Title: Healthy Pony New Year
Post by: Crowning_Glory13 on January 09, 2019, 12:52:51 PM
Healthy Pony started with an amazing pony, Sourdough Stomper. She inspired so many to take a step forward and become the healthiest pony they could be. When she decided she could not continue with the update of Healthy Pony, I stepped up and lead the way. I have accomplished so much due to Sourdough Stomper’s inspiration. I carry on Healthy Pony because of what I could achieve, and want to share that with all of you.

So here is the start of a new year, time for the new you. It’s time to create the plan and reward. Like many, I need to put a fire under my butt to keep me going. I and those joining us today will be that torch.

We start February 1st and end April 30th.  It is about 90 days to make your path to a healthy pony. Like all of my rounds you can start TODAY!!!

Here is how you sign up.

1. What do you plan to accomplish in your 90 days/Healthy Pony.

2. What are your steps to reach that accomplishment?

3. How will you reward yourself?

*the reward can be anything from enjoying a special treat like ice cream, or getting a pony, or even putting on a dress you didn’t know you could fit into. No being hard on yourself, you should get a reward for trying.

** healthy pony is not just for weight loss. It’s steps to a better you. Maybe you want to organize your room, that’s being Healthy, saving money, that is healthy, getting more social, is all about a happier you:)

To enter healthy pony you just have to fill out the sign up.

CG Sign Up

1. What do you want to accomplish in 90days/Healthy Pony

I have 15 items I want to accomplish in the year of 2019. If I broke them down they have a simple components.
A. Daily Activity
B. Daily Piano Playing
C. Daily Knitting

2. What are your steps to reach these accomplishments.

I shall give myself 1 point for each time I do A, B, and C. 2 points for B, since I have a harder time doing this. So in one day, I can get  4 points. 4 x 90 = 360 points.

3. How will you reward yourself?

If I reach 90 points, I can reward myself. Not sure with what, but when I get closer to 90 I will start thinking about it.

* you may sign up with any plan, not what I have in place. This about you becoming a healthy pony, and we become your support system to help you. All goals can be changed and adjusted, because that is how we learn.

Ready to be the best you in 2019!!!

I'm in! I have a rough idea what I want to do, just need to flesh it out more into some specifics.

Will be back to fill in details.

******************

1. What do you plan to accomplish in your 90 days/Healthy Pony.
Personal: need to get back into better regular tooth brushing and flossing habits
Business:
- updated photos
- updated listings
- more regular social media posting

2. What are your steps to reach that accomplishment?
Personal: I'm going to start a habit tracker (bullet journal style) for each day, little boxes to colour in on a grid
Business:
- I bought a portable photo studio/lightbox to get better photos, and we moved my craft desk into the office so it's closer and easier to use
- I'm going to make a list of all my current items/listings, and what each has vs what I want them to have (description, photos, etc), and work through it to get them where I want
- goal for social media posting is 2x per week. Daily is hard for me, but I then I just lose momentum and don't post at all. I think 2 or maybe 3x week is doable. I think I'm going to get a paper calendar to detail out plans and brainstorms for what I want to post. Also need to be better at tailoring the posts (length, hashtags, etc) for each platform.

3. How will you reward yourself?
No idea, LOL!

I've been such a lump this winter break, I can't wait to get started on something!
I like this ABC format, so I'll be borrowing it.
1. What do you want to accomplish in 90days/Healthy Pony
a. Sticking to a diet that is not harmful for my acid reflux, which means less fats/sugar and more vegetables.
b. Take a walk or do something active at least twice a week. Work does not count, a pokemon go walk to the two poke stops in my neighborhood does.
c. Cut down on spending. Stay within the limits of my $60 per week.
d. Write a fanfiction. Any fandom is fine, I just want to get back into it. At least 5000 words a week.
e. Stay on top of doubles from pony collecting. List for sale or trade within a week of receiving some double ponies from lots or etc.
2. What are your steps to reach these accomplishments.
a. This will have to be adjusted as I learn what foods hurt and what foods do not. No point value, the lack of pains will be enough to motivate me, I hope.
b. Each activity will be worth 2 points. 52 points possible.
c. Staying within the $60 spending limit (outside of rewards for my achievements) will reward me with 5 points. Maximum points from this: 65
d. One point per 1000 words written per day. 90 points possible.
e. I will be motivated by the money or new ponies.
3. How will you reward yourself?
Rewards every 50 points! A pony lot off eBay, a thrifting day, or something else. These rewards may exceed my $60 allotted per week.
I wanted to make this more than just a way to stick to my studies, because that's sort of obligatory. I wanted to do something extra. My semester starts before the start date, but once I fall into a schedule with that it I'll be able to see where things could fit in.

I wanna participate again!  Let me think about what I want to work on and I'll fill it in!

*****

1. What do you plan to accomplish in your 90 days/Healthy Pony.
1. Exercising for at least 30 minutes 4-6 times a week
2. Finish at least 3 UFOs (Unfinished Objects) from my projects list.
3. Eat less junk food.

2. What are your steps to reach that accomplishment?
1. I will walk on the treadmill.
2. I will work on something at least a little bit every day.
3. If I don't buy it, it won't tempt me.

3. How will you reward yourself?
Well, I have about 20 Anime series that I bought during Christmas sales (Sentai had a bunch on sale for less than $5!) so I am only allowed to watch them while walking on the treadmill.  That is both motivation and reward for doing so!  As for the other goals, finishing my UFOs will give me some much needed space and once I have enough of them done, I will allow myself to pick up some more art projects/supplies.  I'm hoping that not eating as much junk will help me lose some weight so I can wear some shirts I bought a while back that I would really like to fit into.

I may add more to this if I think of anything else before we get started.  :)

I'll be in as well. I'll have to think on my new goals! Healthy pony was such a success for me last round- but this is the time of year I really struggle with getting things done so I think I should keep things a bit more simple.
Title: Re: Healthy Pony New Year

I’ve developed some really unhealthy lifestyle habits in the past couple of years, and it’s definitely starting to catch up to me. I think something like this would help me really stick to the goals I set!
I still have to work out the specifics of what exactly I want to work on, and what kind of reward system would help me, but count me in!

Edit: I think I have obtainable goals in mind. Lets do this!

1. What do you want to accomplish in 90 days/Healthy Pony
A. Lose some weight and keep it off! Ideally I'd like to lose about 10 pounds to start.
B. Eat Healthier! I want to have at least one serving of fruits or veggies a day.
C. Drink more water! My fitbit has a daily goal of 64 oz a day, so I will go with that!

2. What are your steps to reach these accomplishments?
A.
i.Take at least 6,000 steps each day (1 Point)
ii. Climb at least 10 flights of stairs each of the 4 days I'm at work (1 Point)
iii. Try and have at least 15 minutes of high intensity activity (2 Points)
iiii. Try and stay under 1,800 Calories a day in food. If I go over, but burn    it off with exercise I will still earn the points. (2 Points)
B.
   i. Try and eat either some fruit or veggies every day. If they are part of another meal (example mushrooms on a burger) I will still count this. (1 Point)
ii. Bring some healthy options to work to eat as a snack instead of chips/candy (1 point)
C.
   i. Bring along bigger glasses of water to drink when I'm away from home (1 Point)
ii. Aim for at least 64 oz of water a day. (1 point)

3. How will you reward yourself?
For any day I hit every one of my goals (10 points max) I will buy myself something small, like a blind bag pony.
Once I reach a total of 200 points I will either treat myself to something pricier (thinking around $50?) OR put the money/points toward a bank for something even bigger. I have been wanting a new tattoo for a little bit! ;)

I'm a health coach so I should be able to get goals accomplished on my own but this past year I've just been so off. I've gained 20lbs in 2018 after going off a medication and from sitting around because my current job is work from home. I've got serious issues with sugar. And I've become to lazy to even do things I like, and other things like dressing up I can't do because my clothes don't fit anymore.

So I have several habits I want to focus on for this. I'll detail it out later today

Tailrustedtealeaf you have some great goals and motivators. I am so excited to see all these posts. I do not get updates on on new forum posts (still have not figured out why) so feel free to PM me if you need something.

Saramari, your health knowledge will be so wonderful. Your insight will he powerful and maybe inspire you to bring your habits up.

I took the time to write my goals in my daily notebook. It helps organize my day and important things I need to remember. I know we start Feb 1st, but I really need to work now. I am on my last bra until I loose some weight!!!! Haha. Just a pound or 2 will help:)

Good luck everyone!

I'm going to copy your notebook idea CG! I used to keep everything written down in a little planner, but when I stopped being a student I fell out of the habit.
Last healthy pony I was keeping a sort of running to-do list in my phone but I think having a separate little date book I can bring around with me will be even more helpful- just means I need to get into the habit of carrying it around with me

1. Edited 1/30 for realism
-Maintain the weightloss I achieved last year (172.4max)
-Get back into working out, aiming for 1x/week
-Work on my cross stitch project 1x/week
-List extra PE parts & G2s for sale

2. Stay organized! I'll get a datebook to help me track my progress.

3. I'll reward myself with a delicious dinner of whatever I want

Love it:) the note book has helped me stay on task and see where I might need more attention. I have started to work, and I am not doing so hot! My husband and I have separate schedules....so an old habit is at risk of coming back.....and it's a bad one involving over eating and not with healthy food.

I set some goals for myself! :) I tend to be overly lofty with goal setting, so I tried to reeeallly break it down so I could give myself some credit each day! :P
I'm genuinely excited to start! I signed up for a weight loss app and got a fitbit to track my activity. I really want this to be a year where I finally turn my weight gain into weight loss!

I've just realized if I count reading fanfiction as reading, I've been hitting that goal mutiple times over.  :P Adjusted that goal to be a little more productive as I oftentimes find mysellf staying up late to read once I get on a fanfic kick.
I love seeing everyone fill out their goals!

I forgot to log in to Duolingo one day and lost my 145 Day streak. Now I fill completely unmotivated to continue even though I was really learning. I was watching a cartoon in French and I actually understood part of what they were saying without using subtitles.

1. What do you plan to accomplish in your 90 days/Healthy Pony.

A. Keep practicing French on Duliingo

B. Lose weight

2. What are your steps to reach that accomplishment?

A. Try to do a few Duolingo French lessons a day.

B. Hoping to get more serious about eating the right kinds of food and getting serious about excersie.

3. How will you reward yourself?

Something small like a retro pony at first maybe a BAB animal for a larger reward.

Ponyfan, that's what completely killed my motivation on duolingo a few years ago, too. It seems to work as motivation until you break the streak. If only there were a different reward system in place to motivate more consistently.

My phot to contest is on hold until my finances get better:)

I'm already feeling really unmotivated... :(
I plan to get myself a little date book so I can write down my goals, and break them down by week and even by day. Mini goals really helped me last round. I try to track my daily mini goals in my smartphone but lately Im not keeping up on them.
I think keeping to a more organized & planned schedule will be good for me. Now to find the right cute day planner before the round starts officially next week!

Oh I have been working at my job goals... but nothing so far.  I have applied to 180 jobs, had 4 in-person interviews and 3 phone interviews.

Until then I don't have the money to do the paperwork that needs to get done.  :(

Post by: Crowning_Glory13 on January 25, 2019, 03:11:49 PM
Lovesbabysquirmy, I could find you a job if you lived in WI:( sorry it’s hard.

I understand the unmotivation. I am there. Cold does not help as I have 3 kitties on my bed huddling to be warm....it’s below 0 cold. I do not want to come out of blankets.

In my date book I have my progress written for 2-3 weeks.

A.I am sadly at 170lbs. My goal is to loose 20lbs this year.
First task is to get 3 days of activity. I do small quick work outs, as I hate working out. So I do a set of different moves in 10. Each active day I get 1 point. If I reach 3 days I get an additional 5pts. Next week I am going for 4 days of activity. If I reach it I get an extra 5 points. The third week is bumping my rep of 10 to 12. Going for 4 days a week. If I get 3 I get an extra 1 point. 5 days I get another 5 points.

B. Playing piano. I get 1 point for each lesson I teach. That’s simple. My goal is twice a week to spend 10min on Piano. I get 20points each time....my hardest goal. I get 5 points for consistency for each week I play the piano. Need to bribe myself a lot on this.

C. Knitting. My 2016 Temperature blanket is taking too long. So my goal is to knit 5 days a week. On average 5 rows. It’s a queen blanket. If I reach the 5, I get 10points. 1 point for each day I finish if I did not reach 5. I also have a blanket and puppy sweater to finish before I can start other projects. I get 2 points for working on them.

Looks like I should hit a lot of points....I have written the bad.

I did this today. I have a food addiction to junk food. It’s kind of related to fear and insecurity of my body and self. Food has compliment my emotions in an unhealthy way. I used to sneak fast food all the time. No more. I got lucky and worked with the hubby. That has ended, so I need to be hard on myself. So 25 points gone when I do this....sadly I did this today

Lazy days get a minus 5 points. I mean like I put a butt print in the couch lazy day.

Rewards.
For every 10 points I get an imaginary $1.00 I can spend or save. This could turn to actual money and buy a pony, or yarn reward, or ask to go out to eat with hubby, like date night. I have goldfish crackers...I love them free at work. I can get one of those for my points:)

I also get rewards for posting here! Yup I need motivation to post. It’s ok to start now! I am

I’ll be sending some positive job vibes your way! I know how tough it can be just to even get your application seen. :( It sounds like you’re doing absolutely everything you can, so fingers crossed a good opportunity will pop up soon!

I’m excited to start tracking my goals! I’ve been trying to keep them in the back of my mind for the past couple of weeks and I’m doing pretty good! Shockingly, I’m actually less active on my days off! Turns out i’ll need to start pushing myself to move more at home. I also really need to get better about what I eat, I’ve had a few off days with calorie count and eating healthy foods.
Part of the problem is eating with my family. I appreciate that my dad cooks for all of us, and the food is always really good! It’s just...he makes these huge portions of carb heavy foods and he refuses to cut the portions he makes. The meal he made last night was a baked spaghetti casserole meant to serve 12. There were 2 of us eating. Needless to say that was about my 1600 calories right there alone. :/ Both me and my mom have told him we’re trying to lose weight but he seems to think if he adjusts the recipes the food won’t be good.

Its hard to portion. My mom was so used to cooking large meals, she couldn't control it. What worked for was making the large mean and freezing/storing. So she had meals for a month! Husband and I do it too. We go out we only eat half so we have a portion controlled left over.

This is not my posting point, yet.i just started my day. Granted I opted for tea and not coffee so a good start. I was going to tell hubby to get junk food with our groceries but decided not to! So good start so far.

Portions and meal planning ONLY work for me if I cook the food and immediately portion out the meals and freeze it BEFORE I serve anything to my family. If we eat it first, then I always struggle to put it away in containers.  It's too much like leftovers I guess.

started some sewing projects to distract myself from the lack of progress in other areas.

Lovesbabysquirmy I would love to see your sewing projects. Selling sewing might be fun. I know it's hard and not consistent but I do that with knitting and wings. I make very little but it's nice in a bind.

Saturday....I was fed free food, but ate more than I should have...it was pizza. Not 1 or 2 I had like 5 squares...I was miserable afterwards...so that was a shame on me and I took 3 points away. Need to control myself better. The day was so long and I was so tired no activity, but I knitted a bit. I get 2 point for the knitting the project blanket! I recorded and posted so that is 1 point...hahaha I broke even with 0 points on Saturday.

Sunday is going ok. So far knitting has been accomplished...but there is more day to plow through. We can start Feb 1st but why not now:)

I keep meaning to post but my sister and her family came a little unexpectedly this week so I've been a little busy.  I've got my art projects organized and I mean to tackle them as soon as my niblings are gone because I'd rather spend time with them while they're here and they're leaving Tuesday or Wednesday so it's not like it will be a big delay in getting started.  I know in the past I've promised pictures and I haven't done it so this time I'm going to try really hard to remember to take pictures and get them posted !

OOOOO I had a job leave a voicemail while I went to pick up kid from school!  So I cross my hooves and do a lucky dance that I can get in touch with this person.

I will try to take some photos of my sewing - I took one of my favorite blouses and copied the pattern.  Then I have been hand-stitching it for the last uhhhhh.... year?  on and off.  I have started doing some embroidery on the collar recently while watching Game of Thrones :D

There has been constant utility construction in the street for the last 2 days so the whole house has been shaking and wiggling.  Makes it IMPOSSIBLE to concentrate on ANYTHING.
Also the school has ice skating lessons going on, so many of us parents are out there, lacing and un-lacing skates and balancing kids on the ice... so I'm trying to be out of the house and somewhat social!  My legs and rear hurt from balancing so much on ice, it's much like the pain of riding a horse if you don't do it a lot. owwwwwww

I got myself a little day planner, so far its been kind of counter productive. Im sort of stressed about exactly how I want to use it to keep track of things, and be consistent. But its been a hurdle.

Im going to lower my expectations and simply use it to write down what I want/need to get done that day (vs tracking progress on multiple things)

I also reduced my goals for this round. Ive been feeling more and more compromised in my productivity and I think setting the bar too high will stress me out. Last round I set the bar high and was really motivated and met all my goals. This round Im barely feeling able to stay on top of my normal tasks so I hope that lowering my expectations will allow me to feel accomplished in meeting my goals. Maybe that sense of accomplishment will motivate me to go above and beyond.

You can do it ponyfan!!!! Keep trying.

Doing lucky dance for you lovesbabysquirmy, and the blouse sounds beautiful. I would love to learn how to ice skate. Never done it before:)

Princesunbeam you are right. I was way to complicated in my recording. Now I am just doing a list of what I want/need to do in a day. I do however give myself more than 1 point for things. For example I PLAYED PIANO TODAY!!! yup super excited. So I gave myself 5 points. But only 1 point for knitting since I am doing better and it's easy TV activity.

Ponyfan Doritos ate not allowed in my house...I xan clear a large bag in one day!

Ice skating is a LOT like rollerblading/skating.  Um except it's cold when you fall over.

I started working on the sleeves of my dress but let me upload something WIP:

Oh and DREAM JOB INTERVIEW in-person next week!!!!  don't panic or anything.   I passed the phone interview but now I need to seriously get this job.  OMG I cannot tell you how much fun it would be - but if I am successful, you'll AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL hear about it :)

Doritos are also a serious weakness in our house.  Did any of you ever get to try the flavours they made with blue corn?  I think they were in Jurassic Park bags... MMMMM

Prince_Sunbeam, I totally know what you mean about struggling with the goals now that you have them written down.  and they are there, right in front of you... it's daunting.  yeah.  Sometimes I don't even look at the list I have for Healthy Pony, I just try to remember to give myself lots of self-care moments and make the better choice for Future Me.  Eventually it works out to where I can look at my lists again and not feel overwhelmed.

Of course I have to have something else be a struggle for me with all these good things so let's see... yesterday I went to buy some ice skates for DD that were cheap, brand-new and the right size.  we have been borrowing from the Skate Shack rental at the school rink, so she needs her own.  Anyway this SHOULD have been an easy trip but somehow I ended up on the wrong road and ended up driving to the OTHER side of town.  LOL  I was so frustrated, I had to come home after 1.5 hours because I still didn't have ANY idea where I was, and my husband drove this 30 minute voyage.  SO AWFUL.  Apparently I have inherited my grandmother's sense of direction... which is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.  one time she meant to drive home, in Florida, so she didn't take the right direction and instead of being in Ft. Lauderdale, she was like, in Georgia.  YEAH I have done very similar things but I try not to tell people about them... I got lost in the dark in the cold only 3 blocks from my house once.

Haha is ok on directions. I have farmer direction...turn left after the Rock next to the bean field that was once a farm owned by a lady. Hahaha. I am very nice with my lists. One time I put on brush teeth. I always do this so it’s not like it was ever an issue but it was so easy and I felt good crossing it off I was a bit more motivated.

I also do not punish myself if I don’t cross anything off. Life happens and moods change. Lazy just might be my day:) my only punishment is buying fast food and eating two lunches because of it. It’s a waste of money, defeats my goal of loosing weight, and I could get a pony for the same cost. I do get upset if I put a butt print in the couch. If I knit it’s ok, but just video games....not so much.

The points give me a bit of leverage to say I deserve a pony or something like new yarn:)

Oooh make it a reward. I do school work, then I get to do this fun activity!!!

Since starting this post to now, I lost 5 pounds!!!! Wooo. And I celebrated with chocolate...hahaha. kind of counter productive...but it came with a pony!!! Hehe those finders keeper eggs are so fun. They are so tiny they look like giant toys for blind bag ponies like giant couch teddy bears is to us:) haven't found two the same yet, but might turn the ears red so they can have a good angel and a bad devil on their shoulder...haha:)

Right now it's cold and my sweet kitty like tents made with blankets and my legs. She is 12 years old, we call her princess for a reason. She gets what she wants:)

Huh, I might have to re-word a couple of my goals, I realized some of them are not perfect to use on a day to day basis and some of them are hard to measure. But working with what I set up I’m giving myself 7/10 points for day 1. I ate wayyy too much but still came in under my calorie count on my weight loss app! I just had to move a little more to burn it off.  :P and at least some of the food was fruit! I’m calling my first day a win  ;)

You bets that's a win!!!! The best part of healthy pony is learning what works and what is not feasible at the time. Its building the awesome up on a solid foundation. I will look at points later:)

Sigh, I am trying to be good. I am. So stressed and my hubby is putting so much pressure on me, all I want to do is eat:( I broke down at work nd went home:( I hate myself so much. If hubby knows he would be upset. He is already mad I sold a pony item to low of price, and calls my wings and knitted items a waste of time, even though I make a little money for us. I work 2 jobs and try and sell just to makes ends meet, and yet I am yelled at for taking a low price on an item. It’s slow at my job, and threatened us with a move back to the in-laws if I didn’t get the promotion I have been fighting for....trying so hard to not stuff my face with junk food. I am at home for now...so not a lot of options to be bad....

Writing is hard? I'm not inspired at all. Perhaps that goal was unrealistic. Maybe I'll fix it to be SOMETHING creative.
I have to get gas this week so there goes my $60 spending limit points for the week...at least it'll keep me going for about a month or so.
My reflux has been acting up as of late so I need to eat more fruit than I have been. I'm sure that would help a lot. Too bad nothing is in season yet...

Yes yes yes!!!! It will happen. It is going to be your Day!!! THAT JOB IS YOURS!!!!!

I was not good today...ate my feelings today:( work got the best of me. Sigh. Just overwhelmed in what I need to do. I have dropped 2 pounds so that is a plus. I made it to 33 points. I ate those points today...sigh. but I am working on things.

I put a system in place so I only have $5 on me only. Less likely to be bad, but also enough to get a tiny pony treat if I feel a reward is needed. It's my Friday so I am maki g my plan for the week and see how I do.

Healthy is all about learning each step of the way:)

I'm here, but we had a Superbowl tailgate party at work last Friday. I tried to stick to chips and hotdogs and not a lot of dip. I did have some kind of veggie dip but I have veggie trays at home a lot.

I'm still unmotivated to keep working on my French.

Good news for my budget, I can put off gas until Thursday when I get my paycheck.  ^.^ That means I finish this week with $5 extra from my $60 or so? Nice! Not that bad for my first attempt.
I will likely change the writing goal to just be something creative. I stayed out of bed a lot today and got a good amount of sun with the nice weather. I'm proud of that! I think I'll make a fruit smoothie for breakfast tomorrow.

Yikes... so let’s start positive! I did really good on Saturday. Turns out jumping around at the edge of a mosh pit at a concert is insanely good exercise. I burned more calories than I think I ever have since buying my Fitbit and hit every one of my goals for that day, despite eating more than I should have. I definitely went ahead and rewarded myself for that.

The rest of the weekend though...not so great. I’ve been sooo inactive. On Sunday I think I was still sore from the concert so I didn’t take many steps at all and I ate way more than was allowed in my budget. I also helped a friend move into her apartment that night, but unfortunately by the time I got there she just needed help setting up WiFi, so not much activity there like I had anticipated.

Monday was a little better, but I was in a weird emotional funk, so I really just spent a lot of the day sitting around. I didn’t hit any excersise goals, but I at least managed to keep my food intake under control. I’ll have to tally up my points for each of those days (I should be more on top of that  :P) but I have a feeling I’m not earning too much this weekend.

I’m hoping now that I’m back at work I can get back on my normal schedule and get more points!

Minty magic you will get back at it....had no idea of the activity of a mosh pit...but crowds scare me.

Let's see how productive I can be today!

I got a concussion BOTH times I went to a Smashing Pumpkins concert, haha.  Once was because Billy Corgan threw his water bottle cap into the crowd and this overweight dude jumped on me and threw my skirt over my head so he could get to the bottlecap that fell at my knees.  We HAD been friends before that moment...  The second time I was in the mosh pit and I was jumping up and someone's elbow hit me as they went down, and my skull got in the way.  LOL  OWWWWWW I still remember the music being so loud I was like, hallucinating.

Well the universe must be throwing good energy of opportunity my way because I have had another interview with a 2nd company this morning and another called me to set something up next week!  I still am hoping and throwing all my wishes at the dream job but honestly anything that keeps my skills fresh will make me happy, as long as it's not commission-based sales!

Happy Wednesday everyone, we can get through our troubles!  My day started with my coffeepot dying after brewing only one little SPLART of coffee.  But it was okay because I climbed into the camping gear storage and found the camping coffeemaker.  I remain optimistic!  :D

I did just fine with my $60 budget!  ^.^ The $6 leftover will help me get a retro pony if my Target has them. Gas tomorrow is going to destroy my snack budget!
I'm going to have to find ways to stay active with the cold. The lovely lapse in winter temperatures helped motivate me somewhat, so I'm hoping Spring comes sooner rather than later. I was feeling good about my relatively low-acid foods today until the snack attack at work. Soo much sugar, that'll keep me up a bit. Back to smoothies and breads for me tomorrow.

Man this is my 3rd time I have done this post....it keeps going blank. I blame my poor iPad...it’s on its last life...haha.

Way to go lovesbabysquirmy on the interviews I am so glad things are coming your way. Wow the injury....so scary...but I am not big on loud noises.

I have a new set of wings ready to make. I am obsessed with this pattern. So cute and I have been having fun with colors....do you have any idea on colors?

I was super mad at my husband for not cleaning the kitchen....4 weeks ago. He got a two week off with no work, but I was going into work. So the kitchen was super bad and I was super mad. I do a lot of active work when I am made. Took me 3 hours to clean the kitchen...that bad as I live in a tiny studio apartment. So I was super active yesterday...but all that emotion I have calmed down. I am exhausted and not want to do anything. And I have a sweet kitty attached to me. So it might be a relax knit day...but I could use some insight.

I need some ideas for wings...I have the templates...but no idea what to do? Any ideas? Also any dibs hahaha

Spring ponies!   That is all I can suggest... we got more snow on top of our frozen wasteland, it is INSANELY slippery out there.

I agree with cold. BURRRRR!!!! below 0 I have 4 kitties on the bed...its that cold. They dont like to share.

I am doing ok on collecting points and not losing points. But I am.lacking in activity and piano. Starting to focus. I do have some work/practice as I will be presenting for the promotion soon.

Family is visiting so food and activity might be on the bad side. I really need to get it in gear....but not until a warm happy kitty gets off my lap :)

No phone call.  That's not supposed to be something to worry about.  However I do have an interview that I have to politely get out of, because it's one of those unsavory recruiting things, and I politely agreed to a meeting because I didn't have any other things at the time.  Now my calendar is filling up and it's definitely not something I want to no-show, but I also cannot waste the gas and time for a recruiter that is hiring for a job I will have to respectfully decline.

Hey it's ok to be pouty and grumpy cat all day. You worked and prayed so hard. You deserve to do what you feel. I bnb used to do pageants and if I didn't win I gave myself a day to be nasty, eat nasty, look nasty, and before the day was out I would start thinking better, I got motivated, and saw how mysteps could lead me in the direction I wanted to go.

Big hugs....maybe another secret door will open and you will discover it's the path you should be on. You did great and nothing b.c. to get down on. Yourself about.

Hugs ponyfan. Just popping in is a good step. Hiding from the thing that feel bad admit let's you forget. You may not be motivated in the goals you set, but I bet you are motivated in other things...posting here makes me happy and helps me smile. I know there is more.

So sorry to hear about the job lovesbabysquirmy. :( I hope another good opportunity will present itself to you in the near future!

I need to do a better job a counting my points on a daily basis. I'm doing pretty good, but if I don't get 10/10 I forget to give myself any points so they can add up! :P

I did weigh myself today and I'm down 5 pounds!  :frolic: I'm already halfway to my weight goal! I know its not a huge amount to lose, but I'm seeing that working in small increments is much better for me than saying "I need to drop 40 pounds asap". I'm hoping I can keep up this energy I've had, I'm starting a new position in 2 weeks and my whole routine is going to be thrown off for a while, but I'm trying to think of ways I can still be healthy in the new schedule!

I'm sure your motivation will come back Ponyfan. :) I think the cold weather makes meeting goals difficult. I know on really cold days I don't want to get out of bed at all. :P If it helps maybe you can set some really easy goals for yourself that you know you can meet mixed in with your big goals? That's kind of what I did and it definitely helps keep me going on days where I really didn't do as much as I should have.

Ehh my initial plan is falling apart. I'm just trying to stick to my budget thing, but that's ok. The cold makes it hard to be active and I just want to lay all day. I'm focusing on trying to eat good food right now in the meantime.
I've decided to lump over my savings from each week as part of my budget because with my gas spending this week I would have...$1 otherwise for dinner. I don't need to starve myself for an evening on top of not eating enough calories during the day so it's good that I have $6 from the week previous.

Trying to get the wii set up so I can improve my activity...but sigh hubby is particular and I am more than likely to get shocked or knocked over the tv....so hopefully soon.

very pretty painting work Pokeyonekenobie

I'm still here.  Stressed about the job hunt, I won't hear back from several people until the end of the month... and I have to still keep going and pretending like I don't have those opportunities.

Tried to find myself something to buy at the American Girl boutique here... but I was in the store for over an hour and I didn't find anything worth my money.  Too bad because DH and I agreed to buy our own presents for our 11th anniversary - we always do, he always renews his video game subscriptions LOL, I tend to buy other things... but I couldn't find anything to buy.  And then Kiddo says to me, "You have enough dolls.  You should enjoy the ones you have."  YEAH THANKS.

So DH promised me that we will build a dollhouse when he finishes up the last corner of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.  we will have the wood left, and all the tools, so.... that will satisfy me plenty.  I am rather irritated at not having all my dolls out on display, especially as I don't know how many I own now.  LOL I just buy whoever  I find at thrift stores.

Sigh it has been frustrating. So I am out of the promotion but they might open it up for year 2020, but more factors will hinder the possibility. So things are very tight. We barely pay our Bill's, and the loss has bumbed me out. I am still pushing, just have other things to consider.

No matter what happens hubby and I will be moving. Rent is way to high for our apartment(its barely the size of a dorm room) and paying high rent is not helping us save. The big issue that stands before us is where we move.

It could be close, as I like the area, or across 2 states near my parents, or one state over near my hubby's brother...sigh up in the air is crazy, but time is not on our side. It will happen by Aug. Or possibly June!!!

I am tired of moving, I am tired of fighting for jobs, and I just want my own place, so I will I have to sell like crazy. So all my goals will change to selling and saving. I will be down sizing. No new yarn as I have to even down size the stash!!!

I am frustrated, nervous, sad, and excited all in one.

got my phone call.  seriously annoyed, they were all like, "well, Head Office doesn't have your contract yet, so we'll just put you on volunteer contract and pay you when it comes through".

NOT the best start to things!  I hope my #2 choice comes back with an offer that I can happily accept, because driving an hour's commute to a job that I will have to jump through hoops to get paid is no fun.  :(

*twitch*  We will see what happens next week! My DH also has an interview on Monday so hopefully good things will come of this!  even though it seems a little disjointed and crazy at the moment... HAPPY FRIDAY PEOPLE!

Crowning_Glory13 I hope things start looking up for you soon.  There's always another path, we just might not always see it until it opens up in front of us.

Well...I started the day with a migraine and as I was going down the stairs to change over my laundry, my foot slipped and I felt my knee pop out and back in as I fell down the last three steps.  So after a trip to the ER I'm not supposed to put any weight on that leg for a few days.  Guess I'll be working on some of my computer projects for the next week or so.

I saw the Orthopedic doctor today and he suspects I have torn my ACL.  So I'm waiting for the hospital to call me to set up an MRI appointment so we can see for sure.  I would rather they call me today so I can get it set up than tomorrow because I'm going to attempt going back to work tomorrow (I can push myself around in my desk chair at work  :P ) and the sooner I get it set up the sooner I can get my knee fixed.  Since I can't really bend my knee far enough it makes it hard to paint or work on my scrapbook because my supplies are lower down on the shelf so that's on hold until this gets fixed, too.

Climbing myself up....a step at a time. I gave myself some direction and got a good pep talk from my brother. Now I just have to get motivated. Friday is my Monday...I know weird, so I am going to take the time to map out my steps and plan.  I hope plan and direction will help me progress. I have stepped out of my dark hole and not want to be there again.

You know if you are not motivated for your goals, try new ones!! Or better yet cheer other on. Ponyfan you have always been an amazing cheerleader.

So happy thoughts everyone.

Ok inspired, let's get motivated! All you have to do is post and you win a prize from me!!!! No matter if you are USA or International!!!

All you have to do is start your post with #Positive and post one positive thing that has happened since Healthy Pony started. You get a second entry if the post comes with a picture.

It does not have to be goal related. Maybe you got pony mail! Maybe you saw a rainbow. Sunshine on snow, or a birthday...ANYTHING!!! it just needs to be positive. It can also be something you posted earlier.

We are losing conversation and I think if we just let our goals go and post awesome things we just might get on track. Even if we never get on track, how awesome would it be to read all these positive posts!!!!

#Positive. I received a very dingy baby moondancer. Now when I saw her picture I want to fix her up!!! Something about moon dancer just makes me smile. A wonderful pony friend...nudge nudge wink wink was selling her, but let me have her for free!!!! Not even shipping. It was a wonderful heartfelt moment as I was having a struggle. I got her today(delayed due to blizzards and cold) I instantly prepped her to get clean! I knew I could make her beautiful. And the kindness was so heart warming, she will always remind me to pay kindness forward!!!

Let's talk positive!

I can sort of walk with the crutches now, but I don't dare without the knee brace on.  I survived my MRI this morning and I have an appointment Monday to see what it says.  Even though I can't do any real exercise-y things like I'd planned due to this injury I managed to upload a ton of Pokemon coloring pages to Deviantart before Pokemon Day.  I've finished the Kanto Region Pokemon and am going to start work on Johto next. I'm going to see how many Pokemon I can get done before the Shield/Sword games come out later in the year.

Gold Stars to everyone working on their goals! (But you have to color it in yourself!)

So sorry to hear about the jobs lovesbabysquirmy and Crowning_Glory13. :( I hope something perfect will open up for you both soon!

#Positive! Since starting healthy pony I've really noticed myself developing healthier habits! even though I do have some off days, I can see I'm overall trending toward a more active lifestyle! Since I've started moving more I've felt much more awake and even less depressed! My family has started to notice my weight loss as well, so I feel very good about that!

I haven't been as active in posting lately because I just started a new position at my job this week! First week is just onboarding for new hires, and since I'm already familiar with the company I've been using this week to try and adapt to my new schedule. Off graveyards for a couple months and back to than land of the living (also back to traditional 5 day work weeks, blegh)! :P I think I may have a system down, I'm just maybe not getting as much sleep as I usually do. Overall I feel good though!

I agree with changing your goals as needed. I've tweaked mine a couple times as I've realized whats realistic and whats not. It's better to lower the bar a little and meet it than to miss and feel discouraged. you'll get to where you want to be eventually! :)

As a bonus, here is my point chart for the month of February. 190 points already! If I had just been a little more vigilant I could have already hit my 200 points goal! :P

Here is a picture of my beautiful new workplace.  Maybe it will cheer y'all up.

Well not exactly work, but this is right before you turn off the highway !

I am so tiiiiiiiiiiiiired.  This place is huge (over 250 acres) and we have to either walk or drive vehicles all over the site to get things done.  Oh and I did mention SNOW, insane amounts of SNOW and scary mountain highway driving in the SNOW where you can't see the road?  I came home from my first half-week of work (HALF WEEK!) and fell asleep for 12 straight hours.

Can I say that I have ZERO inclination to ever stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodges & Cabins now?  LOL  This place has lots of REAL horsies!  :frolic:

Pokeyonekenobie :  such a cute star!  Is that a water pokemon?  (I know nothing but some names....)

Ponyfan : how ya doing?  How is the French going?  I typed that out in French three times before realizing I have no idea how to say it...  LOL  Comment-alles t'etudies?  How is your learning going?  I give up on this... I was scatterbrained in Spanish enough the other day to translate, "The elephant eats Tide Pods".  really.

Minty_Magic : I like your chart.  Sometimes progress can only be defined by awareness!  If you're thinking about improvement, sometimes that's all you can do, think about it!

Crowning_Glory13 :  I admire your perseverance to be positive!  How is Baby Moondancer coming along?

*hugs to everyone else lurking*  Don't worry everyone, the Spring will be here soon!  Do you have any leafbuds yet?  Any early snow flowers?  We have sunlight returning to our lands here in the North.

That is amazingly beautiful drive. Snow is not fun, but its sparkly at times. Sounds like you are happy and that is so wonderful to see and read!

I have lost my job today:( went from promotion to let go today. Feeling really cruddy, but I did not go for junk food so that's a good step. Decided to distract myself with yarn.

I'm glad to hear that you are free from the nest of negativity that you were stuck in.  Take the blessing of flight and GO from here!  Creating things under your own hands, in your control is much better.  Go knit!

I should really be more positive but life feels overwhelming and negative right now.

Great picture lovesbabysqurimy. :) I haven't gotten back to my French lessons yet but I'm motivated to try again. I'm finding I can still read some French. One of the phrases my Duolingo constantly repeated in my lessons was "L'ours mange une orange" (The bear is eating an orange )

Crowing_Glory I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job but I'm glad you don't have to be in that negative environment anymore.

Great chart Minty Magic. I have a motivation jar that I put marbles in for each lap walked around the mall and each working day.

#Postive I haven't been able to work for the past couple of weeks and Thursday a coworker texted me to see if I was okay because she noticed I hadn't been in and missed me. :)  I often feel like no one at work notices if I'm around or not so I was really surprised that she texted me.

All I can say is wow.....I never realized that job was so negative. Hubby said it, but I am not always the best listener. But seeing all of you cheer that I am no longer at a negative job....it speaks a lot. You are right it was not a healthy place for me. There is a lot of change in my future....like June, but knowing I have caring people that are honest and caring...means more to me than i can type:)

Thank you all. Thank you.

I've been hiding from this thread. I'm back now!
Glory, you did mention a few times that the job was a huge source of stress. Blessing in disguise, maybe? Perhaps you will find something that is more right for you and a source of positivity. Yarn is always a good distraction.
I don't have much to report. Budget is so-so and I often forget what I am saving for in the first place...I just want it to be warm again so I can take a walk or do something active. I spent some time in the snow for a while a day or two ago, it was really nice to get outside.

I found out the results of my MRI today.  I have torn my ACL and damaged my meniscus.  I will speak to the actual surgeon tomorrow to see what my options are.  On the plus side, if I get surgery I'll have time to binge watch The Umbrella Academy on Netflix.

I just finished the umbrella academy...its a worthy watch. The no job things kind of stings, but I now feel bad all the stresses I brought on here with my posts...but sometimes uou have to get smacked in the face to learn...haha

For example today...I was putting on some nice clothes to go door to door job search and these were my big clothes..
.more like tight clothes.

So my goal is to daily 10min plus be active. My goal is to establish a routine. Each day is one step closer to a healthier me. And all of you can take that step too:)

I am probably losing weight with my new job... LOL  I work on the maintenance team at a ski lodge/summer camp in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta.
So there is a lot of physical labour!  And also remembering to watch for animals ... ;)  cuz there ARE cougars and bears and coyotes and wolves...
this job means getting up at 4:30 in the morning though!!!  oh and they feed us yummy food... today was chicken and waffles with spicy maple syrup, yesterday was pork chops, pasta and cheesecake...

If y'all are saying that The Umbrella Academy is a good show, I will watch it. Right now I am irritated because it's one of the auto-loading previews and I HATE those!!!  My husband has been asking since it showed up, and I'm like... ahhhhh no.  But maybe?

Yeah for yummy food and a active job. I was super active yesterday, today not so much. I have 4 kitties on the bed with me and that hasn’t happend since we got our 4th kitty last year. So I am letting the bond happen. Still in a job search. I think I have something lined up for Friday, but it really has not been confirmed.

I know I have to do some happy things to keep my head up, so I did the photo contest I have wanted to do for ever! I hope  you all enter and I hope this keeps me positive.

So knee surgery is a go.  (The other option is just to wear a knee brace every time I do anything that isn't sitting on my butt, which I'm sure wouldn't be annoying at all.)  I have to do some physical therapy first because apparently the mobility in your knee that you have before the surgery is the mobility you will get after surgery so they want me to try and get it as mobile as possible, but with the fluid on my knee preventing some of the straightening/bending, I'm really not sure how that's going to work but I'll give it a whirl.

Thinking positive, I'm hoping that I can get the surgery done in enough time to go to FanX in the middle of April, but I'm going to be cutting it close, I think.  My friend did offer to push me around in a wheelchair.

***Update***
I have surgery scheduled for the 26th.  Let the freaking out begin.   :freak:

Sugary...ok my phone just auto corrected Surgery to Sugary...haha. Surgery is scary but it will be ok. My mom had knee replacement surgery. They said her mobility would not improve as much but let pain....HAHA she is moving better and more. She has exercises she has to do, but she is moving even better. She takes flights like Ricky Balboa ...haha. prayers and good vibes.

I had some yogi tea. I like it. But this one was was supposed to give you Natural energy. I take that with little belief, but it was yummy and before I finished my cup of tea, I did the kitty litter, dusted the ceiling fan, took the dog on a walk, vacuumed the apartment, made the bed, and cleaned a pony!  Now I reheated the tea a few times, but I felt like I had energy!

Granted I get excited when I do photo contests!!!!

It's going to be super hard today:( it's only a temp job. It us to have a possibility for full time, but my luck with temps it never happens and really dont want it to happen. I did just have an interview so in Hope's something.

I really want to be my own boss. I would love crafting and doing the fair thing. Any advice?

So... been completely unsuccessful so far.
Super depressed this time of year, makes it difficult for me to do anything beyond go to work and get the basics accomplished.

I went off my low-inflammation diet for 2 weeks and gained 15lbs (mostly water weight) So I've spent this week going back to being strict with my eating and getting the inflammation out of my body. I think it should help with my mood too. I'll definitely be happy to just not have gained by the end of this healthy pony, even though Id like to lose about 8 more lbs since I started my diet on 4/27/18.

I do feel a bit better so far focusing on eating healthy. And have gotten more typical tasks done around the house like keeping up with laundry and dishes.

I'm hoping to be motivated to list and sell my unwanted MLP stuff. Ive got a bunch of PE accessories from a lot, as well as handful of G2s (since I splurged on some rarer ones) I'm going to a game convention (PAX) in a few weeks and Id love to have some extra spending money.

Ok here is my life. Hubby and I are hard working people. We pay bills on time. Eat little when we have no money for food, if we have money we save, but we are in an apartment. Rent is higher than a house payment, but sadly no bank gave us a loan for a house. We only wanted a 1 bedroom home. We moved for my job that promised more than what was delivered (sadly not in writing) and then lost my job. So we have lost a lot of savings this year. We couldn’t get a house loan even though we have A plus credit. In short broke. Sigh we get by. We might have to move back in with the in-laws in June if something doesn’t change. We have till June.

This is not to bring pity or sadness, I am stating this as I am doing what I can to save money. So I am clearing out anything I can. Meaning I need to sell. Because I love my Healthy Pony Peeps, I am offering big discounts for you. If you see my trades/sales or want something custom down, you get a special discount. Just tell me what you want and put Healthy Pony in the pm subject. If anyone is not in healthy pony and does this, they get a fun discount too:)

I may never save enough for a down payment on a home, but if I could collect some funding I can get help from my family.

Well I fell of the wagon big time.

I am challenging myself. I am going 40 days with out spending money...in my dark, depressed and very scared state I ran off twice to buy fast food. A horrible thing I have been doing for years. I was close to beating it, but I feel my addiction is similar to smoking. You do really well get a taste a small a panic and you just want one last puff/taste...and you fall off.

Well no more. Today is not my day 1. It is my day 0. We have 40 days left. I will count the days and hope I can go 40 days and not spend anything! I challenge myself. No matter what has happend I will report. I will live others as they post as this is healthy pony. Trying to be the best you, and trying different ways to do so.

Even if I do this alone, I will suceed. I will keep this going, as healthy pony keeps me from doing the worst to myself!

We are half way through, it is time to try!!!!

Photo contest is going on !!! Please enter!

Day 1.

This should be an easy day, as I have no car. It's my day off so my hubby has the car. I am doing something fun and then making a list of what to do today to stay busy. My big one is his all my cash in a wallet my husband sees. I will feel less desire to spend when that is our save for house fund.

Right now I want to ask for pizza...I just got done with breakfast:( I know it's my stress and emotions that causes this issue. It stems from a lot of bullying and since I am away from all the bullies, I almost I feel I want to bully myself....sad how much one can learn about themselves.

Alright day one...

Post Merge: March 12, 2019, 10:04:37 AM

I really want to save up for a house, so I am having a huge sale on my wings. I am making more of them too:) gotta make room.

Giving you all a heads up. I need to save space so I am having a huge sale on all my wings! My eBay will not show it, but any wing you offer on eBay or on the arena is only $5 plus shipping. This will last for 20 days:) I also combine shipping. Other items will get discounted in the future too.

I did it...day 1. I have to go to the post. I need the power to not give in...sigh.

I sincerely hope things start to turn up for you soon Crowning_Glory13! I know you’ll be able to remain strong through all of is though! I’ve been saving up some of my smaller good day rewards to get some wings from you, so once I get my paycheck on Friday I’ll definitely be doing some shopping ;)

As for my progress I’m a little frustrated with myself. So close to so many 10/10 days this week, but I seem to always be over my calorie budget by about 50 calories!  I’m getting in so many more steps and active minutes than I used to though, so that’s good! I’m hoping if I can push that just a little more that might fix my calorie problem too! :P

Minty magic you are amazing....you have been close to your goals and almost have daily 10s!!!! That is so amazing. I am so proud of you.

Now you know what is holding you from a 10 and now you can strive for it! So amazing and it warms my heart. I sometimes feel I should give up healthy pony, and then your story comes by and I feel so glad I keep it going.

Day 2. Doing ok. I had to drive to the post, and no desire to stop anywhere. I ate breckfast late, and tried to leave early...so one bullet down. But it is reaching a second. I am feeling hungry and sad, so I know it’s an emotional deal. I am making some tea to help calm me and fight the urge.

I can do this.

Minty Magic, if there is a wing you want or a design you would like made I can hold for you too. With me putting them on sale, I would hat a desired wing be missed by you. Or I can start the design process while we wait...I think you are in my photo contest too. So you just might win it too:)

Keep trying everyone’s!

I got down day 2!

Now I have no cash in my purse. (I use cash because I can hid my crap addiction from my hubby) but I do get sneaky.

I work tomorrow and it's not a harmonious situation....very stressed and fearful of a lot of thing. I have 5 days left, until my new job starts. We are so tight on funds I have to stick it out.....so here is hoping I have a day 3

Well I made day 3...kind of. I bought nothing for me but coffee for my coworkers they might pay me back, but I felt It was a nice thing to do:)

Post Merge: March 15, 2019, 05:02:26 PM

Well I bought a coffee today it was kind if a payback to someone who got me a coffee. So I am ok with that. I almost faultered but resisted today....

We moved the last week of June, and now we get notified that we need to tell them by Wed if we stay or not. So now it's up in the air on the life of my family. I picked up a temp job since I lost mine. I do what I can to make/save money when I can. We have lost a lot of our savings and it's a toss on moving back to the inlaws or find a new apartment as we cant afford this one anymore.

I am just sad because my hubby stated he looked forward to living in the area. But he feels he cant find a job worth it to stay...I dont think he has looked much....sigh I can only say so much.

My new official job starts Thursday, so if I do really well we might just find a different area to live...but fear having to sign a year by most apartments require as no back will give us a loan and no funds for a deposit...

Just going to relax and hope an answer comes to me:/

To be on a lighter side...I have to go to the bathroom so bad but my 2 cats are snuggling on my lap in all cuteness

I am just freaking out, want junk food so bad, need to save, feel horrible...blag it's been a rough year...sigh. my rainbow will come...just want it to say do this and you will have mi fear...:p

Day 4....I can do this!

You can do this, I believe in you!  :cheer: Although things may be bad right now, that means a positive change has to be around the corner! The tough part is just making it through the storm. Since you guys need to move and haven’t had luck finding jobs in the area you’re in now, maybe this is just an opportunity to find a dream job in a different area! :) No matter what we’re all rooting for you here!

I’ve been doing pretty good with my exercise lately! My coworkers have become aware that I’m trying to get in more steps so they are holding me accountable now. :P Anytime we’re on break they always ask how many laps I’ve taken around the floor or how many stairs I’ve climbed. Some days I might even get someone to circle the floor with me on one of our breaks! It’s definitely kept my motivation up!

Now I just need to pass my licensing exam on Tuesday and I’ll be officially promoted to my new role! ^.^

Hugs squirmy. We are both on a storm. I will be doing extra prayers for us all. Day 4 is down and so is day 5. Hubby has the car so I can go any where and Ihave the day of! So if I want to buy fast food I have to walk...yeah no. Day #6 have to hit the post office so it could be a test.

Well our apartment wants us out by May...and we have no clue what to do. We have time to think but not much.

Long time no post. :P
Things sound really rough for you, Glory, but I know you are strong and can fight whatever life throws at you!
I've been so-so at budgeting but I've been focusing more on eating what is good for my gut. I was able to pick out plenty of low-acidity foods when I helped grocery shop and I'm looking forward to helping out with the next grocery trip. I did eat some questionable foods lately but if I take tums I'm usually alright.

I have been prepping things to do while I'm down after my surgery.  I've heard differing accounts of how long I'll be down (ranging from 2 weeks to 6 weeks--I think 6 weeks would be pure torture!) so I've gotten some painting projects together, some books, and video games and I'm working on putting together a box of scrapbooking.  And I always have writing and other computer projects to work on.  Since FanX is about a month away I'm also trying to get everything together for that (with the exception of clothing) so that I can go if I'm up for it. I've got a trip to my sister's house this weekend and then my surgery as soon as we get back next week so it's starting to get down to the wire getting stuff together since it takes me longer to do things than it normally would.  I hate that they made me wait so long to have this surgery.  I think waiting for it to happen is worse than the surgery is going to be.  >_<

Good vibes, prayers, and happy healing for your surgery.

Day 6 might not make it...I just feel so stressed out and I tend to feel better with junk food. It's more of a female thing.

Post Merge: March 19, 2019, 05:20:59 PM

Yup failed...I did feel better for a few hour and I am horrible sick from the stress...but that just means tomorrow is day 1

Post Merge: March 20, 2019, 06:08:30 AM

Day 1...but a huge stress is gone today. We can stay in our apartment for another year. I hate being locked in b.c. to a year, but it's better than being rushed.

My job goal is to go back to teaching and focus on piano and voice lessons. I just need my job to come through this week. It's just nice to know I am here till 2020 and a lot of things can change.

I feel I can plan now. Work on myself and start to repair a lot of myself and fix the damage life can put on someone. I feel hopeful.

I had hope, I had drive, and my day just fell apart. Tomorrow is another day...I start at 1.

Post Merge: March 21, 2019, 06:35:11 AM

A new day has started, a new chance to learn, and maybe just maybe it will get better.

Post Merge: March 21, 2019, 07:26:43 AM

Back to day 1. I pulled out my tracking and I have list 10 pounds...since January. That made me feel good. Trying to focus on other things in Hope's of keeping me positive. I know the stress is bad, mostly out of my control, but its affecting me. I have no options for medical help at this point. My hubby is my rock, my fur babies keep me moving.

Day 1. My task today is find a positive in the day.

Going to post my dream. Maybe I can get focused. My dream is to teach music lessons at a more full time status. I did this a long time ago, and I can get back to it.

Sorry to unload here. I dont have much options and this tends to help me.

Day 2...should be easy. No one to tempt me with food or drive near it at work today..so it could be good. My temp job is terrible at training so I am lazy at work, which i hate doing. I have 20 days till my other job can hire me....yup it is on count down. Now that my housing situation is solidified,  no moving the stress is easier. I just have to have patience as proper procedure are taken.

Had fruit today for breakfast getting back to healthy eating. Had my first blood orange...it was interesting

Also other job sent an offer, I accepted, now I have to figure out the TWO jobs and have sleep in between and see my family as my poor husband is already freaking out over my absence.

Ooh de lally ooh de lally ,golly what a day...

Squirmy you and ponyfan always have something positive no matter what you do. It's always a great view. Good vibes prayers to get better soon. 2 jobs takes a lot of juggling. I did that for 5 years. ...might do it again soon.

Made it through day 3. It was hard but my hubby stopped on his lunch break so I had no time to get off the wagon! Yeah! Its my weekend for day 4 and 5...so if I want to be bad I have to walk. Hehe.

I am developing a plan. I want to loose 5 pounds and play piano over my weekend. If I do both (loose 5 will take longer than a weekend) but once I do I get to wear heels to work. I love heels and it's my reward!

My plan is to make little goals and reward each time I reach them. Just fun things like heels or try on my favorite outfits.

My hubby said something very sweet and made me realize some of my struggle is how I look at myself. Well if I work towards with positive rewards I can help myself not spiral.

Thanks for being my sounding board everyone

Surgery is tomorrow.  Still a little freaked over it, but not as much as before.  I think now I'm to the point that I'm tired of waiting so let's get the stupid thing over with already. :pout:

But I have lost 8 pounds since I hurt myself last month so I'm hoping that trend continues.  I have a bunch of stuff ready to go to keep me busy while I'm down since I'm supposed to keep my leg straight with no weight on it for two weeks.  (Netflix bingeing here I come.)

Looks like everyone else is working hard so keep up the good work, kids! :ohyeah:

Best wishes pokeyonekenobie! I hope you have a speedy recovery! :)

I’m also glad to hear things are starting to settle a bit for you crowning_glory13! I’m glad you can stay where you are for now and have some time to come up with a plan! :)

As for me, I’ve officially passed my state licensing exam, so I will be selling insurance now! :cheer: it’s definitely not what I planned on doing with my life, but it’s a really great job opportunity and some part of me actually finds insurance interesting?? I actually think I might stick with the industry for a while.
I got the highest score in my training class, so I’ve been helping my peers who didn’t pass on the first try study for their second try. My classmates also seem to like my artwork, even though I’ve just been doing littlemstick figures and doodles for training posters  The group of people I’m training with are excellent and all really sweet, so I’m feeling thankful for my job a the moment. I know it’s not easy to find a positive environment like this in a workplace.

My food habits haven’t necessarily been the best, but I’m upping my overall exercise which helps offset that a little bit :P Now that I’m not studying there’s really no excuse for me to be bad anymore, so I’m going to work on getting back on track!

Into magic I am so happy for you. Yes happy work environment is a wonderful thing. Reading your happy post brings me such joy. I know each state is different but understanding insurance is very helpful. Might call you up:) hehe.

I have become vocal at my job. I am professional and proper, but my job is really missing that even though I am demoted it's still complicated for me. I have 4 pages of notes on what I need to do for my job. And that is not all of it. I could be called into the big office and it could be the end of my job. I have 17 days before my other job starts. Not able to go that long with no income:( I will jump to a waitress job if that happens. I can work nights when the other starts.

Played piano for 15min wow I am rusty. I might have to perform April 11 so I better get to practicing.

Things are slow and I just have to trudge along. Each day is step closer to a better tomorrow

And back to day 1:( sigh. I choose something healthier but still spent money when I dont need to:( we begin again. April is the last month to keep going.

Not sure if I will keep this up after April. Feels like more work than fun.

Day 1 for me. I got a job lined up for April 11th. I am going to a horrible job till then. I have to pay Bill's. I am scared and excited for this job. They want to give me an elevated position but I gave to go through training. It's all commission based so I am a bit nervous.

I am grateful to work even if the environment is toxic and poorly managed. But only 16 days left!!! Things I have to do to pay Bill's. I have only worked for less than 2 weeks. Been in the office twice, and left alone to figure out how to do the job....sigh...sorry for the word vomit.  I just have to get it out.

Day 1 for me. I am dragging slowly to get ready for work. This way I have no time to stop for junk. If I reach 7 days I can get a blind bag pony with all the confetti. They are so darn cute. Been more active with it nice out.

Sorry you're in a toxic environment, CG!  I was in one for 5 years and the best day of that job was the day I quit without notice.  (What was funny about it was that one of my friends that worked there told me that the day after I quit the manager and assistant manager were trying to figure out my job-because they actually didn't know how to do my job--or theirs for that matter, which is why everyone went to me when they had a question and they didn't like that, which is why they picked on me---and she said they looked like monkeys trying to figure out a computer.)

My surgery went well.  I actually hadn't damaged my meniscus like they thought.  The damage they saw in the MRI was shredded bits of my ACL, so apparently I managed a bang-up job destroying that.  Now I have a cadaver graft so I've told my nieces and nephews that I'm part zombie now and they think that's the coolest thing ever.  Since the cadaver bit is in my knee it is literally the walking dead now.   So far I'm not in pain but the nerve block hasn't completely worn off yet so we'll see how that goes once it's gone.

My first day of Job #2 starts on Monday.  I hope I am still not sick by then... everyone I know has gotten this "viral/bacterial" thing.  I am now in the feverish and sore throat phase!  Yay.

I talked myself out of a frivolous purchase I almost made to "reward" myself with for  getting the first job.  However... I stressed endlessly about buying the item (it was rare, I wanted to debox it) and my husband was irritated that it was more expensive locally (no shipping or Paypal fees) so I decided it wasn't worth it.  Woo for restrained spending!  And my second paycheque from this job should be rolling in by Friday!  Yay!

I got to keep my day 1. I had no cash on me to cheat!!!! Wahoo! I wont have time today to cheat so yeah day 2 ! For the first time I have a friend that invites me out. It is normally just the hubby and I. So it's cool to have a friend, but they have a pool..I better get a healthier self image if I want to swim.

Here are things that make me happy.
Someday I will be a full time private music teacher
Someday I will win a state title in pageantry
And I have love and support from all of you and wonderful people around me.
There is always someone honest to help you think clearly. It may be shocking and hard to not feel hurt, but it's the best thing that could have happened.

I am striving for positive posts. Not just in what I post, but what I see in all of you. Some are just reading and they deserve to feel happy when they read.

Awesome work, everyone!

I don't have a scale to weigh myself on, but I can physically see a difference in the tone of my legs with this new job.   So something is happening, health-wise! :D

I was blessed by the universe with a local rare find of a AG doll that has been long retired - now Samantha can have her best friend come home to live with her.

DH and I sat down and estimated that with my new 2 jobs, and his new FT job, we should be able to knock out the majority of our debts in only 9 months.  all the interest rates are going up, so this is a good time to stop giving the banks free money that isn't theirs.

Feeling defeated. I was hoping to just have my life on the track I wanted, but no. I hope I have some time to think...I am being lazy and sad. The fact that it is April 2nd and it is snowing...I was liking spring.

On a good note I played piano for 30min yesterday. I need to improve on that. I am not sure if I am on day 5 or 6, but I have not spent money on junk food. That's a huge win. I have to make it to Sunday before I can get a pony..see if I could push my streak even longer:)

I got to paint today.  Yay!  My mom brought me the projects I'd set aside and I finished some, but don't have access to my camera in order to take a picture (it's all the way upstairs and I'm sure the battery is currently dead).  So pictures will probably have to wait until I'm allowed to put weight on my leg.
Title: Re: Healthy Pony New Year

Had a dr appt yesterday, I'm allowed to start putting weight on my leg and the dr wants me to work on getting off the crutches completely.  I have PT set up for next week and someone coming in about an hour to measure me for a custom brace.  I have to wear a brace for about 8 more weeks so hopefully the new one will be more comfortable (especially since I still have to sleep in the thing).  FanX is in a week so with any luck I'll have the new brace and be able to walk a little bit without help by then.  I'm still planning to take a wheelchair just because the building is huge and there's no guarantee that I'll find a place to sit when I need to if I don't have it.

I hope everyone is doing okay.  Just keep swimming!  :fish:
