Feel kinda dissappointed (Blind Bags)

I have the complete set of wave 1 (except pink glitter twilight sparkle) in the usa version, but the complete wave 2 blind bags which is international.

I do have all colts from wave 3 and wave 4 international, with the international cards. I noticed, however, the wave 3 and wave 4 cards that are international are different from the usa version cards.

Here's the thing...what if they release wave 2 after all this in the usa? What am I suppose to do with the international version? Should I just go for the usa version to make it similar with the wave 1,3, and 4? Should I go for collecting international versions as well?

Need an expert's point of view here, since I'm a new collector and naive on this! I just wanna collect for fun...but with different versions, it feels like a chore

Honestly, if the blind bag pony is not different and the only difference is the card, I would not re-collect the US set

My view is that while collecting is great, when it starts to feel like a chore or a hassle, maybe you should ease up a bit. You don't ever want it to stop being fun! That's just my opinion though. Maybe only get international versions if it's a pony you really love-- or put other versions of what you've got on the back burner, slowly acquiring those and stretching it out so it doesn't seem so tedious.

I wouldn't bother unless you really wanted to make sure you had the cards.

For me, blind bags are about the ponies, not the cards, so there are some Wave 2 ponies that I bought without cards, because I really don't care. And along that line I purchased Wave 3 and Wave 4 overseas, so their cards are different.

If you really like the cards and want to distinguish the two sets, then go ahead and collect the USA set.

As for Wave 2, Hasbro has, as far as I know and have experienced, skirted the issue of releasing it in the US and I doubt there are plans for that, so that one isn't as big of a deal ?? but that is just me.

If you are just collecting for fun [as most of us do!] then I honestly wouldnt let it concern you.

Some people are completionists and do wish every variation and every release but unless you feel the need to do this - in which case you would be looking to own both the international and the US version of every wave [wow!] you should simply keep the ones you have I think

However, if at some point in the future the US did get wave 2, I am sure you could sell your international set and repurchase the US ones if you prefer to do so. Until and if they this even happens I would try not to concern too much!

I'm not too concerned about the cards myself and I prefer to avoid doubles. I wouldn't bother getting both versions unless you feel you need a lot of cash in your pocket to burn.

If you want all of the card versions, if a US version of the wave is released, I'm sure someone would sell them to you so you wouldn't have lots of toy doubles. Or would be willing to trade cards with you.

There are heaps of people who only want the ponies, and sell the cards and bags on ebay for next to nothing. Usually there are complete sets on there all the time. Just buy the US release cards and bags and have yourself all of both, without all the effort!
