Author Topic: Re-listed after I paid on eBay (?) (Read 1940 times)

Yesterday I won two auctions, paid for them, and the seller re-listed the items. I can't figure out why she would do this. Clearly I won and paid immediately. I sent her a message but haven't heard back yet. Should I contact eBay? Not for sure how to contact them exactly for this issue. Your thoughts are welcome.

Is it possible they had two of the same items? I only ask because without knowing exactly what the items were, it's hard to tell exactly why they relisted right away? It's definitely something to be worried about though

I kinda doubt it. It was for big brother hats. They used the same pics, same description, etc. and I haven't gotten any money refunded. I don't want my money just the hats

I am pretty sure I found the auctions and you most definitely have reason to be concerned.

I would maybe shoot her another message and give her 24 hours to respond. If you hear nothing from her then I would file an item not received dispute and report her here for being a non-performing seller ...http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/report-trading.html

The thing unfortunately is nobody , not even ebay can force the seller to ship the item to you..............They probably didn't get the amount they wanted from your sale, so stupidly did the wrong thing and relisted. Hopefully this is not the case for your sake and it's simply a mistake on her part. Please keep us posted as it seems she has quite a few pony things listed.

*edit to add* She also has relisted a few big brother bandanas that sold recently

hmmm..this looks worrying. If it was for new items then I would say that they probably had more than one and just relisted without taking new pics..but this...looks suspcious- especially as the person has not contacted you in response yet

. I would go with Ponyladys advice if the seller doesn't contact you to confirm they have more than 1 lot of these soon. I really hope they aren't a dodgy seller and you get your hats!

I hope the seller didn't relist your items after you paid and that you get your big brother hats. I do know there is one honest seller on Ebay that is selling G4 ponies that has several of the same pony for sale and a few days after one sells they list another one with the exact picture, wording and everything.

I think I found the seller you are talking about also and I agree with Ringlets and Ponylady that it looks suspicious. I also looked at her feedback and although she has lots of positives for selling Barbie dolls. I see what could be considered a false positive on her feedback for Princess Pony hats.

I think you should follow Ponylady's advice. Please let us know how it turns out.

I heard back from the seller, she said she has two sets of these. I hope that is the case, I guess it seems a little strange to me that she'd end up with so many sets but it does happen. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.

I've ever only had this happen with G4 Minty and they used the same everything to relist her. mine came fine, but I'd still ask the seller.

Hopefully she really does have two sets. I don't think it is too incredible, I mean my mom often bought my sister and I the same ponies so we wouldn't fight over them.

I remember once that I bought an extremely rare doll- and then the seller popped another one using the same picture on ebay.de. Of course I freaked out just a little and sent some very concerned emails to the seller. It turns out she really did have two. Boy did I feel sheepish...

But I would definitely ask her what shipping status is and what your tracking number is. If by some unlucky "coincidence" the items never get to you- well then at that point I would probably suspect the seller of re-selling the same items to try and get a better price.

Yeah that's a good point, sisters might want the same thing. She told me she would mail them today. I hope she includes the tracking number so I can feel more at ease. At least she got back with me today.

Just an update, I got my hats in the mail! So happy, it completed my big brother hats, and I didn't expect them so fast. All my worrying for nothing. Now we know she is a good seller!
