I think H is the little roof over the bird's nest from the top of the house from the vintage Littlest Pet Shop set "Garden Tag Pets." Had that as a kid :)

http://www.vintagelpscollector.com/Collections/petsmove.htm

That's it for sure! There were some of the other pieces from that set in the lot. Thank you for the help!!

I found the cat. It is Barbie after all but a different thing than I was thinking of.

This is what I was thinking of:

This is what it is:

Phew I thought I was going nuts for awhile there. I could have sworn they were Barbie but I was like 3 or 4 when I got them.

Thank you both so much for the help!

My first guess for C is the smooshes toy line, sadly ghost of the doll has no pictures for a racoon named bandit, or the thing it came with.

Oh I know the one you're talking about! He comes with a little tree trunk  ^.^

I'm not sure the cat is Barbie. I thought the Barbie pets with tails like that were bigger and had the letter B in a heart on the rump. Are there any maker marks on it. Actually maker marks help a lot with ID so maybe checking the other pieces for them might help too.

I'll keep checking on the cat then, thanks! It is just marked "Made in China". Maker marks are indeed useful and I always check for those. These are the pieces left that didn't have maker marks or simply something to the effect of "made in China".

I believe E and F went to the 90s Fisher Price Loving Family Dollhouse. My step sister had both of those, no idea which sets though.

M I think is a Barbie cat, she also came with a yellow dog.

N I think is Littlest Pet Shop from the Royal Bombay Kitty.

Thank you so much for the help!! The lot did have Loving Family/Barbie/Littlest Pet Shop items in it so those ID's fit.

J is from a Pound Puppies playset - it was a little van that could be undone and be turned into a cute playset, I have it :> The red/purple stand thing above it is from the same playset. I'm pretty sure P is from that too, but I could be wrong.

Thank you so much!! That makes sense since there were Pound Puppies figures in the lot  ^.^

I purchased a large mix of 80's/90's toys last year and these are the random bits left over that I haven't been able to identify (so they've just been sitting around for a long time lol). Some are probably just junk but I wanted to check and see if anyone recognizes anything. I would appreciate any help!

There's nothing in Ebay's policies that says sellers can't charge whatever they want for shipping or that they have to offer a combined rate/discount as far as I know?

If the shipping rates were posted ahead of time on the auction, that's what you agreed to pay.  Sometimes it's helpful especially for international buyers, since the shipping costs aren't factored when it comes to duty/customs in most countries.  If you didn't think the shipping was acceptable, why'd you bid on this person's auctions?

Not including what was supposed to be in the package isn't acceptable though.  Was the package damaged on arrival, or any sign it'd been previously opened?

I have bought A LOT from people from the UK. The postage price is alwasy neatly combines with a reasonable price. Besides. The shipping prices on the auctions were about 9 GBP each. Which I knew beforehand was mever going to be that high when you combine postage. She even told me that indeed it was the case that she made the shipping higher for profit. The combined shipping price was eventually reduces to 15 GBP combined because I was trying to reason with her. She didn't even bother to say no. She made the shipping so high that it was easy for her to lower it. But even then it was still expensive.

I had never had this happen before on EBay and from the UK. So I was expecting the same from her.

I agree with Baby Sugarberry's comments.

I don't know whether or not you asked the seller ahead of time about the shipping costs, but don't assume that just because other sellers combine shipping for a reasonable rate that they all will. There are sellers who won't give combined shipping discounts and I don't think eBay requires that sellers provide this service. I personally think it is rather silly and a poor practice not to combine shipping but it does happen. Always ask before bidding/buying what the shipping cost will be for the items you are interested in. It will save you a headache later on so you don't have to haggle with the seller post-sale. As a buyer, you can decide not to purchase from someone if you do not like their selling practices (including inflating shipping costs).

I do hope that you are able to find out what happened to the missing pony!

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Issue with eBay and buyer dispute. Help??

If the tracking shows delivered, eBay & PayPal should side with you. This is a fairly common scam eBay buyers try to pull these days. Stick to your guns. Inform the buyer that the tracking shows delivered and if it was in fact stolen off her porch, she will need to file a police report. Inform her that mail theft is considered a federal offense and insist she follow up with the local authorities. In some instances, when a dishonest buyer gets the message that you are familiar with the laws regarding mail theft, their package will magically be found, and they will drop the case.

On the flip side, mail theft is more common around the holidays so it is possible the buyer is being honest. Either way, this problem is between the buyer, her local post office, and the police.

Calling eBay to explain your situation may also help to move your case along quicker and release the hold on your account. Best of luck to you!!

Edit to add:
For what it's worth, I have had more problems selling Littlest Pet Shop on eBay than any other type of item. Multiple cases of "my kid bought this without my permission, please cancel the transaction", non-payers on auctions, and other hassles. Many collectors are kids or teens, rather than adults. My gut instinct is that your buyer bought something they really couldn't afford & they are trying to get you to refund it with this "missing package" story.

Call eBay & state your case. Don't let the buyer pressure you into a refund.
This is the same advice I would have given. I have been in this situation a few times in the past. I also tell buyers to check with neighbors and family members who live in the house to see if it is possible that the package was mis-delivered or a family member brought it in and set it down without informing the buyer.

I second the advice about requesting the buyer file a police report for mail theft, as well as notifying the post office of the theft. No joke, in nearly all of the of instances I've had where the items showed delivered but buyer said they weren't, once I mentioned filing a police report they "magically" found their packages  If the package really was stolen then the police and post office need to know. As others have mentioned, the holiday season is prime time for mail theft.

No matter what your gut instinct is about the buyer, always remain professional and helpful in your messages. I know this can be difficult in situations like this, but it is in your best interest.

Since you have tracking that shows as delivered, you shouldn't have to refund as far as Paypal and eBay are concerned. Worse case scenario would be that she leaves negative feedback. But at least you won't lose all of that money.

If it was over $250, you need signature confirmation. If not, as long as it shows delivered, you are safe. If she already opened a dispute there is not much else you can do except to provide the tracking number that shows delivered. Good luck! Packages are being stolen a lot in the winter.
eBay has actually changed the signature confirmation requirement to orders of $750 or more.

I've definitely noticed delays but that is the norm this time of the year. But 10 days seems an awfully long time for your packages to stay in limbo.

In the past when I've had this problem with USPS, I've filed complaints on their website. In almost all of the instances where packages were "sitting" for too long, they've started moving again soon after filing the complaint.

I hate fedex. They never deliver early. It's like they keep it there until the day of deliver, even if it's sitting in my town for a couple of days. So annoying.
^ This has been my experience too. I don't understand why they won't deliver early.

This has nothing to do with delivery times, but there have been several times when I was home when FedEX delivered and I would witness them THROWING packages marked "FRAGILE" onto the porch... Like they couldn't even be bothered to set the package down or walk another 2 feet...  >_<

A hard selling lesson is, the customer isn't always automatically right. You'll have to stand up for yourself sometimes and weigh if you're willing to accept a negative feedback for it.

I have sold a lot and some - a distinct but irritating minority - customers are impossible to please and will simply never be happy, or try to demand too much, want an unreasonable discount, extras or shipping concessions.

I usually refund and block. After awhile you can identify this type from a mile away. When this happens, be polite, respectful and honest in all of your communications and take a breath and remember to deal in facts, not emotions.

Decide how you'll handle cases where something goes wrong and it is your fault. My personal selling philosophy is that if it's my fault, it's my responsibility to fix. Additional cost I absorb as an expense of doing business. If a customer returns an item due to my error, I refund original shipping plus return shipping. If a customer returns an item for their own reasons, all shipping charges are their responsibility.

9 times out of 10, if a customer approaches you with a problem, they already have a desired solution in mind.

But remember, 99.9% of transactions will be smooth and go off without a hitch with nice friendly buyers and regular, honest communication can solve *almost* any problem that arises.
^I agree with you. It is really hard when you KNOW a buyer is trying to take advantage of you or trying to pull a scam. I have dealt with a couple of people who were beyond reasoning and these were the ones I knew were scamming. There are people out there who CANNOT be pleased and will work the system (eBay makes it pretty easy for buyers to do this unfortunately). You really have to learn to not take it personally. Having a game plan ahead of time helps in case an issue arises down the road.

Well, for me personally, I don't sell anything on eBay unless it's a high value item or a lot.  It is not worth my time and effort on anything less than about $20 in value.  With fees and packaging and time at the Post Office, it's not worth it to net a few dollars (after all the fees) on a single auction.

This is just my personal experience and other people may have the opposite view!

Always write detailed listings. This can save you a headache later on. I personally NEVER use words like "new/like new/great/mint" on eBay because people's opinions on condition are just SO subjective and there are a lot of picky eBayers as well as people who will look for any little excuse to get a discount or the item for free. Try to describe the item as objectively as possible and be honest with flaws. I have always been of the mind that I would rather my buyers be pleasantly surprised that items are better than expected condition than worse. Make note of whether or not the item is from a smoke and/or pet-free home as there are people with sensitivities to these things (nothing worse than opening up a package that reeks of smoke when it wasn't disclosed!!). Try to take lots of clear photos, preferably in natural light.

What I started doing was saying that items were NOT mint and NOT new.  I would say that there may be small flaws and if you were a picky collector to NOT buy from me.

This may sound crazy, but some people will find a tiny flaw that you missed and then it becomes a big issue.  I'd rather just avoid that altogether.  So if I tell people the items are used and NOT mint and there may be flaws I am covered.

I also make sure to say that I am happy to answer questions.  I don't mind checking for specific flaws!  I just don't want to have to go over items with a 'fine tooth comb' in order to make a listing and *still* maybe miss something.

I'm not trying to hide anything, but I try to protect myself with the description.
^Totally understand how it is not worth your time for lower dollar items after all the fees. I am actually a bit on the opposite end, selling more expensive items on eBay always makes me nervous! I refuse to sell any kind of electronics there whatsoever, I've heard too many horror stories.

I do the same thing as you, saying that there may be small flaws that I may miss, sold as-is, not for picky collectors. Also add the phrase that I'm more than happy to answer questions about an item. Best to be as clear as possible to avoid nit-picking later on.

I completely understand your frustrations. I don't have the problem so much on etsy, but I definitely get people complaining about shipping costs on eBay. I once had a prospective buyer get mad at me for not reducing the shipping by $0.75... She got nasty about it (she got blocked very quickly and did not purchase the item). And in that situation the shipping was already cheap and the discount she wanted was so petty! I really don't think that people have any idea how much it costs to ship things, even small items like ponies. Even when they are shown proof of the cost, many still think sellers should eat the cost... There is really an attitude of wanting things shipped for free and delivered within a few days.

As a seller, you have to protect yourself. I think that the tracking is very important, it is your only defense for people claiming items were not received/delivered. For me, it is not an option to ship without tracking. I don't want to risk the loss. ButI understand some countries, such as yours, charge a lot to add this service (luckily in the US it is not expensive). Would it be possible for you to factor this cost into the item's listing price for ponies you don't want to send without tracking (such as more expensive ones) so that people do not fixate on the "shipping" costs?

I think your 1 week rule for holding items is more than fair. You don't have to hold something for months for someone who may or may not purchase the item. In my experience, holding items for more than a week or two has never turned out very well.

I hope all of your ponies are able to find good homes, whether they are sold through etsy or elsewhere
