Decided to do this girl up as Bow Tie! The colors just seemed perfect for her and I've been dying to do my favourites as Dino's! Bad lighting at night but what do you think?

Glitter and sparkle is just so addictive! I keep adding more lol! I just made some glow in the dark ones too!

For now the 3 horns will be different colors, but I might make some colored pebble scales to run along their backs to break up the one color bodies. I haven't sculpted it yet so I'll have to figure that out. Maybe some inlay on the frill

That's a cool idea since you could give it a crest like a cockatoo.
Also I was just thinking that if you did a long neck kind of dinosaur that would be perfect for Sweetheart Sisters and/or G2s.

I always loved dinosaurs and mlp, but i never liked any of the dinosaurs toys they released. Mlp are a perfect mix of cute/ real... where as dinosaurs were always super cutesy ... to the point where they didn't even look realistic. So that's why I make these. I'm doing something I really enjoy :)

Does her body look blue? It's a deep purple with opal flakes and glitter. She was one of my favourites growing up so it looked really good on a stego body. She's now done and up for sale on my etsy!

I sculpt the original model, make a mould, pour resin with pretty color and glitter... then dinosaur!
It's a fun maternity leave hobby.

Yah I hope to have the time to continue this after maternity leave ends in sept :(. We shall see!
I know I can get two moulds out of one gallon of silicone, so I hope to make a triceratops and a feathered raptor to cover the unicorns and the Pegasus! I just enjoy doing it a lot. Finally something creative to do. Doing digital art was good but I hate that years of my work only exists on computer

Thanks! I love that I can make lots of different color choices with this sculpt! I'm doing bubbles (g1) next . Since I sold some, I can buy more resin! So any suggestions for color combos or g1 suggestions would be great!

Yup! I would like to do a triceratops next, followed by a feathered raptor or a long neck Dino. I want to keep them with multiple color combinations. So the trike will have different colored horns and possibly some large spots along the back to break up the single color. I hope to make them pressurized casts some day but as a mom of 3 young kids and a career in the Canadian military, in. Not sure how that will go :(

....oh how I wish I had some extra cash lying around! These are too dang precious, you're doing such a good job!! Seriously these are so unique but also just, you look at them and can tell that MLP is the inspiration. I especially love that Bow Tie you did, the stego pose you did works so well to mimic the shy pose she has (though I might have a bias because I really love Bow Tie lol).

They are heavily influenced by mlp because I always wanted cute dinosaur toys like the mlp ones. They were the perfect balance of real/cute.
Here is the triceratops I'm working on now! Not sure if i want to change anything yet. What do you think of the head? I wanted to do at least one face on... but I don't want it to look boring? Maybe I will open the mouth more?

I made the original sculpts and cast them with resin! I love making them glittery and colourful. Just debating if I want to change anything on the triceratops before I make its mold.

Oooohh, they're beautiful! I absolutely love the color you chose.
The obvious answer, of course, would be to base them on the Tropical Ponies -- Pina Colada and Hula Hula are the obvious choices, but I think one based on Sea Breeze could work too.
EDIT: I think Lickety Split would be quite adorable and summery too!

My hubs and I love toy design and Sculpey/Fimo, and I know how to mold and cast metal, so I know how much work goes in to something like this! I've never tried to mold clay forms though, so if you learned how to do this online I would LOVE to learn! if it's your own special method though, I understand. PLEASE keep making them, I can't wait to see more. <3

I ended up going on a break for holidays but I have a couple of in the works babies ready for paint.
I was experimenting with mixing colors, some came put pretty and others look like fruit roll ups lol!!!
