I was reading through the entire transcription of the TFW2005's coverage of the Hasbro Investor Event and a few things jumped out at me about MLP:

What do you think it means for My Little Pony?

Personally, I think they are going to take the MLP brand in two marketing directions. 1) For Little Girls 2) for older girls (like monster high crowd and older). I feel like they are going to come out with more merchandise geared towards nostalgia and fashionable pony endeavors. I mean, the latest campaigns have been primarily with the 3-5 year old in mind such as the wedding and the princess coronation.  I don't think we will see much at this year's Toyfair because they are going through some big changes and additions. But that is just my speculation.

The newly packaged, basic G4 ponies are starting to show up here. I just picked up a set and they all have DVDs. I just noticed some people showing off new purchases and they don't have DVDs (mostly in Europe).

Do they only come with DVDs in the US and no dvd in Europe?Are both versions available in the US?

What versions have been found where?

It's kind of silly but I just wanted to share anyway.

Even though we were hit pretty hard with the storm, my office decided to go ahead with its annual Halloween costume contest and breakfast. Everyone gets super into it and dresses up. Some of the bosses bring in their kids in costume as well (super cute). Well I was surprised to see one of their daughters dressed up as none other than Abbey! I was so excited, she even brought in her Abbey doll to show people who she was. I got a chance to talk to her about her costume, she had the wig and boots, the whole thing. I asked if Abbey was her favorite her reply: " I like Abbey, but Cleo is my favorite. I wanted to dress up as her for Halloween but my mom said it was inappropriate because my belly would be showing." Too cute.

I know this sounds weird, but I was surprised to find out a little girl (8ish) loved Cleo. I remember when they made her out to be mean in the beginning of the franchise and wondered if any girl liked her but I guess they did a good job turning around her personality.

You guys have any cute MH related Halloween stories? Its not too late to share.

I haven't bragged in ages so I figured I'd share some things I have found at tag sales over the past month (so technically September and October brags)  and a few surprises! I was surprised at how much I have found.  I even got a pony from work!

First set came from a large, multi-seller yard sale. They sale was light on the G1's but I did manage to find one and she was in pristine condition.  G3.5 Scootaloo is for sale if anyone is interested.

I love the Car Pinkie Pie. She was mint condition, the seller said her daughter accidentally got two so it wasn't even played with. The most fun $5 dollars I ever spent.

I came into work one day and saw this cutie on my desk. I was ecstatic! It was such a sweet gesture. She was cleaning out her parents basement and found her. I hope she finds more. I was so happy.

I didn't see a thread regarding this already so I figured I would take a poll.

What is the best way to open G4 blind bags? I want to keep the bags as in tact as possible.

Personally I don't need to even take the cards out. I just need a way to slide the pony back in and out of the bag. (I wish I could just teleport the ponies out if I could lol)

Is it better to do the top, bottom or back? What tools do you use (exacto blade,  scissors, bare hands, etc) ?

So I like to keep my G4's MIP, so the most annoying thing is having the DVDs covering most of the pony in the box. For the last few sets I managed to find both the DVD and non DVD versions of the ponies, but for some reason I can't find Cherry Pie or Diamond Rose without DVDs.

Has anyone found them without DVDs? Approximately when and what stores?

What about releases after those two (if anyone has found them yet)?
