Ah, I always called them frosted animal cookies. I think those would be one of my faves, when it comes to store bought cookies... I think they are so cute, I would love a little resin charm of one~I also recently saw some really cute cakes with these used at the theme. I thought about doing that next time I made a cake.
I would love to see a gluten free version! These were the best kinds of animal cookie. I remember the kind with a thin glaze too, but it's not as good in my opinion.

i have only ever been familiar with the thick glazed ones. Are there thin glazed within the U.S? Hmmm, try mailing the company a signed petition for gluten free ones? I don’t know where you might begin trying to coerce the makers of them...
