I've decided to downsize my massive collection to fund my new business. With a near complete g1 collection and rare internationals, I've calculated 20-30k. It was a hard decision, but the right one. I plan to keep my favorites. I've told myself I can always start collecting again down the road.
The problem is, i have no idea how to cope with letting them go. I walk into my pony room and am instantly filled with happiness. Then i remember they will be going to new homes and get depressed.
I'm asking has anyone here sold their collection. How did you cope? And why is it so damn hard to being attached to colorful plastic!

They bought a pony from me for $131 with shipping. The day it was sent, they claimed they didn't buy it. I confirmed that it was sent to their address and assumed they'd changed their mind. I told them to open a return when they received it. I never got it back and they just filed a unauthorized claim with paypal. I have proof it was delivered to the address they provided, so I'm not overly worried, but use caution.

I still find ponies at thrifts. no giants lots, usually just one or two here. 2 months ago I found a Baby Princess sparkle, but I usually go to multiple thrift stores several times a week.

Stalk the newly listed on Ebay. This is how I scored my Rapunzel for $20, Baby Gametime for $5 and Mimic for $5. Many more, but too many to list. Have to be fast.

I can't remember for sure, but my first pony was either So soft paradise or Masquerade. My fondest memory was debating on whether to buy Barnacle or Cheif. Mom kept telling me to hurry up. I ultimately decided on barnacle, because pirates!

It's a lot safer for sellers to use.

Negative feedback because you don't like the seller's political views? Seems harsh.

If it was over $250, you need signature confirmation. If not, as long as it shows delivered, you are safe. If she already opened a dispute there is not much else you can do except to provide the tracking number that shows delivered. Good luck! Packages are being stolen a lot in the winter.
