Successfully removing the hard drive from an old PC tower on my own. It's been a long time since I was supervising Btech students in doing that, so I was pretty happy I remembered what I was doing xD

Pink Elephant Fakie Is Baby!!! I have a normal-sized yellow elephant fakie, & then PKW found a load more elephant fakies & offered me my choice. I told her I had yellow but would take pink. Pink arrived today with current order & is so smol & cute!!! Love her!!!

I heard the news about the Saban Moon pilot that was never picked up (Saban's attempt to bring SM to the US by completely taking all of the character names and changing most character designs but keeping the basic SM plot)  It was supposed to be a live action/animated show with Sailor Moon living on earth with Luna, but she could be summoned by her mother Queen Serenity in to the animated world when the planets were threatened.  The pilot is so bad that it's funny in places.   There's a huge plot hole in the pilot that I assume would have been explained later on.   I know someone must have worked hard on Saban Moon for the pilot to exist but I'm glad that it was never picked up for a full series.

our new sofa was finally delivered yesterday. it's larger than the last one so all of the dogs will be able to sit with us. really the furniture is for them. i just pay for it 

they immediately jumped on it so i think it's safe to say they approve. hopefully it will hold up to 3 dogs.

It's been a rough couple of days, but tonight I got to chat to one of my close university friends. SHe lives in Mumbai (She's originally from Delhi) and it was like 2am where she was, but she wanted to chat when she heard what was going on here and it was good to have an outside person to talk to.

I moved around a couple of things in the display cabinet to put in my POP! grail in the box, I REALLy need to rearrange everyone  The dust is BAAAAAAAD in there. I also need to get stands for some of them to make sure they stay up

My favourite band has announced their Europe 2023 tour, I'm debating wither to go to Berlin my usual haunt or do something different and go to Munich.

Placed a couple of orders for my birthday, one for very dumb books that none the less I kinda want, and the other for merch for the band!

I got accepted onto my MA recently, but the real reason I'm excited is because I was looking at modules today and there is a digital histories module - a programming module seeking to combine interests in computer science and history to work on databases and such!! Which are my two biggest interests. I'm really hoping I can get a place on it (not that I expect it will be super oversubscribed) - I've done programming as a hobby so to get some proper teaching would be AWESOME!

On Sunday, my brother, his children, and his common-law wife came to visit us.   We finally got to celebrate our mother's and niece's birthdays, which were on the same day, August 7.
