I'm not around in Nirvanas much...
And I did do a search, and didn't find anything on this question...it may seem a bit too simple but I have one here who is missing most of the hair and would like to know:
On ponies who have 1 stripe in their hair, how is the stripe set into the hair?
On ordinary unicorns and others from china/hk and all, they'd have the stripe set "away" from their other 2 rows of hair. It would be extra hair. Like a very small third row, generally.
But this is Brazil Ribbon, and I can see she used to have a stripe.
There is literally 1 follicle of it remaining. Her entire row2 of mane is out.
What I think:
The stripe is set into only Row 1 of the mane, and it's clearly 'in place' of her main hair color. Like, the color is interrupted for the stripe, then continues after.
What I can't know:
Is the stripe ALSO in her other row, or is the other row just her mane color & the stripe is meant to 'lay on top'. There are no photos with the mane lifted.
I would bet she has 1 whole row ordinary hair, then, the stripe interrupts her other row.
But I could be wrong...and I don't want to fix her wrong, either...so here I go with asking the experts.
Her hair color is DH Tennisball, and the stripe would be Firebird, right?
I was very surprised by Tennisball being such a good match. It wasn't created (I don't think) by DH to match anybody that I knew of, but it is reeeeely good. (In photos that Ribbon looks like she has Surprises' color Electric Banana, but when you get both them together Ribbon's is quite greener than that. It is a distinct color all its own.
Thanks for any help with this question, I'm sure baldy Ribbon will be much appreciate also
