Personal: Hey there everyone, I got by the name of Liz and I am so glad to have been able to find this forum. I first found this forum through a thread about beginner collectors. It peaked my interest because I have always thought about collecting ponies. I hope to gain knowledge and share good times over ponies with everyone.
How old are you? I am 27 years old and my birthday is in the summer.
Where do you live? State, Country? I live in the United States in the state of Massachusetts
Do you work or attend school? Profession or major? I currently work in a factory full-time building heaters, simple work but a bit boring.
Who are the important people in your life? My family and my girlfriend, ill be moving out to Indiana to be living with her soon!
Ponies:
How long have you been collecting? I haven't but I have always had my eye on wanting to and feel the time is now to start since I will be moving into my own place with my girlfriend, who does not mind this plan.
Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4? Right now I think I am looking at G1 and G4, but I need to do more looking before I settle on any specific generation.
What made you want to collect ponies? If I am honest, G4 brought me back into loving ponies and that lead to me looking at the older generations with a heightened interest.
Tell us about your collection!
I have some MLP BABs and some of the G4 trading cards. Other than that I am going to be starting my collection from scratch. What really got me thinking about it is that there has been a set of 35th anniversary ponies released that got my interest. :inlove:

Welcome to the Arena
I'm so glad that a newer generation of ponies has renewed your interest and nostalgia in ponies in general :) We all have to start somewhere but I look forward to seeing your collection expand in time.

Thank you so much! I look forward to starting my collection soon. Not so sure where I will start first.

Welcome to the arena! There’s no right or wrong way to start a collection. Just wander and see where the adventure takes you.

Hi, welcome to the Arena! Moving to Indiana sounds exciting! And you don't have to settle on one or two specific generation, you can just collect what you want :) Glad you joined, I look forward to seeing you around! Hope you have fun here!

Welcome to the arena! I hope you have fun here and find some nice ponies for your collection :0

Welcome to the arena! I love the G4 trading cards, too. I started out with only G4, but I picked up older generations and now my favorite generation is the first. If you are planning to go thrifting, G3's are the most common and you can get them for a pretty good price, but I still love G1 ponies the most. Finding them in the wild is the most rewarding thing. I hope you share your collection progression with us!

Welcome, welcome! So glad to have you with us! I hope you enjoy yourself here and have lots of fun drooling over all the ponies while searching for the ones you like most :frolic:
Looking for ponies at thrift stores and antique stores is perhaps my favorite thing about the hobby and it's so much fun, too! That thrill of discovering some long-forgotten treasure...ah, nothing like it. I wish you much luck in your pony hunting!

I am glad to not be the only one just really starting out. I've been looking at lots lately trying to determine if I want to do that or buy individual ponies.
