I was searching for a new image of Bo Sheep from Garfield and Friends that wasn't a DVD cover for Garfield Wiki and I found...this cute sheep toy. But the carriage it comes with looks quite familiar...

Yes, a toy that does not have horses in it stole the Crystal Princess carriage mold in order to make it a "generic sheep in a cute wagon" toy. Here are pictures of the original carriage sets that this toy is copying:

It isn't Hasbro. I found this on a random Chinese website that wasn't TaoBao while searching for an image for a Wikia page of a US Acres character (since that page used a DVD cover with 2 other characters on it), and it came up. It has no logos on the package, so it is a generic New York City street sellers-type toy. You know, the bootlegs that play random music (mostly Aqua's music) and have flashing lights in them.

Sometimes toy companies will sell moulds or designs on to other companies if its a no longer in production, and never will be again, kind of product...but its even more common for other manufacturers to completely and blatantly steal designs I would guess on the latter.

What a cute find though and so well spotted.

Yep! Some companies don't buy or sell the patents to their mold. For instance my company sells the exact same flashlight thing as another company because they didn't buy the rights to the mold. Ours is prettier

They're from a Chinese cartoon called Pleasant Sheep and the Big Bad Wolf or Happy Yang-Yang or something to that extent. Should note that it also has a notable following with the Chinese crowd in South East Asia outside of China. However, I just find it blah. Watched a few episodes, can't get into it.

OMG  It's Xi Yang Yang (which actually just translates as happy sheep, but for some reason it's english name is pleasant goat and big big wolf).  Me and my kids are obsessed with this show!  I don't exactly know why we are, we just are.  I think I may absolutely have to buy that toy!
