I'd opt for dyeing too - it is SUCH a unique colour (one of my favourites!) that no other blues in the DH range really come close, even with blending :/ xx

Here is my Sindy in Blueberry Muffin - if you click through you will find my (long since ended) link to her from when she was on Ebay - there are lots of pics on the auction description if you wanted to see the colour in all different lights!!

ooooh I love him!

A little beard would look ace - if the nylon proves tricky to style, how about a tiny bit of product in it to help keep it in check? Polypropylene is a little stiffer so may work well?

I would go with Golden Delicious. Granny Smith is old and G1 Applejack has Golden Delicious so....

Ditto to this - Golden Delicious is a gorgeous colour  (bonus being it is also in stock at MLC lol!)

Customs / Re: Saran match for bobby blue?
« on: April 28, 2012, 11:05:47 AM »
There isn't much range in the saran when it comes to blues unfortunately :/

MLC is definitely the best place for seeing colours in true light photos (DH stock photos can sometimes be way off) if Circus Blue is too light then I can't think of another colour which would work - Lagoon Blue / Azure Blue (same colour, different names) is a a more greyish tone of blue. Phtalto Blue / Sapphire Blue (different names again but same colour) would be way too dark.

Azure Blue / Lagoon Blue  http://www.mylittlecustoms.com/Azure_Blue/p635040_2825966.aspx

Sapphire / Phtalto http://www.mylittlecustoms.com/Sapphire/p635040_2825962.aspx

and of course, Bobby Blue so you can see what I mean LOL http://www.mylittlecustoms.com/Bobby_Blue/p635040_2787132.aspx

I don't know if that helps or not though really! LOL

My general rule of thumb is the same as ZarineBashire's:

straight sleek style: Saran

bouncy, curling, styling, going for repro MLP: Nylon

I have to say though, I was a DIE HARD saran fan until nylon came along, now nylon is my hair of choice :D  One tip re: nylon - make sure it is Dollyhair nylon (as sold by dollyhair or mylittlecustoms) as it is soft and lovely - other nylons on the market are a thicker denier and don't sit as nicely - restoredoll for example, the nylon is nice but misses that little bit of je ne sais quoi ..... its really hard to explain! LOL

If you try DH nylon against other nylons you will know what I mean lol

I would think Sugarberry would be her match.  I do not have one on hand though.  Lovely girl!

I second this!! :D

Looking at my Spectra, I'd say Sour Grapes and maybe Wisteria or Hyacinth for the light lavender layer?

DAISYDAYES!!!! She's a gorgeous little thing, I have hovered over "buy now" more times than I can count on jpop's site - I already ordered DaisyDayes Ignatz as I had a Soom centaur BUT I have just sold my soom boy as he is a bit too big for me (turns out I loves the tinies) and so Elise is an itch I may well regret not scratching.

I missed out on her polar bear bjd by too much umming and ahhing, by the time I decided to get him, POOF he was gone from the site as he was totally sold out :(
