Springtime / Easter Fluttershy's Rarity?

Is the Springtime (Easter) Fluttershy HTF? I've noticed quite a few ads for her that are quite pricey... but where I am, she's on sale for $3-4. (And since single brushables go for about $7-9 each here, that's quite a markdown in price!)

There seems to be a surplus of her here!

I think in general, people get really excited about the 'possible worth' of a pony that has been HTF online for 2 weeks, and they will overprice it to get a profit. I've seen this a lot with some G4s such as Lily Blossom, who appears on ebay pretty frequently but at an annoyingly high price, and apparently now with Honeybuzz.


 I've heard that distribution plays a big part as well- the price rose for people in a certain area because they can't find that pony anywhere and have to go online. So 'common' is a relative term. If you want to snag some Fluttershys on sale, you can always find out their worth by putting them for auction and seeing what the final bid is.

Good point. I already have a Fluttershy, and I guess I'd only buy her for myself if she was HTF... but I guess I should wait. I'd be angry at myself if she ends up like FS Applejack though Thanks Stardragon!!

Very few of the seasonal ponies get really pricey, so I would not go crazy buying extras unless you know someone who needs one and will pay you for her.

Canadian TRUs ordered and re-ordered the Easter Fluttershy... it was seriously the only pony on the shelves here for a month!    So I would say they are definitely not HTF.

I can still sometimes see a couple of Spring Fluttershy's around the stores here, so I wouldn't think it's really that HTF. I would say the Valentine's Pinkie Pie is harder to find in my opinion I had to order mine online (from TRU) because I got into FiM a couple months after it had been released I never got to see her on the shelves!

Your best bet to work out her worth to collectors is an ebay ended auction search - the $3-4 price tag she is selling for is very much what she is worth.

Thanks everyone for your replies! I guess I shall refrain from purchasing another Fluttershy then.

And Dee Kary, I only got back into pony collecting just after Wave 4 brushables were being pulled off shelves, so I too know how it feels to miss out on/catch up with earlier ponies.

I am going to say probably hard to find at stores now, but there were soooo many of them. There were so many in fact that stores around here that never get special edition or euro exclusives actually got these by the bucket load and sold them for discounted prices.

To sum up, I will say not rare.
