human children fighting against the dark forces/evil witches and winning with wit, and co-operation, rather than superior powers won me over easily. Galaxy and Fizzy were my favourite.

G3 and G1 ponies look similair enough for young me to underdtand, "Oh, they modernize the design.", but for the longest time, I didn't realize G2 is the same My Little Pony. I thought G2 was My Little Pony Tales. Even, I played the heck out of Friendship Garden.

It's been unseasonably cool today and heading into this weekend...I don't mind walking around in the cooler temps of around 60-70 F, but I miss the sunshine and slightly warmer weather. :/
